SINCE THE FLOOD - Die Hardcore / Metal Band aus New England hat sich nach sieben gemeinsamen Jahren aufgelöst. Alben gab es in dieser Zeit über Ironclad Recordings und Metal Blade Records.

Schlagzeuger Luke Buckbee schreibt: "It's been a long and hard 6.5 years. Would I ever give one second of it up? Not for the world. As of Thursday September 11th 2008, Since the Flood is done. I'm sure this is a huge surprise to many people, but it was a decision that needed to be made.

No matter what anyone thought of us, we were a blue collar band. We never had the hype that many more recent bands enjoy. We toured our asses off, partied all over the world, and wrote music that we loved to play. Since the Flood never made any money and never turned into a true business. Looking back, I think that this was a blessing in disguise, because we can all walk away and feel in no way cheated. We all had some amazing experiences and all came home broke as shit.

Why the break-up? Gas prices? Member issues? Yup. But those aren't the main reasons. It's just time to move on. For Chuck, Kevin, and Rob that time came sooner than later, but for Dave, Nate, Ricky, Dan and I, the time is now. There's no anger or bitterness it's just time to start a new chapter in our lives and careers.

The amount of people I (and all of us) feel indebted to and need to thank is absolutely endless and to try and list all these people would be pointless. To all our friends all over the world that came to our shows, bought records, and supported us in any way, thank you. We would be nothing without you. To the people at Metal Blade, Ironclad, Scott, Leah, Swis, Ramona, Chris, and anyone else on the business side of things, our neverending gratitude goes out to you. We never could have done it without you.

And to you all; you helped me live out my dream. To travel the world, play music, and live on the road is all I wanted to do since I was listening to terrible local bands at age 13. I'm in perpetual debt to all of you and won't ever be able to thank you enough.

Finally, we still have two shows booked that we WILL be playing. We'll be playing a benefit for suicide prevention this Saturday September 27th at Anchors Up(formerly Welfare Records) in Haverhill, MA. It's going to be a great show with special guest Guns Up! along with Far From Finished, Hammer Bros, and Doggfight US. Check out our myspace for the details. Also, we'll be playing October 5th at the Waterfront in Holyoke, MA with On Broken Wings, The Miles Between, Outrage, Pressure's On, and Keepin it Real. This will more than likely be our last western Massachusetts show. We may or may not be doing some sort of final show, but we haven't figured out the details yet. As soon as we come up with a plan, we'll let you know.
