MELT BANANA snake song 5“ (hg fact - JAPANESE IMPORT – no export to
japan – melt banana provide the world with a brand new 5” record! Present
on the a side is a new song entitled “snake song”. The b side is a
cover of “love song” by the damned.) 8.50

BORN DEAD / PELIGRO SOCIAL - SPLIT 7" (alerat antifascista - Two of the
bay areas best punk bands. Oakland's Born/Dead continue on with their
well known brand of Christ on Parade//Aus Rotten style political
hardcore punk, this time w/ a sick build up into full bore rager and when
Wyatt and Willdog scream, the kids will lose their shit. Peligro Social
from SF make their vinyl debut and introduce their own style of classic
spanish punk. Melodic punk riffs mixed with a bit of rock n roll wank
(think Gn'Fn'R) topped with snotty spanish vocals, fucking ripps.
(ex-Cropknox) Packaged in a pocket gatefold 7" sleeve with a 12 page booklet,
this is top notch.) 3.50
BOUNCING SOULS / ZERO ZERO split 7" (chunksaw - The original recordings
of two long-time Bouncing Souls favorites ("Quik Check Girl" and "Born
to Lose"), along with the first release from some former members of
Lifetime and Johnny X & The Conspiracy.) 5.00
FLYING WORKER same 7“ (destructure - we got some copies of their OOP
debut 7" back in stock - For those not yet familiar, be warned. The
Flying Worker are a pure definition of discord. A commotion of manic
guitars, demonic drumming, and bellowed vocals comparable to bands like
Orchid, Reversal of Man, and Heroin.) 3.50
HARVEY MILK/ HAYRIDE f*ck you too split 7“ (superflous records - "Hell
Toupee" is classic Harvey Milk, clocking in at just under 6 minutes and
recorded at home in the early 90's. "In Bottles" comes from Hayride's
final recording session with former drummer Ballard Lesseman. This
record marks the first split release by these bands since 1992's Pals
Forever.) 7.00
The Knifeswitch - Its a beast Its... for the band 7" (yosoda - On
this, their second record, Boise, Idaho’s very own The Knifeswitch offers
up a delicious four-course meal of fresh hardcore. Their sounds range
anywhere from late-nineties screamo, ala yaphet kotto, too more straight
up hardcore/punk, but don't think It will be that easy to pin down this
record. The knifeswitch bring more to the table than this description
gives justice. While drawing from these aforementioned influences, these
guys have managed to pull off a unique sound all their own. With
beautiful hand-screened covers and white vinyl, this record assures you that
is isn't just ear candy, it's eye candy too - The Knifeswitch offers up
a delicious four-course meal of fresh hardcore. Their sounds range
anywhere from late-nineties screamo, ala YAPHET KOTTO, to more straight up
hardcore/punk, but don't think It will be that easy to pin down this
record. The Knifes.. (the label)) 4.00
The Pope - Live Aids 7" (yosoda - The Pope is a two man bass/drum rock
unit from LA who just so happen to lay down thick, riff-laden noise
rock. And while comparisons with the likes of Godheadsilo, Lightning bolt
& Unwound have been made, we here at Yosada think that's only just
beginning to scratch the surface. Here The Pope offers up three loud,
chaotic tracks without losing a total sense of melody. First they hit you
with two short burst of pure liquid adrenalin, then they crush you with
their five-minute opus "Aztec Pride". All in all, one of our most solid
releases. 300 Pressed - One Side White, One Side Green) 4.00
RENDER USELESS The Relationship Between a 1/4 Note and... 7" (mountain
- "For Render Useless, emo hasn't died with bands like Policy of 3,
Current, Indian Summer, etc. They are actually desperate to give you their
fare share. Render Useless digs up bones from the past that some may
think are already too tired like all the bands aforementioned, but they
give it a zip, a catchy happy zip, even for those that couldn't care
less to hear some of the oldies but goodies. Recharged, solid, hectic, and
powerful numbers. From Victoria, B.C., Render Useless also keeps that
Canadian flowing edge like Breakwater or a more simplified version of
Republic of Freedon Fighters. 4 songs to catch on the grooviest and
catchiest emotive train around. How would I say awesome up in Canada - damn
wicked." - Heartattack #17) 4.00
SO BE IT „wrath of the ... „ 7“ (deathwish - So Be It are a brutal new
hardcore band featuring members of Boston stalwarts Think I Care and R
N' R. So Be It bring to mind the early years of hardcore legends
Integrity, Ringworm, and even Damnation AD. Fusing a bare bones metallic
heaviness with a sense of hardcore and punk urgency. No solos, no
commercial accessibility, just brutal, hate filled hardcore. Destined to be the
soundtrack to trend killers and hardcore kids worldwide.
SOCIAL CIRCKLE static eyes 7“ (noway records - This is Massachusetts
quartet Social Circkle's debut on vinyl after a self-released demo. This
EP has 4 songs of catchy old style punk/HC reminiscent of early
California punk like Black Flag and Angry Samoans with a tinge of early UK
punk.) 4.50
TRAP THEM same 7“ (trash art - Trap Them, formerly known as 77+K7,
began a long time ago, as a side project for two friends who were involved
in notably different extreme bands. Founding members Brian Izzi of
Earache recording artists December Wolves, and Ryan McKenney, former
frontman for Backstabbers Inc, needed another outlet. This limited vinyl EP
will be exquisitely wrapped in 2-color silkscreened covers featuring
artwork by Justin Bartlett, known for his recent work with black/death
metal band Cadaver.) 5.00

LA QUIETE la fine non è la fine 10" (React w/ protest - REPRESSED AND
BACK IN STOCK!! a new 10" by these dudes from italy, contains
everything from blast-beats to rock-out parts, from hectic dissonant passages to
melancholic moments with acoustic guitar, screaming, emotions, melodies

picture disc 10” feature all of the early out of print 7"s. For those who
love song of zarathustra as well as the swing kids and the blood
brothers. A blend of angry yet intelligent hardcore delivered with clever
lyrics, searing melodies, and a cannon-like drum machine. This nine song

AKIMBO city of stars LP (paranoid - Third album from Seattle rock
steamroller AKIMBO. Originally released on Seventh Rule on CD in 2004. Now
available on vinyl. Nine thundering tracks that mix classic rock,
hardcore, metal, and progressive punk flavors with melodically versatile
riffs and beautifully abrasive vocals.) 11.00
Aids Wolf Vs Athletic AutomatonClash Of The Life Force ... LP (skin
graft - In the wake of their respective debut albums, Providence's
ATHLETIC AUTOMATON and MontrealÕs AIDS WOLF came face to face; stripped bare
of armor, draped in amour, wielding weapons of choice. With the battle
lines drawn, each band tallied forcefully, committing individual tracks
to tape. But as the war waged on, members defected from side to side,
new alliances were formed and hard lines blurred. What emerged from the
battlefield was an entirely new entity: bloodied, unbowed, and
undefeated.
Recorded by Radwan Moumneh at One Hundred Sided Die in Montreal and
Patrick Crump in Lincoln, Rhode Island, Skin Graft Records presents "Clash
of the Life-Force Warriors" on dueling formats: as a compact disc and a
gatefold-sleeved vinyl LP. Athletic Automaton is guitarist Stephen
Mattos, formerly of Arab on Radar; and drummer Patrick Crump, Pellum 123
expatriate. Aids Wolf is concussionist Hiroshima Thunder, and singer
Special Deluxe, paired with guitarists Barbarian Destroyer and Him, The
Magi. Aids Wolf Versus Athletic Automaton is all of the above: legion,
two-in-one, long-haired on free stages... and the dawn of a new age, a
crystalline declaration of independence for an uncivilized world.) 15.50
CLOUDLAND CANYON - REQUIEMS DER NATUR 2002-2004 GATEFOLD LP (tee pee -
Brooklyn guitarist Kip Uhlhorn and German multi-instrumentalist Simon
Wojan first met in 2002 when Uhlhorn was touring Europe. Requiems Der
Natur 2002-2004 combines the guitarist's rock stance with Wojan's more
electronically inclined leanings. Other hands were invited to leave their
mark on the project and the tapes were further treated by the duo
before being finally let loose. The pleasing result is a stunning
neo-psychedelic experience where the musical spirits of This Heat, Ash Ra Tempel,
and The Mahavisnu Orchestra are evoked, celebrated and absorbed inside
Uhlhorn and Wojan's shifting cloud formations of sound." review from
the wire) 14.00
CRIME San Franciscos still doomed LP (swami - One of the most
artistically significant and visually subversive bands in the rock n roll
universe was CRIME. Having released the first independent punk record on the
West Coast in 1976 they immediately set a precedent as one of the
loosest, most raw, uncompromising and confrontational bands of all time.
Dubbing themselves "San Francisco's first and only Rock N Roll band" only
added to an already bubbling alienation from the punk scene at that
time. They were simply too wild to contain, too stylized to ignore, and
musically too violent for the faint of heart. Fashioned in full SFPD
regalia and armed with amphetamine induced, crude blues riffs they created
a scathing noise that remains unmatched to this day. Swami is proud to
announce the release of San Francisco's STILL Doomed. San Francisco's
STILL Doomed is a reissue of their classic San Francisco's Doomed record
with two unreleased bonus tracks (alternate takes of Hot Wire My Heart
and You're So Repulsive), never seen before photos, updated liner notes
and better mastering. Both bonus tracks are taken from the same session
that produced the first CRIME single. Hot Wire My Heart was covered by
Sonic Youth on their Sister album. Now, San Francisco's STILL Doomed
fills in the gaps even more and serves as an excellent place to start for
the uninitiated and an essential installment for those who already
regard CRIME as one of the best rock n roll bands of all time.) 12.00
ED GEIN It's a Shame... + 3 songs (Gatefold) LP (shock value - Ed
Gein’s 'It’s A Shame…' EP and out of print demo compiled onto one Deluxe
Gatefold LP. Totaling at 12 songs (including a Nirvana cover), Ed Gein is
fast, feral, and furious as fuck. Total insanity and
politically/socially fueled lyrics accompanied by a mix of tech-metal, grindcore, and
metalcore.) 11.50
FEAR FALLS BURNING "i'm one of those monsters numb..." LP (equation
recordings - Full-length LP pressed on the highest-quality 180g virgin
vinyl. This lp features two long and glorious guitar pieces by this master
of tonal ambience and soundscape crafting. Best played LOUD for maximum
effect. Drift away into the nether-world with analogue grace. The
record is packaged in a beautiful gatefold sleeve with printed inner bag.
Only 399 copies were pressed.) 22.50
FUCKED UP year of the dog LP (blocks recording - Hot on the heels of
their debut full-length, Toronto's kings of punk Fucked Up return with
this two-song 12" EP that features the unreleased "Year Of The Dog" on
the A-side and a remix of the old classic "Last Man Standing" on the
B-side.) 13.50
GET RAD Say Fuck No To Rules, Man LP (hyperrealist - With members of
Since By Man, Seven Days Of Samsara, High On Crime and Kung Fu Rick,
these Milwaukee boys have shed the influences of their other projects and
recorded an album of 21 songs of '80s inspired hardcore. The lyrics
tackle such issues as BMX riding, friendship, water parks, and puppies,
with the music being akin to that of Minor Threat and Strike Anywhere with
the screamed vocals of 9 Shocks Terror.) 11.00
HALO PERFECTO hospitals in other countries LP (mountain - The band
existed to write this record. This is all their songs. To avoid
pretension, let’s just say this: it’s good music. Not in the sense of any one
person preferring these songs over other songs, but in the more
qualitative sense of good. Well articulated and well performed. Not, however,
overstated, perverse, ostentatious or discommodious. As for the sounds
you’ll hear upon putting the needle to the record, you know it’s rock
music. The words "punch" and "warmth" were wholly absent from the recording
process. Members did time in former hardcore-punk outfits such as Anton
Bordman and Palatka, if that helps. Multicolor silk-screened covers
round out this stellar release.) 11.00
HAVE HEART the things we carry LP (bridge nine - This is the debut full
length "The Things We Carry" from Massachusetts' most sincere Have
Heart. From the mecca of hardcore, Boston, comes 11 unrelenting songs full
of substance not found in today's scene. From three long years of hard
work and dedication comes the product of their heart and soul,
combining the early influences of Chain Of Strength and Turning Point with
later great acts like Mouthpiece and Inside Out. With the production of
master Jim Siegel (Dropkick Murphys, Guns Up!, Blacklisted) the massive
sound and fury of Have Heart was perfectly captured in 27 minutes of pure
energy. Unable to stop until their message is heard by everyone, Have
Heart can be found playing their unique mixture of old and modern
hardcore with legendary bands such as Bane, Righteous Jams and Bold. Do not
miss out on the passionate production found in "The Things We Carry."
Now available on colored vinyl with a gatefold cover!) 13.00
I LOVE YOU BUT I'VE CHOSEN DARKNESS S/T 12" (secretly canadian -
Produced in summer 2003 by Britt Daniel of Spoon, I Love You But I've Chosen
Darkness' eponymous debut perfectly captures the band's strong
pop-sensibility also found on their debut long-player Fear Is On Our Side from
earlier this year. Included among the EP's five tracks is the live
favorite and venerable set closer "Your Worst Is Your Best" which features
dueling vocals over a chiming rhodes and epic guitar lines. ) 10.50
Les Georges Leningrad - Sangue Puro (Gatefold) LP (This is the CANADIAN
version of their new album. "Sangue Puro" is the third release of this
Montreal trio. The sepulchral vibes and juvenile fury emanating from
the guitar and keyboards will make you dance for yourself in front of the
mirror. The ancient vessels explode and sink under the pressure of the
killer rhythms.
Les Georges Leningrad is a love and hate story: the one of Bobo Boutin,
Mingo L’Indien and Poney P. They met in the year 2000 during a fight in
an Ontario street tavern: la terrasse Bellehumeur. Bobo was at the time
a bohemian singer, Mingo a contemporary music student at University of
Montreal. Poney was writing hundreds of songs in a big schoolbook while
dreaming of sharing the stage with the greatests: Plume, Sun Ra and
Felix Kubin.) 17.50
LIFE AT THESE SPEEDS to your health LP (level plane - From the label:
Life At These Speeds explode with hope. Their songs are frantic,
careening slashes of resistance against the tumult and panic of this world.
There's desperation in their voices, as if this were a final act of
accusation against power; but at the same time a soaring, chiming, sandpaper
beauty promises that there's more to life than damnation. The
intertwined guitars leap and cut at each other; the stuttering drums and their
embracing rhythms; the solid, binding bass notes; the passionate vocals
- but that's not what makes it. It's a deeper thing, a shared heart and
an unabashed love of creation that makes "To Your Health" a record that
will save lives. Now available on vinyl!) 11.50
LIFE LONG TRAGEDY Destined For Anything LP (blessing ... This new band
from Northern California plays a unique brand of tough yet melodic
hardcore. Eleven songs of friendship, hope, and searching for destiny in a
world that pushes back at every step. For fans of Terror, Unbroken, and
Modern Life is War.) 11.50
LOST PATROL BAND „same“ LP (wasted sounds) LPB is a power pop band from
Ume, Sweden. The music is influenced by Buzzcocks, Elvis Costello and
The Ramones. Three accord punkrock with songs about love. One of the
better poppunk album from Sweden in years. Members from The International
Noise Conspiracy, Refused, Randy, DS13, Tristess, Vicious, Dead Ones
and Perishers.") 10.00
MARITIME We, The Vehicles LP (foreign leisure - Numbered, limited
edition of 1000 copies all on lovely sky blue vinyl - and there's two
non-CD, vinyl-only, bonus tracks! This will be available in advance of the CD
issue on Flameshovel, BTW - let's get those numbers in ASAP 'cuz these
won't last long (MARITIME having ex-PROMISE RING folks and all) 12.50
MONOCHROME eclat LP (paranoid - There was a time when the band we know
today as Monochrome went under the name of Dawnbreed. They were a
hardcore band that began to work different musical elements into their
sound. Pop, indie, noise....you can hear it all in the six singles and two
LPs that they released between the years of 1994 and 2000. With added
female vocalists and a saxophone player it developed into the
“Dawnbreed/Monochrome Collective”, opening doors for them musically without
forfeiting an ounce of their live qualities. Energetic, almost brutal
guitar-pop that couldn’t be topped in intensity, combined with the best that
punk and hardcore had to offer: that was the mixture that nobody could
resist.) 12.50
PELICAN march into the sea LP (hydra head - All the reasons that make
Pelican great, and a forerunner in the instru-metal scene, are evident
on this EP opus containing two tracks clocking in at nearly 40 minutes.
The track "March Into The Sea" will appear on the upcoming full-length.
This ep features a deluxe, expanded 20-minute version. "Angel Tears",
originally on “Australasia”, gets a remix treatment by Justin Broadrick
(Jesu, Godflesh). "Both beautiful and awe-inspiring"--Magnet.
"(Pelican) are doing for metal what Copernicus did for astronomy"--Alternative
Press. This is a limited pressing w/ screenprinted covers on colored
vinyl – just a handful) 18.00
PLANES MISTAKEN FOR STARS mercy LP (abacus - The story of Planes
Mistaken For Stars begins within the confines of a paltry Midwestern town in
Illinois called Peoria. Peoria, only hours away from big city living in
Chicago, was culture starved and nothing like the northern city by the
lake. It was this very atmosphere that fueled the raw, somber and
fervent songs that Planes Mistaken For Stars would ultimately become so well
known for. Formerly on the emo lighthouse Deep Elm and then landing on
the fiercely independent No Idea, Planes Mistaken For Stars have come a
long way since those early days as they are now on the cusp of
releasing their Abacus debut "Mercy". The band has toured the world with the
likes of Dillinger Escape Plan, Against Me!, Cursive and others. The
band's appeal crosses genre divides, often shows have as many metal heads
and hardcore fans as emo fans requesting material from early in the
band's career. Produced by Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Minus The Bear, etc.),
"Mercy" is another step forward in the progression of a band who
challenges themselves along the path of life. Look for the band on tour all of
2006 and beyond!) 11.50
PHARAOH OVERLORD 4 LP (conspiracy - Circle members Lehtisalo,
Westerlund and Leppänen formed this art-damaged, ambient stoner-rock project in
2000. Pharaoh Overlord are Finland’s finest retro-metal activists and
this, clearly, is their 4th record. For #4, they've replaced their '70s
sludge riffs with '80s metal mojo, all while maintaining their vintage
Kraut-prog cool. By the first 30 seconds of album opener ‘Now We Know’
you’ll know what to expect – riffage of the highest order. Chugging
like a freight train full of weighty steel over a rickety bridge! The LP
is limited to 270 copies, mailorder only.) 19.50
POOSTEW "struggle" LP (shove - poostew’s first full length delivers
fifteen tracks of straight forward grindcore sound mixed with melodic
guitar sounds and heavy chugga breakdowns. This record was produced by the
infamous dirk kusche (mörser, systral, absidia). The full length is
extremely heavy and contains everything from blastbeats to midtempo driven
melodies. All layout work was done by szandor kubassa (legacy zine, ox
zine, as we fight) and the lyrics mostly deal with politics, abuse of
power and personal views on grievances in society.) 9.50
TEETH OF THE HYDRA greenland LP (tee pee - The sophomore album from
this Columbus, Ohio-based group featuring former members of THREE STUDIES
FOR A CRUCIFIXION, PARTY OF HELICOPTERS, and HARRIET THE SPY. Eight
tracks of leaden rock fury, driven with molten lava bass sludge,
frost-bitten riffs, and bestial drum battering. For fans of Melvins, Spirit Of
Caravan, High On Fire, Thrones, and Keelhaul.) 15.50
TIM HECKER Harmony in ultraviolet LP (conspiracy - The last LP in our
anniversary series, available now in an edition of 270. Harmony in
Ultraviolet is Tim Hecker's sixth album. It is a continuation of Hecker's
interest in spectral communications, noise, impressionist musics,
thresholds of listening pleasure/pain, and the limits of digital composition.
This album is a significant development of his song-craft, challenging
the usefulness of descriptors such as ambient, drone, metal, noise and
even electronic music. If references are necessary it could be
described as a sonata for the elements, songs of crackling embers, tidal pools,
spruce skylines and autumn winds. Gerhard Richter's abstract paintings
are also a fair orientation. Materially speaking, it is a record of
whirring drones, whispering fissures, dense disintegrating chords,
late-night noise and truth-telling harmonics. Yet this record follows no
overarching process, no underlying narrative. It is both a homage for the
Italian partigiani and also not at all. It is songs about ghost writing
and midnight whispers but then again it isn't. In many ways this album
can be viewed as a work of total destruction, embracing indeterminacy as
an aesthetic ideal.) 19.50
V/A Decide on Change LP (mountain - Mountain is pleased to announce the
release of our latest benefit compilation: The DECIDE ON CHANGE LP.
This record will raise money for the NYC More Gardens Coalition, who work
to preserve endanged public green space. It features 20 tracks from 12
great hardcore punk rock bands from around the world. The booklet has
info on all the bands, the More Gardens Coalition, and some words about
the idea of public space activism.
"Think of this as the follow-up to last year's Histeria comp, as far as
quality goes. Featuring some of the best hardcore bands from recent
times (STRAIGHT TO HELL, TOTALITAR, BALANCE OF TERROR, LAST SECURITY,
VUUR, SCHOLASTIC DETH, plus seven others) coming together, thanks to the
fine folx from the Mountain Records Collective, to support the NYC More
Gardens Coalition. But in addition to being an amazing sonic experience,
this record also contains some inspiring writing concerning the history
of More Gardens Coalition and using it as a springboard to discuss the
taking back control of the world around you, and in specific, your
city. Public space is ours, take it back. Fucking great compilation. " -
Mike Thorn, Maximumrocknroll fanzine.) 10.00
V/A CAN`T LIVE WITOUT IT comp LP (mountain - "HOLY SHIT! This is what a
compilation should be like. Very reminiscent of early Ebullition
releases. It excites me to see a compilation with a purpose! This compilation
is raising funds to encourage the abolition of the death penalty
worldwide. An incredible booklet (similar to the Give Me Back compilation or
the Downcast LP) with tons of information (footnotes to boot) and
suggestions on ways to do your part and get involved. As for the music (who
really cares at this point), there are a few standouts in my opinion.
Botch really tears shit up with an incredible song. Milhouse and
In/humanity also contribute good songs. Other featured bands are Merrimac,
Amber Inn, Closure, Guyver-One, Breakwater, Slow Side Down, Bor,
Perilisium Cantos and Curll. Lest I forget the magnificent cover art work?! The
depiction of a direct action stoppage of a public beheading. Genius.
ACTION IS EVERYTHING!! Get this, it deserves your support." Heartattack

THE VICIOUS same LP (wasted sounds - Vicious is the latest of Classic
sounding Swedish bands, finding there insperation in old American
punkrock. We are talking make up and greasy hair and late 70 earlie 80
punkrock made by memebers from Tristess, Regulations, Cult of Luna and ex
members from DS13 and International Noise Consperacy.") 10.00
WALKMEN, the „a hundred miles off“ LP (record collection - The Walkmen
have been solidifying their position as one of the most important bands
in the alternative music community with their previous releases,
"Everyone Who Pretended To Like Me Is Gone" and "Bows And Arrows". Extensive
touring, media prominence, critical acclaim, national modern rock radio
airplay, and TV performances have helped establish the band in the
music community. "A Hundred Miles Off" is their most solid effort yet.
"Dylan meets Joy Division" - Uncut. "The dramatic epic sweep, the urgent,
chiming guitars, the upright snap of the drums - it's all here" - Bust.)

WOLF EYES / GREY DATURAS The black plague split LP (conspiracy -
Originally released on CD by Heathen Skulls in Australia, this is the vinyl
edition limited to a mere 270 copies. Both sides of the Split 12" give
fans of both bands a rare opportunity to hear the harsh diversity of
their polar opposite, take on modern noise. Though both bands couldn't be
any more different, there seems to be an underlying similarity between
the two. It's as if they're speaking the same language, but just
communicating different ideas. Wolf Eyes present the five-part "Post
Civilization Muzak" an excellent series of fully-destroyed fuzz/drum barrages
that feels like the apex of their post-Burned Mind nailed-to-the-sky
form while Daturas are on more elegiac, bliss-fixated form, with thin
smears of fuzz guitar stretched to horizon-spanning epics. It is difficult
to categorise the sound of Grey Daturas from Melbourne, Australia,
however, they are best described as an improvisational, instrumental,
noise-rock trio. Since their earliest shows in 2001 the band has been
celebrated as one of the loudest and most uncompromising live acts in their
homeland. As for influences, they couldn't be any more varied and
include The Stooges, Earth, John Coltrane, Cluster, John Cage, Darkthrone and

WORMWOOD sounds like nothing else happening right now, yet subtle comparisons
can be made with bands like KYLESA, NEUROSIS, TARANTULA HAWK, even
SKEPTICISM. Elements of doom, crust, goth, metal and prog all swirl
together into one horrible nightmare soundtrack. Recorded at the bands home
studio in Seattle with the assistance of Billy Anderson, WORMWOOD
features no guitars, but rather two basses, percussion, keyboards and
samplers. WORMWOOD has previously released a full length as well as several

COFFIN DANCER pax romana CD (denovali – this is the first press. Just
100 got pressed. 1st press - For those unfamiliar with the latest wave
of post-rock doom metal, here's a quick debriefing: Imagine slowed-down
Black Sabbath riffs with all the drama of an orchestra, more power than
melody, and completely drenched in tube-driven thickness. It's in this
realm that South Florida's Coffin Dancer sounds off, adding its 2 cents
to this trend on the CD EP Pax Romana.
The disc starts out with the psychedelic swirl of "Revolt of the
Proletariat," a meandering instrumental piece that slowly builds around
delayed, stripped-down, clean-tone guitars, into a twisting mélange of
rhythmic undulations and heavy distortion. David Lopez, formerly of Laramie
Dean's Surf Punk Machine, makes his vocal entrance on "Another March to
Cavalry," a slow burner that wends its way through atmospheric
ascensions and pit-of-the-belly screams, leading the listener to the finale,
"Auto da fe," a nearly 13-minute affair, chock-full with scraping
strings; guttural pleadings; quiet, barely there moments; and tribal
tom-rolling, courtesy of drummer Nicky Cedeno. In line with this
collector-driven genre, the album is beautifully packaged in a hand-silk-screened
cardboard box with a like-minded insert. Fans of Isis would do well to
check out this latest addition to South Florida's burgeoning metal scene.

NO TURNING BACK holding on CD (bridge nine - "After being together for
nearly a decade, No Turning Back is a rare band that has been able to
take humble European beginnings to worldwide notoriety. After releasing
the EP 'Rise From The Ashes' on Bridge Nine Records out of Boston, No
Turning Back is once again teaming up with Bridge Nine for 'Holding On,'
their third full-length release and first American-released LP. Mixing
their early New York hardcore influences with lyrics that are angry,
hopeful, and universal, No Turning Back has developed a reputation as an
energetic and moving live band. They have been able to share that
energy with thousands as No Turning Back has toured the world, sharing
international and American roads with Champion, Betrayed, and Internal

BOOKS/ FANZINE
McNinch, Carrie - "I Want Everything To Be Okay" book (Carrie mcninch,
author of the long-running zine the assassin and the whiner and a
pioneer of the autobiographic comic movement, returns to the genre she
helped create. Tracing a year in her life, I want everything to be ok is a
funny, tender, honest and, ultimately, hopeful story of a woman haunted
by depression and alcoholism as she rebuilds her life from the inside
out. Awesome cover w/ screenprinted cover on thick cardboard. Soo nice)

How would I say awesome up in Canada - damn
wicked." - Heartattack #17) 4.00

hardcore band featuring members of Boston stalwarts Think I Care and R

Integrity, Ringworm, and even Damnation AD. Fusing a bare bones metallic
heaviness with a sense of hardcore and punk urgency. No solos, no
commercial accessibility, just brutal, hate filled hardcore. Destined to be the
soundtrack to trend killers and hardcore kids worldwide.
SOCIAL CIRCKLE static eyes 7“ (noway records - This is Massachusetts

frontman for Backstabbers Inc, needed another outlet. This limited vinyl EP

Now, San Francisco's STILL Doomed
fills in the gaps even more and serves as an excellent place to start for
the uninitiated and an essential installment for those who already
regard CRIME as one of the best rock n roll bands of all time.) 12.00

metalcore.) 11.50

Modern Life is War.) 11.50
LOST PATROL BAND „same“ LP (wasted sounds) LPB is a power pop band from

Get this, it deserves your support." Heartattack

members from DS13 and International Noise Consperacy.") 10.00

SKEPTICISM. Elements of doom, crust, goth, metal and prog all swirl
together into one horrible nightmare soundtrack. Recorded at the bands home
studio in Seattle with the assistance of Billy Anderson, WORMWOOD
features no guitars, but rather two basses, percussion, keyboards and
samplers. WORMWOOD has previously released a full length as well as several
split EPs with bands like FALL OF THE BASTARDS, THE ESOTERIC and TEEN

ISIS In The Absence Of Truth CD (ipecac - Following up 2004's wildly
successful "Panopticon" and touring with Tool in 2006, Isis continue to
evolve as a band with their own form of arty metal that has gone from
sludgy and heavy to a more mellow, atmospheric sound while retaining
their integrity and underground status.) 15.50
Affairs in the process. 'Holding On' is the culmination of that experience
as a band." - From the label.) 12.50

McNinch, Carrie - "I Want Everything To Be Okay" book (Carrie mcninch,
author of the long-running zine the assassin and the whiner and a
pioneer of the autobiographic comic movement, returns to the genre she

funny, tender, honest and, ultimately, hopeful story of a woman haunted
by depression and alcoholism as she rebuilds her life from the inside
out. Awesome cover w/ screenprinted cover on thick cardboard. Soo nice)
