Traurig aber wahr. Nach 6 Jahren RAW EDGE gibt es nun den großen Cut in der Geschichte der Band. Ferdinand (Git./Voc.) wird RAW EDGE verlassen und bei FALL OF SERENITY als neuer Gitarrist einsteigen.
Hier nun ein Statement der Band:
Wir sind alle gerade maßlos enttäuscht über Ferdinands mehr als überraschende Entscheidung zu diesem Zeitpunkt und es fällt uns schwer seinen Schritt zu verstehen. Dennoch müssen wir einen Weg finden, damit umzugehen. Wir haben uns immer neue Ziele gesteckt und diese auch bisher Schritt für Schritt erreicht - soll das nun das Ende eines großen Traumes sein? Für uns war die Band schon seit langer Zeit mehr als nur eine Freizeitbeschäftigung und die Freundschaft zwischen den Mitgliedern, hat uns immer wieder neue Kraft gegeben, damit wir auf der Leiter eine Stufe höher klettern konnten. Im Moment können wir euch leider noch nicht sagen, wie es mit der Band weiter gehen wird und ob wir jemanden finden werden, der die Lücke schließen kann die Ferdinand hinterlässt.
Wir möchten jedoch allen Leuten danken, die immer an uns geglaubt und uns unterstützt haben und dies auch weiter tun. Jeden jetzt einzeln aufzuzählen, würde wahrscheinlich den Rahmen sprengen, aber wir denken, dass sich die richtigen Leute angesprochen fühlen werden. Einen speziellen Dank möchten wir auch an die ehemaligen Bandmitglieder Haggi und Pfanne richten.
Nun könnt ihr noch 2 brandneue Songs im Internet downloaden, die wir vor zwei Wochen im Rape of Harmonies Studio aufgenommen haben. Wir sind sehr stolz auf das Ergebnis und hoffen, dass ihr am 25.12.06 nach Eisenach kommt.
Das wird das vorerst letzte Konzert von RAW EDGE sein.

We all are totally disappointed at this moment of Ferdinands decision. It came all of a sudden and we can hardly understand it. For all that we have to find a way to cope with that situation. We´ve always set up new goals and achieved them by working hard all the time. Is this the end of that big dream we had? This band has been a lot more than just a spare time job and the friendship between us gave us the power to climb up step by step.
At this moment we can´t tell what the future of RAW EDGE will look like and if we find someone to fill the gap Ferdinand will leave.
We want to thank everyone of you who always believed in us, who supported us and continue to do so. We can’t list everyone here but you know who you are! Special thanks goes out to the past members Haggi and Pfanne.
We put two new songs online. You can listen to them and download them at myspace.com/rawedge. We recorded those two songs at the Rape Of Harmonies studio two weeks ago. We are very proud of the result and hope to see you in Eisenach December, 25th.
