Matthew Pickering-Copley (bass, vocals) and Tom Clements (drums) aka run,WALK! have been battering UK and European audiences with their bass-led artrock for severalyears.They formed as teenagers in the southern city of Winchester and it wasn't long until they were snapped up by influential hardcore label Holy Roar (Gallows, Rolo Tomassi, Trash Talk,
The Ghost of a Thousand). Shortly afterwards they released the seventrack EP 'I Hope This All Works Out So I Can Stop Standing on Even Amounts of Manholes in the Street' to critical acclaim.

Their unrelenting hard work and dedication to the cause was rewarded in 2011 with a slot at SXSW where the band where one of the loudest and most devastating highlights of the festival. They boast some serious slabs of distortion, feedback and a megaton of low-end crunch with sharp hooks and stop-start rhythms. These guys are noisy. Like, NOISY noisy. They take no
prisoners. All they want is to batter your ear drums and have a good time.

Battle For Paris are a five piece post-hardcore band from Bridport in Dorset who combine dueling guitars with complex rhythms and throat-lacerating vocals. Despite the fact they only released their debut EP, “With A Gun Between Your Teeth, You Speak Only In Vowels” in December, the band have already created an instantly recognisable and refreshing sound.

Combine the schizophrenic energy of The Blood Brothers with the calculated intricacy of The Fall of Troy, throw in a Meet Me In St. Louis-esque sense of experimentation and you start to get an idea of what this band is about. “Ones to watch”, as they say. In 2011 the band signed to Small Town America Records (ASIWYFA, Lafaro, This Town Needs Guns) and will go on to
release their debut album "superstar" in the autumn.
