AT HALF MAST - split 7"EPs

Hey!

On 25th of April (that's in 3 days) we're releasing two split 7"EPs (the covers are already here and the vinyl is on its way - in fact, we waited until we knew the certain date, so there's no delays or such). And what amazing EPs they are. Find more about them and all the limited editions here below.


VALUES INTACT / AT HALF-MAST - split 7" EP
This split is peculiar for several reasons. First of all, and this is sad, sad news, this 7" is the last ever release for VALUES INTACT. The 3 songs on this 7" are the last songs they ever recorded and the band is no more. You can find more details on their page, along with one of the songs from this 7": http://www.myspace.com/valuesxintact Needless to say, this saddens us all at Goodwill, but the rumors is that they're starting a new band so there's something to be on the lookout for. VALUES INTACT released their sophomore album "Dear Hometown" with us that is to many their best release ever. Their fast, angry, furious and heartfelt HC pushed them to become one of the most popular Italian HC acts in a very short time span. They toured a lot and brought their own, authentic version of modern HardCore all across the continent. Their music recalls bands like Give Up The Ghost, Carry On, Count Me Out and such, although they've defined their own style in the 5 years they've been around. Veterans by all means (except by their dates of births) Values Intact offer here their most mature material so far. This is their swan song and the 3 tracks on this EP remind us how amazing this band was.
Another reason why this 7" is peculiar is because it comes out in time for the AT HALF-MAST European tour. They are going to tour Europe all through June, from north to south, passing through Sweden, Norway, Germany, Lichtenstein and Italy. We're organizing a release date in Rome on the 20th of June, so don't miss them out. On a couple of dates they're playing with another GOODWILL band - SIGNS OF HOPE, and those are the shows that shouldn't be missed if you like oldschool HardCore. AT HALF-MAST deliver more of their screaming, powerful HC that has established their debut album on GOODWILL records as the best debut album we've ever released. Fast / slow modern HardCore that mixes both Oldschool and Newschool influences, resulting into a powerful combination of sounds along the lines of Comeback Kid, Shai Hulud and Champion. Incredibly mature and complex, yet full of youthful energy (they average on 18 years of age) At Half-Mast never cease to surprise with their long, well elaborated songs whose every single second captures your attention. AT HALF-MAST / TO THE EMBERS - split 7" EP
At first this was supposed to be a split 7" with Portuguese No Good Reason, but they decided not to do it, so instead we have Italian hopes To The Embers.
This split EP forms a continuity with the other split. The two records are linked together by a story that is illustrated on their covers. Basically, there will be a set of 4 split 7" records (the first two being the records mentioned here) that all have covers drawn by 4 different international artists. The 4 covers together compose a story that should be read from the first 7" to the last one. The first two covers belong to the two forementioned split EPs. The next two will come out in the second half of the year and will show the rest. The above mentioned covers were drawn by Ed ( http://www.inked.it ) from Italy and Pete Pee ( http://www.peerecords.com ) from Australia. It's a story of activism and courage. At Half-Mast never stop to amaze us with their incredible songwriting style. Here they offer complex song structures, screaming vocal style, cutting guitars and heavy, pounding drumming. TO THE EMBERS are a new hope of Italian HardCore. They manage to tuck in 3 songs in a little over 7 minutes, showing all the talent of this amazing band. Their abrasive fast/slow HardCore that both draws influences from the distant (Chain Of Strength, Battery) as well as recent past (Shai Hulud, Champion, American Nightmare, Stay Gold) clearly establishes them as one of the most promising bands in Italy today. The minimum order is 2 copies (you can however combine either the two 7"s or the different versions as you please) and the postage for 2 copies is 3 euros in Europe or 8 dollars postpaid elsewhere for 2 copies altogether. This postage covers up to 3 EPs. If you're ordering 4 EPs or more, the postage for 4 to 12 copies is 6 euros in Europe or 14 dollars elsewhere. The repress will be on black vinyl, so both versions are actually very limited.
