The first official release for Brooklyn-based, Virginia-natives ANCIENT SKY, the group features current and former members of CITY OF CATERPILLAR, MAJORITY RULE, GHASTLY CITY SLEEP, VERSE EN COMA, and DARKEST HOUR. Largely influenced by classic Psychedelic Rock, the band isn't afraid to visit bizarre and far-out worlds with unique sounds and structures that walk the line between fierce and subtle, and occasionally flirt with epic-ness. An interesting mix of heavy, hypnotic Rock with plenty of hooks and Americana subtleties. This 7-song collection of songs was laid to tape at Brooklyn's Seaside Lounge Studios in March 2009 and was mastered by Paul Gold. PUNK/NOISE. Flipper did their best to inflict maximum pain and suffering, bumming out punk rockers since 1980 with a slow, dissonant drone and contemptuous fuck-you attitude. The classic four-sided concept album ''Public Flipper Limited'' originally came out 1986 on Subterranean, at whose offices the band received ‘Fin Mail’. It provided a great album cover on which to roll joints, up there with the covers of ''We Sold Our Soul For Rock ‘N’ Roll'' and ''Frampton Comes Alive''. The album sleeve takes on John Lydon's and his band PIL who stole FLIPPER'S idea. The music itself is classic Flipper mindfuck. All songs were recorded live between 1981-85 and you find all hits like ''New rules, no rules'', ''Sex bomb'' or ''If I can't be drunk''. GRANDE COBRA - Echoes of rebellion LP 11.50 EUR

PUNKROCK/INDIE. Very very grande are the holes the fangs of this release are gonna leave on your rocking ass. The mixed trio from Down Under proves that true beauty lies only in simplicity, a safely kept recipe that ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT took with them six feet below when the left the building a couple of years ago. Now, this band took the formula out of the vaults and put into a more garagey sound that was captured on tape inside the famous Toe Rag studios in London. Most of the 10 songs on this record, like ''Railway Xing'', ''Paper Cuts'', ''Broken'' or the brilliant ''Hearts in the basement'', really do sound like a more stripped-down version of their San Diego brothers in musical gusto (minus the wind section) and they are all based on one simple, catchy and repetitive guitar line or just one single chord with an impulsive beat under the saddle that open out into a hyper-melodic and explosive chorus that will leave all you shakers out there perfectly happy. Not to speak of the even more melodic and straighter opener ''In a minute'' or the driving ''Doing the bomb'' and ''No brakes'' that serve as the ideal andidote for your good taste that has been venomed by too many lame-ass records. MARVELOUS DARLINGS - The only ones for miles 7'' 4.90 EUR

POP-PUNK. The MARVELOUS DARLINGS from Canada (with guys from bands like CAREER SUICIDE and FUCKED UP - just for the record, ya fools) are about to launch a whole bunch of new 7'' on various European labels. We at P. Trash Records are therefore more than happy to start this year's Summer Offensive with the most sunshiny and poppy of them all. ''The only ones for miles'', with that groovy and sticky guitar and the hint of melancholy in the chorus, has this UNDERTONES undertone and is the best song you can put on on a rainy day during the shitty German summer. The NERVES wrote that songs and their version is even more catchy. ONEIDA - Rated O 3xLP 25.90 EUR

By now, fans of Brooklyn's ONEIDA’s boundless, genre-hopping excursions into hypnotic repetitive noise will know not to expect anything less than the unexpected. This is a 3x LP and it is the second part of the ''Thank your parents'' trilogy. The album shows the band's mind-bending diverseness that ranges from digitally distorted ragga beat, electronic parts that remind of DAFT PUNK before returning to the more familiar territory of blues-y space rock, the kind visited on albums like 2004’s ‘Secret Wars’. And while it may not be a huge movement on the stylistic battlefield, the tracks hold their own in the ONEIDA catalogue, with an encore of two epic dirges taking up most of the third LP. Considering the whole affair actually lasts a fairly palatable two hours (the necessity of three discs apparently justified by the different aspects of the band’s sound), ‘Rated O’ could well be considered the quintessential ONEIDA album. REVELATORS , THE - Let a poor boy ride LP 12.50 EUR

PUNK. This is the long lost second album by these fine Texans with John Schooley, later famous for founding the HARD FEELINGS and a hard working one-man band, on the guitar. They recorded this album in 1998 in Austin in only two days with Bill Randt on drums (he later went to the NEW BOMB TURKS). Shortly after recording the album, they played their last show and split up. The recordings got lost for over a decade. Now, Crypt Records is bringing out these 12 songs of Garage-Punk and fuzzed out Rock and Roll with a grinding slide guitar and even a ballad thrown in. Never did the REVELATORS sounded any better and any fan of that wild Crypt stuff will get crazy over that one! (2009/CRYPT)

SEDATIVES - Same LP 11.50 EUR

PUNK. After having given us the first 7'' fix a couple of month ago, us leeches out there craved for more of that exceptional sound. To finally put an end to our itching turkey, Canada's four-piece SEDATIVES throw these 11 ounces of Punkrock smack into the filthy gutters and back alleys of the record junkie underworld. Each of the anthemic songs is like a candy-like pill that suddenly develops its dark and dangerous effects and takes you for a mid-tempo three-chord-ride on pumping drums, downstroke guitars and church organ tunes that float in the air while a hell of a melodic voice sings of human failure and personal devastation. This is one good bag of an archaic Punkrock record with a sombre undertone and the dose of danger and catchyness that you seek for. The fierce ''Cannot calm down'' and ''Superstitious minds'' are already known from the first 7'' and were now rerecorded with Skottie of THE CREEPS providing guest vocals, as well as Rob of the STATUES singing on the Überhit ''Slip away'', while new songs like the looming ''Backlash'', ''Catastrophe'', ''No Time'' or ''Hollow in the heart'' show that the band is up for more. So keep on scratching till the next time. (2009/P. TRASH)

STATUES - We're disparate 7'' 4.90 EUR

PUNK. We really got desperate waiting for ''We're disparate'' by our favourite Canadian sons of Pop-Punk who start this small sign of life with the somehow less poppy and more dodgy title track that is by any means a STATUES song as we know and love it before getting to the real nitty gritty with the super cool and catchy ''To the top'' and the fantastic ''Young enough'' where they once more demonstrate that they are still young enough to care and definitely not old enough not to start. The live shot on this Sub Pop Single-Club rip-off sleeve is the living proof and everybody who was in the audience that night can tell the tale. (2009/P. TRASH)

STEFAN & THE PROBLEMATIX - Same 7'' 4.90 EUR

PUNKROCK. Sometimes it just clicks. And even though it may be one-time-only thang, the fruits of this encounter will endure the test of time. No, we're not talking about that one drunken night with the laquered-down snuff queen you have a baby with now and who's killing you with her monthly payment requests. We're talking about the getting together of Stefan of RANDY with Marcus, Robert and Jens of the REGULATIONS after he was blown away by one of their spectacular performances. They decided to start this band together but only played a couple of blood-drenched shows in their hometown of Umea before calling it quits soon after. Not without leaving us this little bastard of a baby. The epic ''Ghost Riders'', the fast and crispy ''S.S.D.D.'' and the ball-swinging ''In the City'' are three driving, melodic and brutally catchy tunes that carry the unmistakely chromosomes of Stefan's main band RANDY that got in the gene pool with a dark dash of the MISFITS and brought to light by some raunchy guys that know the score. Like all the good things, this leaves you wanting more, even though you know that it will never be.
So put your sticky fingers on a copy of this Punkrock testament and shake it. (2009/P. TRASH)

HARDCORE. 2009’s most anticipated full-length from Baltimore’s TRAPPED UNDER ICE is about to be set loose on the unsuspecting ears of the faithful and doubters alike. Continuing where 2008’s ''Stay Cold'' EP left off, "Secrets of the world" is the 12 track full-length from Maryland’s new standard bearers of Hardcore. The EP continues to sell to new audiences and is considered by many to be the Hardcore record of that year. The album is designed to inspire self-reflection in a world that leaves you beaten and bleeding. With cover art painted by artistic luminary and musician Daniel Higgs (LUNGFISH), deluxe packaging, and the music inside, this is a must have for anyone interested in the genre. That being said, "Secrets of the world" is poised to add the next level to their still embryonic legacy. After shattering the Bay Area underground as a frantic one-man-band that was devoured by the local press, Segall has now given up the solo act for a three piece that destroys sonic and melodic boundaries with manic glee. The new live setup is a better reflection of his studio work--which generally starts with his one-man-band setup and builds from there.
