-----------------------------------------------------------
AMBUSH! - American monster CD 8.50 EUR

HARDCORE. Florida's AMBUSH! break through with their debut full-length disc entitled "American monster" and throw their own spin on the hardcore sound with melodies, harsh breakdowns and high-pitched vocals, bringing to mind COMEBACK KID or the earlier sounds of STRETCH ARMSTRONG. (2008/HOTFOOT)

-----------------------------------------------------------
BEAT VOX - Schnauze CD 4.90 EUR

ELECTROCLASH. BEAT VOX cooks with analogue synths and fourtracktape and lays down one beat after another opening up into a trippy voyage in this first full length set. Limited to 50 copies. (2008/BASKAT)

-----------------------------------------------------------
BIRTH OF A HERO - We are the new breed MCD 8.50 EUR

HARDCORE. From Minneapolis, MN, BIRTH OF A HERO represent the straight edge lifestyle and feature former members of TOO PURE TO DIE, bringing to the table 5 tracks of heavy hardcore for this debut EP that is reminiscent of THROWDOWN, STRIFE, BURIED ALIVE, MADBALL and "All Out War"-era EARTH CRISIS. (2008/SEVENTH DAGGER)

-----------------------------------------------------------
BLOWBACK - Living vibration LP 10.50 EUR

HARDCORE-PUNK. The finest Nigata hardcore punk, BLOWBACK 's new work after an interval of two years from previous one! -----------------------------------------------------------
BRATPACK - Hate the neighbours LP/CD 9.90/10.50 EUR

HARDCORE-PUNK. Hailing from the eastern part of The Netherlands comes a band that you would expect from the western and sunny side of California. With ex- and current members of BEANS, ANTILECTUALL, MY REPLY and CITIZENS PATROL they have a wide variety of musicians in the band and that's something you distinctly hear in their sound. Influences vary from the melodic sounds of NO FX ( take note off the melodic guitar intros), BAD RELIGION, NO USE FOR A NAME but with a harder edge than any of these bands using influences of hardcore bands such as RKL, STALAG 13, 7 SECONDS en old New York and DC hardcore bands like MINOR THREAT and URBAN WASTE. (2008/CRUCIAL ATTACK)

-----------------------------------------------------------
BROB - Empty life LP 11.50 EUR

GRINDCORE. Despite being a band for a decade, this is the first full-length offering from Japan's BROB who use a high-powered grind attack spaced over 22 tracks on this release, citing such influences as NAPALM DEATH, AGATHOCLES and UNHOLY GRAVE. (2008/ONE PERCENT)

-----------------------------------------------------------
BROKEN DISTANCE - Hourglass MCD 7.50 EUR

HARDCORE. From the south of Portugal, born from the ashes of youth crew heroes POINTING FINGER, BROKEN DISTANCE quickly established a name for themselves with the release of their demo in late 2006. Combine powerful, melodic riffs with passionate, heartfelt lyrics and an energetic presence on stage and you'll find BROKEN DISTANCE. "Hourglass" is their first EP, destined to make them a name to be remembered.
(2008/MONUMENT)

-----------------------------------------------------------
CALABI YAU - Elitist 7'' 3.70 EUR

POST-PUNK. CALABI YAU hail from Charlotte, NC and have been around since 2004. They are currently working on a new LP/CD for release on Alone Records in late 2008. Over the last few years they've perfected combination of an upbringing listening to too much of the Skin Graft catalog, early no-wave, and a little D.C. post-punk rhythm and melody. They have a truly unique dual-guitar style with amazing drumming that relies much more on accents than beats, making a sound not unlike DNA. CALABI YAU have done several regional tours, one national tour. They also run the Yauhaus, a local DIY house-show staple. This is CALABI YAU's first vinyl release after one full-length CD on Din Din Records. (2008/LUNCHBOX)

-----------------------------------------------------------
CRUDE - Immortality LP 9.90 EUR

HARDCORE-PUNK. Finally repressed! CRUDE's 4th full length "Immortality" compiles the band's best songs to date (chosen by the band from past releases) on one monster release and confidently establishes this band as one of the top traditional Japanese hardcore bands of the past decade. This is pure "Burning Spirit" hardcore at its best. Top notch musicianship (tight, fast, well constructed and catchy as hell) and perfectly delivered vocals makes this a sure pleasure for anyone craving blazing solid Japanese hardcore. Fans of WARHEAD, FORWARD, BASTARD, GAUZE, DISCHARGE, POSION IDEA and other such classic outfits should take note.

(2008/DERANGED)

-----------------------------------------------------------
DISSOLVE - Caveman of the future CD 10.90 EUR

METALCORE. Originally to be released in 2001 on now-defunct MIA Records, "Caveman of the future" twists and turns through DISSOLVE's signature brand of chaotic metalcore that can be appreciated by fans of KISS IT GOODBYE, VOIVOD, MASTODON and TODAY IS THE DAY. They started playing back in 1992 in their home of upstate New York and became an integral part of the hardcore and metal scenes, playing shows with the likes of HATEBREED, ALL OUT WAR, CANDIRIA, OVERCAST, SHADOWS FALL, NEUROSIS and NAPALM DEATH and are still active through 2008. (2008/TRIP MACHINE)

-----------------------------------------------------------
DOUBLE DAGGER - Same 7'' 4.20 EUR

POST-PUNK. This three-piece (bass, drums, vocals) is doing what all great bands must do, they are taking something tried and true and twisting it and turning it into something new and unique and fun. Over-driven bass and tight, yet lively, drumming combine to create a frenetic and frantic soundtrack for the singer's sharp wit to weave clever diatribes of our failures as humans. Comparisons could be made to bands like GANG OF FOUR, FUGAZI or WIRE, but only as far as influences go, not as direct "sounds like" references. DOUBLE DAGGER are a one of a kind experience who can play alongside art school favorites like DAN DEACON as fluidly as punkrock stalwarts like the BUZZCOCKS. (2008/TOXIC POP)

-----------------------------------------------------------
END OF A YEAR / RED TAPE PARADE - Split 7'' 3.90 EUR

HARDCORE. Germany's RED TAPE PARADE with New York City's END OF A YEAR. The split contains two songs from each band; one original and one cover of the song that gave the other band their name. END OF A YEAR has "William Kennedy" and SEAWEED's "Red tape parade." RED TAPE PARADE has "Towns" and the EMBRACE classic "End of a year." (2008/COBRA X)

-----------------------------------------------------------
ENEMY IS US - Venomized CD 10.50 EUR

METAL. You could say that ENEMY IS US is keeping their native country's metal legacy alive by delivering an explosive mixture of old- school Swedish death metal, new school thrash and adding just a touch of hardcore aggression. Their second album ''Venomized'' is slick, diverse and calculating; shifting between full throttle tracks like "Through Vile Black Blood" and "My Cross To Bear" then suddenly coming to a menacing crawl with fist pumping anthems like "Show Me Them Horns" and "Carnal Betray." Co-produced by veteran, Daniel Bergstrand (MESHUGGAH, SOILWORK, IN FLAMES), it's no wonder that ''Venomized'' is massive in sound and flawless in its presentation. Eleven tracks of hook filled choruses and unforgettable riffs that will surely help to propel ENEMY IS US into the metal spotlight where they will soon stand with the likes of AT THE GATES and ENTOMBED as true champions of their homeland. (2008/BASTARDIZED)

-----------------------------------------------------------
ESTRANGED, THE - Entranced 7'' 4.20 EUR

PUNK. After two great 7"s earlier this year, here is another great 7"s from Portland's own THE ESTRANGED. With members having done time in the bands REMAINS OF THE DAY, HELLSHOCK, FROM ASHES RISE and WARCRY, this trio takes on a style a bit removed from their hardcore roots, drawing from influences like The WIPERS, MISSION OF BURMA, WIRE and WARSAW. (2008/DEAD IDEAS)

-----------------------------------------------------------
FALCON FIVE, THE / PATTERNS - Split MCD 8.90 EUR

POST-PUNK. Damn good looking and sounding split release. The FALCON FIVE from Würzburg feat. members of doomers OMEGA MASSIF and they deliver some catchy, yet darkish songs with straightforward rhythm and a dancy twist. Acording to them you should ''imagine WIPERS, ABBA and infamous krautsters ASH RA TEMPEL munching away on cotton candy at the local fairground and you got the idea.''. PATTERNS from Cologne are a bit more freaky and experimental, somewhere between Q AND NOT U and BLACK EYES. Four exclusive songs from each band. (2008/CARDIO CLUB)

-----------------------------------------------------------
FUCKED UP - Police 7'' 3.90 EUR

HARDCORE-PUNK. Finyll repressed! Their second and best 7" which includes their song "Police." This record only reaffirms the superb song writing and delivery abilities of this young Canadian band. Catchy, powerful straight forward, yet melodic hardcore punk. A fresh combination of mid-tempo growling vocals ala NEGATIVE APPROACH and driving rhythm like ADOLESCENTS/GERMS. (2008/DERANGED)

-----------------------------------------------------------
GASLIGHT ANTHEM, THE - The '59 sound 7'' 4.20 EUR

PUNKROCK. New Jersey's The GASLIGHT ANTHEM have been quickly picking up steam over the last two years, touring constantly and putting out upbeat, danceable, country-influenced punk records. The band's momentum was noticed by Side One Dummy, who will be putting out a full-length in late 2008, with this two-track 7" serving as a teaser. (2008/SIDE ONE DUMMY)

-----------------------------------------------------------
GRACE ALLEY / SKIN LIKE IRON - Quake City (Split) 7''col 4.90 EUR

HARDCORE. Spiderghost presents this split of 2008's best kept Bay Area secrets, starting with GRACE ALLEY, who feature the frontman of RAMPARTS and ALL BETS OFF and bring a rock, yet melodic, hardcore approach played at a mid-tempo pace. SKIN LIKE IRON play at a similar pace, but have a much more abrasive sound, with screamed vocals and cranked up guitars. (2008/SPIDERGHOST PRESSGANG)

-----------------------------------------------------------
GRAVE MAKER - Bury me at sea CD 8.90 EUR

HARDCORE. A lot can be said about a band that plays more than 100 shows in the first six months of their existence. GRAVE MAKER are a band who blasted out of the gate, without help from anyone. No label support, no management, and no booking agent. GRAVE MAKER may be a new band, but the members have grown up in the hardcore scene. Look for the Northwest natives in your town before the end of 2008 supporting their debut, "Bury me at sea". The full-length effort was produced by Roger Cameron (THE WARRIORS, NO MOTIV) and features guests including Andrew Neufeld of COMEBACK KID and Rick Jimenez of THIS IS HELL and SOLIDERS. (2008/THINK FAST!)

-----------------------------------------------------------
HAVE HEART - Songs to scream at the sun LPcol 9.90 EUR

HARDCORE. HAVE HEART "Songs to scream at the sun" is a landmark for the history of Boston’s prolific hardcore scene. Following their debut that turned them from unsuspecting Boston band into a world touring powerhouse, HAVE HEART was named one of AP’s “Bands To Know” and they are set to break into the next level and cement themselves as a premiere name in hardcore and punk. Recorded with Kurt Ballou of CONVERGE at God City Studios, HAVE HEART has created an album that is truly unlike any hardcore record out there in terms of sheer power and emotion, as well as production. Similar to REFUSED a decade ago, HAVE HEART has taken the hardcore genre and redefined what it means to be a hardcore band and they’re geared to leave everyone else in their wake.
(2008/BRIDGE NINE)

-----------------------------------------------------------
HERE COMES CONCLUSION - Oh La La LP 11.90 EUR

POST-PUNK. First album by this german band, featuring ex-members of SMART-ASS DYNAMITE! 13 songs, packed into a colourful gatefold-cover, and including a coupon for a free download! And what you get to hear, actually is some sort of conclusion of anything that ROCKS! Take LES SAVY FAV or ENIAC on one end, TEN VOLT SHOCK on the other, and place this band in the middle... or any other comparisons that will mean it’s catchy, getting into your feet, and driving with a punch. (2008/CARDIO CLUB)

-----------------------------------------------------------
INSUBORDINATE - Same LP 10.90 EUR

HARDCORE. The debut LP, released DIY style, from this Northwestern band balances rawness and speed with intensity and innovation into an '80s hardcore sound that is far from cliche. It is an album as much about ideas as sound, and each song accomplishes something different. Fluctuating from snotty ragers to psychedelic soundscapes, from heavy brooding head-bangers, to out-of-control speedy hardcore punk, INSUBORDINATE is not tied down in any specific sound or image. This LP features a 14 page booklet featuring band pictures, hand drawn artwork, and writings by the band members. There are explanations for each song’s lyrics which cover topics such as global warming, drinking and driving, the
seven day work week and religion, and despite for bankers, credit, and investment. Comparable to bands like REAGAN YOUTH, CODE OF HONOR, STOOGES, MINOR THREAT, BATHORY and BLACK SABBATH. (2008/DIY)

-----------------------------------------------------------
JAPANISCHE KAMPFHÖRSPIELE / ARE YOU GOD? - Split 3''CD 5.90 EUR

GRINDCORE. A meeting of germany's and brazil's most wanted for a great split of intellectual and furious grindcore. JAKA opens with 5 new tracks, powered with more agony then ever. The sound is a bit more raw then on their previous outputs but it feels like they found what they were aiming for. AYG? present 3 new uncompromising tracks of their avantgarde but rocking Grindcore. An awesome mixture of music, presented in a 3" slipcase and includes all lyrics. (2008/BASKAT)

-----------------------------------------------------------
MASSGRAV / WIDESPREAD BLOODSHED - Split 7'' 4.20 EUR

THRASHCORE. Finally after much delay, this 7" sees the light of day. Two of Swedens best bands team up for this monster of a split. MASSGRAV with 4 new songs of furious pissed-off up your fucking ass scandi-thrash! WIDESPREAD BLOODSHED with 10 new trax of hyper turbo speed hardcore destructo thrash, some of the fastest shit you'll ever hear!! Comes in an awesome full-color cover. (2008/HAUNTED HOTEL)

-----------------------------------------------------------
MISERY SIGNALS - Controller CD 10.90 EUR

POST-ROCK/METAL. Over the past five years MISERY SIGNALS has made huge strides within their own creative bubble, which encompasses raging metallic crunch and real life narratives seamlessly blended with beautiful instrumental and melodic post-rock sections. Technically adept but still primal, they are a band’s band, able to start a mosh pit with no problem but also getting the rock hipsters to nod their heads in respect. "Controller" is the band’s third full-length album and sets a new watermark in the band’s career. It is a high markto aim for, as the band’s last full-length, "Mirrors" (2006), received a deluge of critical acclaim and fan praise, going on to sell 40,000 units around the world. MISERY SIGNALS has been popular touring partners with bands across the heavy spectrum, hitting the road with such acts as DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, BLEEDING THROUGH, NORMA JEAN, ALL THAT REMAINS, EMMURE, SHAI HULUD, THE CHARIOT, DARKEST HOUR, DEAD TO FALL and BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME. (2008/FERRET)

-----------------------------------------------------------
OBSTRUCTION - Same 7''+CD 3.70 EUR

THRASHCORE. While most of the state seems obsessed with the throwback style hardcore on No Way & Sorry State Records, North Carolina's OBSTRUCTION are one of the few modern punk bands that incite comparisons to both the FAITH and "Dealing With It" period D.R.I. Honing their crossover style of hardcore while playing dozens of shows in the Southeast with bands like Municipal Waste, Double Negative, Magrudergrind, Phobia, etc. they've become a permanent fixture in NC's thriving punk scene. This is their debut 7" after a pair of demos that received great reviews and an interview in the Febuary 2008 issue of MRR. It contains 5 ultra fast songs of blistering punk/thrash mayhem. Comes on colored vinyl and features hand-colored covers. Each record also comes with a CD of the songs, (2008/LUNCHBOX)

-----------------------------------------------------------
OFFSIDES - It's a struggle to communicate MCD 7.50 EUR

HARDCORE. When hardcore fans think of Connecticut, HATEBREED almost always comes to mind. Pretty soon, however, people might start to think of OFFSIDES. This girl-fronted, pissed off youth crew band has been turning heads and earning accolades from some of their most popular contemporaries. A departure from the sound of their demo and split 7” with RIPSHIT, the band has moved away from the thrashier, unrefined writing style, to a more mature and musically evolved sound; complete with emotional lyrics and catchy choruses. The album features Charles Chaussinand (MAKE OR BREAK, NO HARM DONE, TRAMPLE, ESTEEM, FLAME STILL BURNS and Get Outta Town Records) on guitar and it is clear that some new faces in this band have certainly breathed new life into what they are doing. This is a presently unmatched style for a girl-fronted band and certain to yield head-walks, stage dives and toe touches all around. (2008/GET OUTTA TOWN)

-----------------------------------------------------------
POOSTEW - Misericordia MCD 7.50 EUR

GRINDCORE. ''Misericordia'' is the highly anticipated 1-track EP album from POOSTEW. The title track is divided into four chapters, dealing with global warming, the abuse of the earth, abuse of authority and the account of the world population. Tight death-grind blasts wrapped in hardcore structures and fueled with a punk attitude and interesting, critical lyrics. This CD version includes a CD-only "bonus-track" of 14 seconds...Go for this great death-grind release! (2008/BASKAT)

-----------------------------------------------------------
S.S.S.P. / PRIMA LINEA - Split 7''pic 4.90 EUR

STREETPUNK. New York's S.S.S.P., featuring members of WARZONE, KILL YOUR IDOLS, NO REDEEMING SOCIAL VALUE, CR and CELEBRITY MURDERS bring 2 tracks of raucous Oi! to this limited edition picture disc, while Italy's PRIMA LINEA provide 1 track of straight forward street punk in the spirit of BONECRUSHER, DISCIPLINE and 4 SKINS. (2008/KOI)

-----------------------------------------------------------
SAVES THE DAY - Sound the alarm LP 13.90 EUR

INDIEROCK. There are few bands today that can lay claim to helping break a new style of music the way SAVES THE DAY did years ago. After a brief stint with a major label, the band is back on Vagrant Records. Also back on "Sound the Alarm" is the classic Saves The Day sound with all the revved up tempos and catchy melodies SAVES THE DAY fans have grown accustomed to throughout the years. (2008/VAGRANT)

Soulrebel Records proudly presents SEASICK "Ouroboros", a new one sided 12inch EP. that includes an "Ouroboros" (a snake eating itself) drawing that is laser etched onto the flip side of the vinyl. -----------------------------------------------------------
SEED OF PAIN - Thunder and consolation 7'' 3.90 EUR

NEW-SCHOOL HARDCORE. Half a year after the release of their "Power, corruption and lies" LP, SEED OF PAIN from Lucerne/Switzerland are back with a new EP called "Thunder and consolation." Their music is filled with groovy, heavy and progressive hardcore in the vein of BURN, 108, OUTSPOKEN and other bands from the early ’90s with a similar sound. The records comes on heavy black vinyl (70g) and in a handmade silkscreened cover. (2008/COBRA X)

-----------------------------------------------------------
SIX REASONS TO KILL - Another horizon CD 10.50 EUR

METALCORE. SIX REASONS TO KILL is now armed with a new vocalist, Thorsten Polomski, and a fresh perspective on how to conquer the metal world. The new album "Another horizon" follows the same destructive path of its predecessor, but with more vocal melody infused into their now distinct "sledgehammer to your face" approach. Along with the unabashedly "metal worship" also comes a socially conscious album, dealing with such topics as discrimination, environmental exploitation, racism, war and human rights. (2008/BASTARDIZED)

-----------------------------------------------------------
SLEEPWALL - Same 7'' 4.20 EUR

INDIEROCK. This debut 7" from Long Island, NY's SLEEPWALL finds the members, who previously did time in ROBOT WHALES, SICK OF TALK and AGENT, playing a melodic, mid-'90s style of rock with influences from bands like HUM, SUGAR, DINOSAUR JR., SEAWEED and even MY BLOODY VALENTINE. (2008/TOXIC POP)

-----------------------------------------------------------
SLOPPY SECONDS - Endless bummer LP/CD 9.90/11.50 EUR

PUNK. Although SLOPPY SECONDS came into being as a result of a wild party thrown by a few drunken friends in the mid-1980s, the band has nonetheless managed to bring the spirit of old school pop-punk into the new millennium with astounding resilience. The debut performance was a clear indication that the band was ready and willing to do whatever was necessary; while drummer Steve Sloppy and bassist Bo'ba Jam were forced to beg and borrow instruments at the outset, singer B.A. began screaming into the microphone simply because he was the only one who could remember the words to the songs. It wasn't pretty, but it was pretty loud, and they figured that if the volume was there, they could probably fake the rest. Apparently, they pulled it off, issuing tHE fIRST sEVEN iNCHES EP in 1987 to rave reviews. But that, as it turned out, was just the beginning. When the band unleashed the 16-track Destroyed album on an unsuspecting public in late 1989, the junk rock gospel truly'began to spread throughout the country and the world. Gigs, reviews, singles, compilation tracks, interviews, and several more full-length CDs followed. Having completed several tours of the US and Europe, as well as hosting the Midwest punk fest “Sloppypalooza” for three consecutive years, SLOPPY SECONDS next sought to commit a new set of songs to disc. More Trouble Than They're Worth was the result, containing more than its share of trash classics followed by Garbage Days Regurgitated, a well-received covers set, complete with a wickedly accurate parody of METALLICA'S album art. The group moves into 2008 revitalized with the release of "Endless bummer", an 18-track manifesto to add to the junk rock canon. The disc's title might suggest a depressing theme in the hands of a less inspired band, but SLOPPY SECONDS promise to make it a fitting new chapter in the story of that never-ending party they started on summer night years ago! (2008/KID TESTED)

-----------------------------------------------------------
STA$D400 / ELEKTROKILL - Split CD 7.90 EUR

ELECTROCLASH. Did you ever wonder what grindcore-drummers do in their sparetime? There's no way they can spent it in the rehearsalroom, too. They rather sit in front of their computers and create some pretty sick yet catchy electrosound. Simply check out this legendary release from the drummers Sven of WORLD DOWNFALL and Christ of JAPANISCHE KAMPFHÖRSPIELE with their electroprojetcs. (2008/BASKAT)

-----------------------------------------------------------
STATUES - Terminal bedroom CD 7.90 EUR

Conceived and collected by Scott Hull (PIG DESTROYER, AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED), THIS COMP KILLS FASCISTS brings together the very best of today’s underground grindcore, hardcore, and power violence bands. WAR OF AGES - Arise and conquer CD 10.90 EUR

METALCORE. After performing over 500 shows in the past 2 years and building their debut album "Pride olf the wicked" from the ground up, WAR OF AGES teamed up with AS I LAY DYING’s Tim Lambesis to produce their highly anticipated follow up album "Arise and conquer". The result is an album finely crafted of 11 tracks that blur the lines between hardcore and metal much like the bands they have toured alongside (SOILWORK, THROWDOWN, BLEEDING THROUGH, TERROR and ALL SHALL PERISH). "Arise and conquer" can clearly be seen as a testimony to the band’s endurance, work ethic and arrival both lyrically and musically.
(2008/FACEDOWN)
