TAPES:

Partial list of the saved / kissy face fashion faux pas - split 3,00 €
2 techgrind bands from the us team up for this amazing split. Plots do dissonant blast stuff with high screamigs while kfffp do jazzy techmosh with lots of breakdowns and keyboards. Fuck yeah. Awesome.
(yehonala tapes)

The realness – s/t 3,00 €
awesome oldschool hardcore without any toughguy shit. Cool lyrics, cool packaing. Get it.

7inch:

cheerleaders of the apocalypse – rock’n roll destruction 4,00 €
bremenstyle!
(react with protest)

cheerleaders of the apocalypse / hocus – split 4,00 €
CHEERLEADERS totally fit into that Death Thrash Metal Hysteria that became famous for Germany. Maybe the missing link between ACRID and MÖRSER! HOCUS are ENFOLD and HYBRIS kids teaming up for the heavy weight championship. Brutal stuff reminiscent mixing HIS HERO IS GONE´s heavyness, ENTOMBED ("to ride, shoot straight,..." Era) and newer Emo-Metal stuff.
(scorched earth policy)

cohesion / worlds between us – split 4,00 €
2 tracks each side. All new. Two up and coming HC acts that come together here for this 7” transparent split vinyl released by newborn Italian Autumn Walker records. COHESION hails from Pisa, Italy, formed in 2001, have already released one EP ‘Lovely Hate’ on Engineer records and play modern HC that merges a good deal of Old school and New school influences in a pretty personal way. ‘G.I.Joe vs Cobra’ and ‘R.u.o.k./m.a(h)?’ ( curious titles! ) blast out some seriously solid HC and present a band really tight that is helping to keep the Italian HC flag high. The band featured on the side two, WORLDS BETWEEN US, comes from Vienna, Austria, have an EP ‘Life In Colored Squares’ out on Engineer records and play a brand of fast, heavy, chaotic yet melodic HC. It sounds like these guys grew up wearing out their Poison The Well, Converge, Bane and Iron Maiden cds. The band manages to keep it fresh, short and showcases 2 powerful songs where a bouncing, and wide-ranging guitar work ( I really like the 80’s metal flavoured riffing ) joins forces with harsh well executed vocals and a ass-kicking rhythmic section.

danse macabre / am i dead yet - split 4,00 €
screamo violence.(react with protest)

danse macabre / her breath on glass – split picture 4,00 €

the spirit of versailles – in line for halos 4,00 €
hailing from south dakota, this band was one of the most desperate and political screamo bands ever. with an incredible voice!
(forever escaping boredom)

12inch:

cease upon the capitol – self titled 10,00 €
Powerful Euro style screamo from the us. wild and beautiful.
(react with protest)

her breath on glass – building monuments to survival 10,00 €
HER BREATH ON GLASS is an intense duo playing dark, moody emotional music and feature ex-members of THE SADDEST LANDSCAPE and THE LAST FORTY SECONDS.

CD’s:

Chariots - the inner life 6,00 €
With 'The Inner Life' EP, Chariots have produced the farewell record which has redefined their boundaries once again, and makes their demise all the more sad. Taking any of the genre names which may have been associated with Chariots before to another plane altogether, their sound remains crushing and intense whilst taking in a far wider scope, involving atmospheric instrumental interludes and post-rock passages which combine with something altogether more heavy, beautiful and sinister. Fans of anything from Envy and Orchid to Shikari and His Hero is Gone should take note. (holy roar)

Chronicles of adam west – s/t 6,00 €
Definitely not grind, Chronicles' brand of relentless tech-metal with death-tinges crosses over to lands normally inhabited by something far more experimental or even prog. With an appeal as far and wide as Meshuggah and The End to The Murder Of, they defy description and show British experimental metal has more life in it than the Myspace bands which have over-saturated the scene. These five songs make for a devastatingly accomplished debut.
(holy roar)

Cohesion - lovely hate 10,00 €
Awesome italian midschool hardcore. (autumn walker)

Dove yellow swans – live during war crimes vol.2 10,00 €
The second volume, this time a collection of darker and more sinister live recordings taken from their tour in Europe early 2006. 42 black minutes of creepy soundscapes painting a depressive picture of a world going down in dust and ashes. The 5 songs all has a weird desperate and dense apocalyptic feel to them, making this a haunting and very bleak experience. Trashy dark rumblings and total coldness. Again very well-edited stuff by Pete Swanson, works more like a full proper album than just a collection of random recordings. Amazing. Comes packaged in a Dual Plover full color sleeve with black felt. Cover drawings by Liz Harris of Grouper.

Nonhorse – Haraam, circle of fame 10,00 €
Nonhorse is the solo incarnation of Gabriel Lucas Crane who participates in the Vanishing Voice element of Wooden Wand & The Vanishing Voice. For this, his debut solo album, Crane’s cassettecore noisescapes are finally given centre-stage, and the resultant scrapyard of lost sampled recordings and general audio debris makes for a truly dizzying listen. This is noise music at its most primitive, with a collage approach being the principal technique at Crane’s disposal. The severe tapedeck mangling never quite allows the source material to reveal itself, but throughout the album’s thirteen tracks there’s a strong sense of variety and sonic dynamism, with Crane by turns summoning up walls of howling feedback, cut-and-paste slapstick plunderphonics and Henri Chopin-like concrète manipulations. Noiseniks should also be aware that this magnificent mess was mastered by Yellow Swans’ din monger, Pete Swanson.
(release the bats)

Raccoo-oo-oon – is nigh people 10,00 €
Swirling sax-and-effects-heavy free-form punk from Iowa Citys Raccoo-oo-oon. Is Night People is their first magical recording, 7 organic rituals creating a majestic outlet of neverending energy. Beautiful cascades of manipulated vocals and layers of feedback melting together over sunny explosions of insane drumming. In the vein of Sun City Girls, Here Comes The Indian-era Animal Collective, Excepter etc. The cd comes in a letterpressed black Arigato Pak with gold ink made by Stumptown Printers and stunning art by Shawn Reed in the band. (release the bats)
