Only a short note this time: we have just received the REVOK - BAD BOOKS AND EMPTY PASTS LP version. All preorders are already on the way to you.
We also got the KODIAK + BLACK SHAPE OF NEXUS . SPLIT LP - but the pressing plant made several mistakes. So there's a further delay of 2 weeks for this one. PLEASE don't send any requests concerning this record. Just check your order status from time to time and check our homepage. We're running low on the colored version of it. So you maybe shouldn’t wait to long if you want to own it.
Very soon we'll start the preorder of the new CELESTE full length called MORTE(S) NEE(S).
And if you can't get enough of interviews with label idiots: we did a huge one with the German onlinezine metalnews.de a couple of weeks ago. You can find the link below. Thanks to Alex for making it possible. Sorry it's just in German. But people from foreign countries at least can try to win some cds at a contest. And to sum it up for you: we just said that we hate iTunes, love vinyl, and that Celeste are good at bad jokes!

KODIAK + BLACK SHAPE OF NEXUS - SPLIT LP

KODIAK: “is not a band that you just play for enjoyment; It needs time and attention, but when it locks you in its slowly developing, pachyderm-paced punishing groove, Kodiak has a lot to offer, proving that monotony and monolithic heaviness are enough to make great songs, if you know how. Kodiak definitely know it.” (rock-a-rolla)
BLACK SHAPE OF NEXUS: “Germans Black Shape Of Nexus enveloped everyone in a bleak miasma of hatred and despair.” (Terrorizer); Appropriately for BLACK SHAPE OF NEXUS as the suffocating heaviness of their music functions either way – they can be the centre of your worst nightmares or the connection to all those dark places where you don’t ever want to go. Or both. Pummelling you with painfully slow doom and finishing you off with acrid, harsh drones, B-SON give down-tempo a whole new meaning.

REVIEW SNIPPETS:
METALNEWS (6.5/ 7)
wie KODIAK so schön sagen: „Lights out, volume up!“.
Musikansich (18/ 20)
Beeindruckend!!! (…)
(…) Kodiak steuert mit “Town Of Machine” ein monolitisches Schwergewicht in hypnotischer Monotonie bei, Black Shape Of Nexus mit “VIIIE” die Vertonung eines düsteren Infernos, langsam in Doom und Moll. Fazit: faszinierend.
ASICE (4/ 5)
Kodiak returns with another split, this time with Black Shape of Nexus. Again one long track with lots of feedback. The band is still a monotonous monster but just like before you
hear the melody through the mist. As always with Kodiak "Town of the Machine" hits me after a couple of times. Just as their previous stuff the recipe is the same, again it works deadly. After a Khanate beginning they are moving further with some subtle guitar tones and effects before entering the end part. Heavy drums, a dissonant guitar riff and a low bass
sound bring a melancholic but hopeful atmosphere. Just as their previous releases it keeps the stranglehold tight and that’s clever in a scene with bands that almost do the same.
Disagreement (8/ 10)
B.Son: It doesn’t matter which side you listen to first, so for the sake of alphabetical order, I start with Black Shape Of Nexus, a German doom metal sextet specialised in the creation of really long and very sludgy sonic nightmares. The vocals have a certain death metal affinity, and discreetly used keyboards give their twenty-two minute epic VIIIe a vaguely psychedelic aura. They have certainly not reinvented the genre, but manage all the same to add their own signature style. Kodiak: Kodiak have only half the number of musicians, and consequently do without vocals and keyboards. Their music is even less conventional, using the ingredients of doom metal and adding the textures of drone and ambient. Their track Town Of Machine is comparatively short with “only” seventeen minutes, but shows the three-piece once again from their most
apocalyptic side.
NOIZINE
These are two of the most intelligent and interesting drone doom metal bands of the present. They are both from Germany and they build a modern doom metal under down-tempo lines and ambient elements. This split is totally substantial. (...) Kodiak: Their doom is more experimental, they do not follow a musical rhythm and they do not have a melody. They build drones and they accompanied them with abrupt drums. After the tenth minute of the track the music slow down and there is an ambient passage and at the last 4 minutes the things
go mad. Excellent noise metal as never played before. I miss that noise behind the guitars and Kodiak could do it really well. Fantastic. Huge.
REVOK - BAD BOOKS AND EMPTY PASTS ... LP

"Holy shit, I absolutely understand why people were telling me to check this band out, because this is an absolutely excellent album that really has a lot to offer. The base of their approach should definitely appeal to fans of this niche of the French scene, what with its pulsing rhythms and dark, grating textures and scathing vocals. However, the direction in which they're heading is also incredibly distinct, and really sets them apart from other (often more standard) acts that explore these realms of 'extreme music'. (...) The vocals are also pretty colorful, often employing strange techniques that combine singing, speaking, and sneering - which really adds to the overall atmosphere of the material and fits in well within the spaciousness of the music. It's impressive how awesomely everything pieces together, really. I mean, the recording is superb, and the mix keeps one guitar on the left and the other on the right, thus allowing plenty of focus to fall towards the rhythm section. This also highlights the fact that the two guitars are damn near never doubling one another (or the bass, for that matter), so there's always something unique happening on all sides and layering together into the whole. Very fucking cool. Very."
