METAL. Formed itself in 2001 from the ashes of ARIA (US), WINTER SOLSTICE, STRONGHOLD, DAYLIGHT TRAGEDY, SPLITCAST. Broke up and then reformed in 2005 then broke up again and reformed in 2007. "It's not a party without us" is the first release from an American band for Torque Records and is a showcase of the Southern metal brought by this North Carolina band. (2008/TORQUE)

HARDCORE-PUNK. The fifth LP from Tokyo, Japanese Hardcore legends, GAUZE. Since 1981 GAUZE have played some of the world's most intense hardcore punk and, at this point, might hold the title of the World's greatest continually playing, original 1980's hardcore band. A "Living tradition" of Japanese hardcore that has never mellowed with age, GAUZE have played monthly in Tokyo for 27 years, devoting most of their energy to their live performances. Many of their songs are hammered out at their live shows long before their sporadic recorded releases (their last release was ten years ago!). GAUZE's songs just seem to get FASTER with each record, and the blinding 10 tracks here are no exception. Issued in Japan in late 2007 as a CD-only release, this is one of GAUZE's rawest recording yet and it's first appearance on vinyl. (2008/PRANK)

HARDCORE. Available on vinyl once again, 8 ripping tracks of late '80s NY influenced hardcore that could be mistaken for long lost WARZONE "Don't Forget the Struggle..." outtakes. Originally released as a demo tape in 2004, these songs were then pressed to vinyl twice by two separate labels. PUNK. Vinyl postponed to 08.07.2008. By now, JAY REATARD should be known to most everyone paying any attention to this whole indie/punk/pop/garage/shitgaze/blahblahblah. Former front guy for The REATARDS and LOST SOUNDS and current solo sensation, the man is nothing if not prolific. After recording his debut solo LP, 2006's "Blood visions", Reatard released a slew of singles and EPs on labels across the globe; all were pressed in limited quantities and now fetch serious coin on eBay. In The Red is proud to release ''Singles 06-07'', a collection of all his out-of-print material, re-mastered by the Tard himself. It's finally possible to hear these gems in one straight shot, sounding better than ever, without flipping over a pile of seven inch platters. The CD version of ''Singles 06-07'' includes a DVD showcasing some choice live performances of Reatard and his incredible live backing band, the BOSTON CHINKS. Hailing from Glendale, Arizona, the metal powerhouse known as KNIGHTS OF THE ABYSS forges an onslaught of heavy and intricate riffing while adding a sense of melody uncharacteristic of most bands today. HARDCORE. In 1994 PORTRAITS OF PAST exploded on the ‘90s hardcore scene. In 1995 they broke up. They released a split 7" and an LP of material. 13 years later all that material is together on one CD. The PORTRAITS OF PAST discography includes their LP, their split 7" with BLEED, their track from XXX comp LP/CD, as well as 5 live tracks from 1995. TRAPPED UNDER ICE - Stay cold CD 10.90 EUR

HARDCORE. Hailing from the port city of Baltimore, Maryland comes the war-mammoth known as TRAPPED UNDER ICE, who proudly inherit and build upon the mantle of their predecessors NEXT STEP UP and GUT INSTINCT. Compound this with the sonic territories explored by New York bands such as CROWN OF THORNS and BREAKDOWN, and the intent of the outfit becomes obvious - total aural brutality. Following their inception in 2007, a 5-song demo, which was also released as an EP on Flatspot Records, was quick to follow.
