BULLET TREATMENT / NIPPLES, THE split 7" (basement - This split 7" features 3 rare BULLET TREATMENT tracks with their most recent line-up. And 4 zanny numbers from everyone's favorites THE NIPPLES. Fans of punk rock everywhere should get it quick before they are gone. Red vinyl) 4.50
BULLET TREATMENT Dead Are Walking 7" (basement - The newest release from the ever-changing entity known as Bullet Treatment features the usual loud, kick ass, pedal to the medal hardcore punk rock you won't find anywhere else. This time Bullet Treatment has stretched out yet again aquiring their first female vocalist, Ms. Liza Graves of CIVET (Disaster Records). Dave H. of THE DRIPS (White Drugs) reprises his role behind the drum kit as does the brain child of this project DChuck tackling Bass duties this time out insted of his more familiar role of guitar giving those duties to Chris from the VOIDS (Dr. Strange Records). For those "in the know", Bullet Treatment lash out blistering tracks like their earlier counterparts Minor Threat, Bad Religion, 7 Seconds, Bad Brains, & the Circle Jerks. Orange wax) 4.50
BULLET TREATMENT "The Bigger, The Better" 7" (basement records - The newest release from the ever-changing entity known as BULLET TREATMENT features the usual loud, kick ass, pedal to the medal hardcore punk rock you won't find anywhere else. Unbelievably these guys manage to keep releasing quality records while consistently rotating the band members. At last count there has been upwards of 20 some people to take part in the B.T. project. The newest line-up has captured 4 songs that pick up right where the highly publicized "What more do you want" e.p. left off although a new vocalist, drummer, & bass player have stepped in. For those "in the know", Bullet Treatment lash out blistering tracks like their earlier counterparts MINOR THREAT, BAD RELIGION, 7 SECONDS, DEAD KENNEDY'S, & DRI. 4 new unreleased tracks, including the sequel to "Francisco Cabrerra From Pico Rivera"......"Jose Molina From West Covina" takes the spotlight while the track "Fuck Up" is a cover of their personal fav's THE NIPPLES. As usual making their own rules, keep an eye out for these limited records as they will include a limited amount of vouchers to win the entire Bullet Treatment catalog.) 4.50
MASERATI towers were wires 7“ (Hello Sir records - There great 7“ back in stock. “Towers were wires” and “Asymmetrical Threats” were contributed by Maserati to the three way split cd with cinemechanica and we versus the shark. Both songs were recorded during the “confines of heat” recording session. These two tracks have been augmented and enhanced by the inclusion of Jerry Fuchs (turing machine) and Tristan Wraight (Absinthe blind). Though evolved, this is unmistakably Maserati at their finest and offers both a strong closing chapter on their original lineup and an exciting first look at the potential of the new maserati roster.) 5.00
MISERY INDEX hang em high 7" (garden of exile - The 3 new Misery Index tracks for the 7” release blew us way, and show a more raw side of the band than we are used to. The songs are short, aggressive, raw and full of breakdowns. Beside these 3 songs this release includes a long accoustic version of the song "Discordia". Greg Houston came up with one of his best cover designs to date) 5.00
SINGLE FILE LINE same 7" (bloodlink - two tracks of melodic mid 90’s emo hardcore, one of the tracks has a flute player which draws comparisons to jethro tull meets hoover.) 4.00
SUPREME COMMANDER / TWO MAN ADVANTAGE split 7" (basement records - Supreme Commander rose from the ruins of 3 prolific and hardworking DC punk bands. In the winter of 2005, ex- members of Latchkey, Wake Up Cold and the Daycare Swindlers convened. With the experience of thousands of shows, a slew of releases and a firm knowledge of what it takes to keep a band productive, Supreme Commander hit the rehearsal studio and began building a catalog of loud, fast, melodic hardcore. Comparisons to Dag Nasty, Gorilla Biscuits and Pennywise were drawn. Two Man Advantage were forged from the punk rejects of all the other teams, a group of individuals came together to form the deadliest machine ever to grace the ice. With a total commitment to hockey, beer, and punk rock,Two Man Advantage was born kicking and screaming into a savage, hostile environment with sticks swinging. This split 7" will be their first release in 5 years. So grab a beer, lace your skates, wear your mohawk up, and hit the ice with the Two Man.) 4.50
XIU XIU/ DEVENDRA BANHART split 7“ (5rc - Xiu Xiu: unique voice and clarity, moments of childlike ridiculousness, lyrics that are strange but feel like home. Banhart: same description. And yet they differ so much. Xiu Xiu looks down to watch everything fall apart. Whispering and screaming among a slight pop-like structure of electronic blips and bleeps. Banhart looks up to the sky and finds beauty and hope in everything, singing with gigantic groups of smiles while strumming away on lo-fi acoustic guitars and the occasional hand claps. Here, they take a song of their own and switch places. Xiu Xiu takes over "The Body Breaks" while Devendra takes on "Support Our Troops! OH!") 5.00
CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX - Shark & Storms 10" (invada - *Limited re-press on green vinyl* Having a member of Mogwai in your lineup and making post-rock does admittedly set expectations fairly high. Although not entirely responsible for the genre itself, Mogwai were integral in getting it ‘out there’ and have recorded some of the most important additions to it’s canon, and now in 2006 the sound is still going strong. Crippled Black Phoenix takes Mogwai bassist Dominic Aitchison and places him next to Electric Wizards’ Justin Greaves and Panthiest members Andy Semmens and Kostas Panagiotou and between them the four create a very pleasant racket indeed. At times sounding like an extremely heavy Radiohead, at others coming across like an incredibly depressed ISIS this is just what we like to hear from the post rock folks at the moment, and like Red Sparrows have taught us recently there’s life in the old beast yet. Packaged beautifully in luscious brown card and limited to a mere 500 copies for the world this ain’t gonna last long so grab while you can...) 11.50

31 KNOTS „the days and nights of everything“ LP (polyvinyl - The best music is always truly indefinable. Words can't truly describe Tom Waits' caterwaul the same way they can't explain what it feels like to experience the deafening volume of a J. Mascis guitar solo. Portland, Oregon's prolific 31 KNOTS have described their sound as “post-apocalyptic Vaudevillian punk,” and while that's an apt description, it doesn't begin to express the level of demented-pop brilliance on the band's latest full-length, The Days and Nights of Everything Anywhere. Thanks to an expert mixing job by DEERHOOF’s GREG SAUNIER and engineering by JAY PELLICCI (Deerhoof engineer), 31 Knots have transformed their musical landscape into a skewed fantasy world located somewhere between Alice In Wonderland and Cursive's Happy Hollow. “31 Knots know their Yes, and they know how to make Fugazi and Slint sound exactly like Yes. This is John Anderson fronting Modest Mouse, and it works so well that 31 Knots will be the flagship band when the term ‘prog pop’ enters our lexicon.”) 15.00
ANTELOPE Reflector LP (dischord - Antelope plays meditative, stripped-down punk music that uses the melody vs. repetition equation to produce tightly crafted gems. The band formed in 2001 and is comprised of Justin Moyer (formerly of supersystem and El Guapo), and former Vertebrates members Mike Andre and Bee Elvy. To date Antelope has released two records, a six-song EP in 2003 (Dischord #132.5) and a two-song single in 2004 (Dischord #142). "Reflector," Antelope's first full-length release was recorded in November 2006 at the Dischord House by Ian MacKaye and mixed by Ian and the band with Don Zientara at Inner Ear Studios. Antelope played it's first regional shows in eastern and mid-western US cities. The band accompanied Q and Not U and Black Eyes on an extensive tour of the United States in September of 2003 and continued playing regional shows in 2004. Antelope toured with Joe Lally and Soccer Team for separate stretches in 2006.) 11.50
ASSFACTOR 4 same LP (old glory - Debut LP from this fantastic SC band. Great melodic punk/hardcore. some copies back in stock) 11.00
BILLY CHILDISH & THE MBE Punk rock at the british music hall LP (damaged goods - Wild Billy Childish is back with his new band 'The Musicians Of The British Empire' and their debut album 'Punk Rock At The British Legion Hall'. Every 5 years or so Billy Childish is sited by the current top band as the embodiment of rock'n'roll integrity, and every 5 years or so Billy splits his group up and starts again from scratch. With his latest combo, The Musicians of the British Empire, Billy carries on his tradition of home made punk and rhythm and blues. Singing odes to Joe Strummer and nodding to The Who, whilst showing the next generation what a real rock 'n' roll group sounds like.) 15.00
BLACK COBRA bestial LP (at a loss records - Black Cobra is a duo that is the product of four years of work between Jason (ex cavity) and Rafael (ex -16-). Both individuals are originally from Miami, Florida and Black Cobra formed due to both individuals visiting parents during holiday breaks. Eventually this resulted in trading riffs through the mail and sporadic visits to each others residences. 2006 finally sees the release of this eleven song goliath entitled “bestial”! As Aaron Burgess for AP wrote: this is “like karp with Jupiter size balls and swords for teeth”.) 11.50
BOOK OF BLACK EARTH The Feast LP (kreation - "Seattle's Book of Black Earth formed out of the smoldering ash of Teen Cthulhu in 2003. A demo was recorded and eventually they hooked up with Portland's Fall of the Bastards for a split album. The Feast is the first full length album for Book of Black Earth. Punishing blackened death metal (or deathened black metal if you prefer) is the order of the day. Subtle and unintrusive keyboard strains give an epic and vast quality to the memorably brutal songs on display. Vocalist TJ Cowgill's menacing guttaral delivery coupled with the assault of Joe Axeler's (Skarp) double bass-drum march propel the songs to sit comfortably alongside far more experienced and noteworthy bands in the genre. And unlike most death metal, the Feast is precise and over soon enough to leave you wanting much, much more.") 16.00
BORIS*MERZBOW Walrus/Groom LP (hydra head - Hydra Head presents another collaboration between Boris and Merzbow, which was originally recorded in 2001. The LP is packaged in an awesome heavy weight gatefold cover, modeled after that of Yes' "Fragile." super thick vinyl as well. all colors (even black) are limited to the same amount – we have just black ones left) 25.00
BULLET TREATMENT the mistake LP (think fast records - Bullet Treatment have finally completed the recording for their first full length album "The Mistake". The reason this is considered the first full length is because this is the first record to actually exceed the 20 minute mark. Even then, these 16 brand new songs barely go over 20 minutes. his version of Bullet Treatment features the return of vocal duties by Matt Caughthran from The BRONX. Other members have taken part in everyone from The DRIPS to SUICIDAL TENDENCIES. For fans of Descendents, Minor Threat, and Adolescents. Your last chance to get this goodie) 14.00
B.U.S.H. debut LP (625 - Featuring veterans of I SHOT CYRUS and a million other Sao Paulo based bands, BxUxSxH kick-down some WASTED YOUTH/JxFxA inspired '82 hardcore punk, mixed with 60's garage rock riffs and late 70's (post) punk influences - perfect blend of rawness, energy and tons of guitar licks.) 10.50
CAR VS DRIVER "out of a silent sky" LP (lunchbox records - "out of a silent sky" is car vs drivers second full length. Car vs driver were an atlanta band that existed from 1993 to 1995. "out of a silent sky" is an excellent document showcasing car vs driver's dynamic sound. Think of a cross between jawbox, jawbreaker, fugazi and navio forge. In many ways this band was tragicly overlooked. There will be a 2xcd discography issued on stickfigure discography in the near future. Good.) 10.50
EARTH Hibernaculum LP(southern lord – NOW IN STOCK. The vinyl version of Earths' latest offering: "Hibernaculum" is upon us! Beautifully designed heavy cardboard, "tip-on" style (ie: like an old 70s jacket) jacket with thick printed innersleeve. Slightly different artwork then the CD.
The audio material consists of (3) old Earth classics redone in a different, stark and clean tone (akin to the "Hex" material) plus the track "A Plague of Angels" which was previously available on a rare tour only split (w/ sunn 0)))) 12". The lineup assembled by Dylan for this album compliments the aesthetic and direction perfectly. Adrienne Davies who brought a patient, consistent and complimentary rhythm and percussion to the "Hex" album is again behind the drum kit. Don Mcgreevy and Jonas Haskins provide bass support. Steve Moore assists on keyboards and horns. Greg Anderson (sunn 0))) ) adds subsonics via analog synth on "Ouroboros is Broken" and "Coda Maestoso in F (Flat) Minor. As with the "Hex" album the present Earth is focused and precise yet the heavy darkness remains unbroken.) 16.00
GLASS CANDY i always say yes LP (troubleman - Newest Glass Candy tracks showcase the band in their constant state of evolution- getting closer and closer to their goal of supreme disco bliss. Taking cues from the Italians and Germans and French in special ways- in organic ways- in non ironic ways. Unlike most dance music, actual TIME was spent making this music. Sweat and sacrifice. A majestic achievement. No neon pants or bandanas were worn during these sessions.) 11.00
GROWING live DLP (conspiracy - 72 Min Live 2xLP of complete drone bliss, contains two complete live shows. These recordings were released on cd through Archive Recordings and are long sold out. “While Growing continually return to that near-ambient tranquility, the record is a series of meandering excursions into MASSIVE slow motion, melted-riff soundscapes, notes and chords unfurl impossibly slowly, as if someone had doubled the gravity and the sound waves were actually visible, drizzling lazily to the floor like molasses or honey, rich golden globs of thick distorted throb. Like Earth and Skullflower meshed into one buzzing blurry soundfield, all muted melody and crunchy riffage, a pulsing swirl of feedback and guitarral grrrr! The sound is basically phenomenal…” (Aquarius) Growing is a band from Olympia, Washington that was formed by Kevin Doria, Joe Denardo, and Zack Carlson (who left the band following the release of their first album) in 2001. They play instrumental drone rock with elements of noise and ambient music. Their live shows are known for being incredibly loud, playing straight through their set without break or pause. They have released albums on Kranky, Animal Disguise, Archive and Megablade, and currently have a new full length album out on Troubleman.) 18.50
HOT CROSS Risk Revival LP (parnoid/ level plane – yellow wax - After the inevitable implosion of the volatile punk and hardcore movements of the 80's, post-hardcore was born. These musical evolutions represented a more melodic and musically thoughtful direction from artists and scenes that had outgrown their primal aggression. Similarly, when members of Saetia, Neil Perry and You and I (among many, many others) banded together to form Hot Cross, their output took a step forward in the evolution of the genre those bands helped establish. While the acts from which the band was formed may have been more than a bit removed from early hardcore, Hot Cross takes many of their musical cues from that first wave of post-hardcore acts like Fugazi, Drive Like Jehu and Quicksand. The songs are aggressive and melodic but the chord progressions and arrangements often defy the conventional standards by which those terms are measured. Risk Revival is the band's second proper full-length album and their first in almost four years.) 12.00
ISIS in the absence of truth DLP (daymare - Isis are a band who are forever going through transitional stages. They've evolved in every way possible since the early days of "Mosquito Control" and "The Red Sea", even from their debut album "Celestial" back in the year 2000. For me, the major differences come in terms of musical progression and the production of Isis' music. In the days of "Celestial" Isis' production was hazy and worthy of their reputation as a Sludge Metal band, but with "The Absence Of Truth" Isis have developed a far cleaner sound in which every instrument is easily distinguishable and the vocals can actually be made out. Another major difference that struck me instantly with this new approach from Isis is the vocals. Long gone are the days where Aaron Turner screams his way through song after song, but now there is a bit more variation in vocals which we started to see on "Panopticon". His clean vocals are introduced more often than not now, and they're immense. They grab your attention and are able to hold it for long periods of time, he is a superb vocalist. He can alternate between styles of vocals easily and pulls off such beauty with his clean vocals which compliment the music fantastically. Seemingly Isis have resorted to a more tribal feel, something like that of Tool. It's a welcomed addition personally. Synths are more prominent and more easily distinguished in the music. The texture of the music is also something that has been vastly improved. Isis spin out some very beautiful melodies and harmonious vocals. Comparisons are likely to be made between Isis and a number of bands including, Tool, Pelican and Jesu. But Isis are in a league of their own. This album is simply stunning, it contains everything you'd want and everything that makes music great. Incredible melodies, fantastic structures and a bit of variation from the norm. Highlights include; Wrists of Kings, Not In Rivers, But In Drops and Garden of Light. CLEAR) 49.00
LANDED times i despise LP (load records -Website only 12" to coincide with the reawakening of this longtime Providence band after a hibernation of some odd years. Mush mouthed blabber backed up by underwater cold filtered mud cannons. Songs tell adult themed tales not safe for work, rest or play. Members of this band are/have been in Olneyville Sound System, Pleasurehorse, Chinese Stars, Six Finger Satellite.... etc. Guitar, bass and drums never sounded so silly. Like changing a tire on the space shuttle, this had to be done.) 15.00
LETS GROW disease of modern times LP (625 - Finally, three years after the last release, LETS GROW’s first album is out. The album has 13 songs (officially

NORTH siberia ltd LP (60 60 productions - This is the limited vinyl pressing of the NORTH full length w/ a handmade embroided cover, limited to 450 copies. North is a slightly metal inspired, centrally post-rock quartet who calls Tucson, Arizona home. Siberia marks the band’s foundation before releasing their upcoming full-length, entitled Ruins. In terms of how deep they find themselves down the rabbit-hole of instrumental bleakness, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say North are probably the most engaging post-rock band I’ve come across since, let’s say, Pelican. But, sadly, that doesn't stop them from being slightly run of the mill. Far from the metaphysical release we see basement-dwelling post-rockers cum over year after year in endless Blogspot rehashed pages, but a shoe-in for those “Honorable Mention” spots near the bottom of the rankings. Not to say North is a C-list band. Though relatively unknown, their fluidity and general grandeur outplays some of the bigger dogs the public eye has unfortunately failed to look past. Simply the finale of the closing track “Body Abandoned” would sway even the most close-minded listener. However expect no new execution to come from Siberia as North more or less cookie-cuts the typical instrumental-epic most of us have heard just about as many times as we can count on two hands. Creativity is a downer, but these guys have a charisma all their own. WELL DONE) 11.50
ODAWAS Raven And The White Night LP (jagjaguwar - Odawas' 2005 debut on Jagjaguwar, The Aether Eater, was a fiery space oddity detailing the brave, the lost, and the maligned. The journey was epic. But the obstinate darkness and disastrous side-effects of space travel are getting lost, and thus turning inward on their follow-up album Raven And The White Night. Odawas' continual pursuit of this experience leads them again and again to these dark corners where the lines between "the journey" and "the chronicler" can easily be blurred. It is here, in this amorphous abyss that Odawas nestle down and create music that bundles our struggles, rumors, egos, failures, and paranoias. Odawas allows us, the patient learners, to see a parallel universe where fear, apathy and uncertainty can lead to a natural bridge that releases us from our own abyss.) 15.00
RIDDLE OF STEEL "Got This Feelin" LP (robotic empire – the cover on this copies we got are damaged – so we have to sell it for a cheaper price – the VINYL is in perfect condition. This St. Louis based power trio have release their masterful second album on Robotic Empire in the form of a limited 12" release. "Got This Feelin" is 43 minutes of fierce and abrasive rock, falling in the heavily addictive void between Cave In's Jupiter-era, Minus The Bear, Queens of the Stone Age, The Police, plus old Chicago and DC sounds in general. There is some unbelievable untapped energy within this band and we hope that by releasing this blistering 12" album some new heads will be turned to their colossal sound. Full color everything w/ spot PMS silver... hot stuff. 600 copies of this masterpiece album have been pressed, 300 of which the band received (all on white vinyl) and the other 300 we at the label have kept (all on translucent red vinyl). Lyrical themes centering around old folklore and nordic mythology mixed with atmospheric heathen black metal. Wolves howling, winds echoing through the woods fueled by nordic black metal savagery.
