-----------------------------------------------------------
AUTISTIC YOUTH - Landmine beach LP 10.50 EUR
HARDCORE-PUNK. This is the European version! Hailing from Portland, Oregon, these four youngsters are influenced heavily by classic '80s bands like WIPERS or ADOLESCENTS, but also by more recent outifts like THE OBSERVERS or THE EXPLODING HEARTS. Wrapped in a nice silkscreen cover this LP rips from start to finish. 11 songs of anthemic and heartfelt punkrock that will make you dance dance dance! (2008/TAKEN BY SURPRISE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
BABYLOVE & THE VAN DANGOS - Lovers choice LP 9.90 EUR
SKA-REGGAE. BABYLOVE & THE VAN DANGOS is a tight group of bonafide musicians and no matter if it’s live acoustic performances on Japanese television, cramped bars or bass booming festivals, this band always delivers their best. After more than 200 shows played throughout the 4 year life of BABYLOVE & THE VAN DANGOS, their soulful sound has earned them a place up with the top live acts on the ska scene. In the spring of 2004, this seven-piece outfit was formed in Copenhagen/ Denmark by lead singer Daniel ”Babylove” Broman to express the soulfulness of ska music. Less than three months later, this baby was already up and running wild on the Danish ska scene. After a year of song writing,BABYLOVE & THE VAN DANGOS recorded, produced and mixed their debut album ”Run run rudie”, which was released on the band's own label ”Lovers Choice Records'' and sold well so far. “Run run, Rudie” was re-released in 2007 by the international ska label Megalith Records. In February 2007, BABYLOVE & THE VAN DANGOS released a 7” v
inyl recorded the classic way. One take, no cuts and lots of old-school feeling. The single called “Big big baboon” was released by Mad Butcher Records and features the amazingly talented Coolie Ranx (ex-TOASTERS, ex-PILFERS) from New York who brings his personal ”Rudeboy style” to the track. Now, they recorded their second album “Lovers choice” that has 14 brand new songs on it and features Doreen Shaffer from The SKATALITES and was mixed by the legendary Victor Rice from New York. (2008/MAD BUTCHER)
-----------------------------------------------------------
BARONESS / UNPERSONS - Split LP 16.90 EUR
HARDCORE. Previous efforts by BARONESS had an almost "TRAGEDY meets ELECTRIC WIZARD meets THE FUCKING CHAMPS" sound. UNPERSONS' earlier releases were a combination of influences as wide ranging as JESUS LIZARD, RORSCHACH and RUDIMENTARY PENI. The split is a glimpse of amazing things yet to come by both Savannah, GA bands with BARONESS recently signing to Relapse. 2 songs from BARONESS, 6 songs from UNPERSONS! (2008/AT A LOSS)
-----------------------------------------------------------
CANNABIS CORPSE - Tube of the resinated LP 15.50 EUR
DEATH METAL. Grow-housing the traditional "heavy" sounds cultivated by heroes of the '90s Floridian death metal scene, Richmond, Virginia's CANNABIS CORPSE feature dudes from MUNICIPAL WASTE and bring that same sickening metal crunch back in an overt homage to CANNIBAL CORPSE and the sacred green plant that's fueled nearly 20 years of deviant metallic riffing and skull-smashing drumming that comprise the genre. On their second full-length, CANNABIS CORPSE bring more of their silly, weed-inspired death metal that takes influence from two things - herb and CANNIBAL CORPSE. (2008/ROBOTIC EMPIRE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
CATALEPSY - Iniquity CD 11.50 EUR
METALCORE. Catalepsy's quest to play the most punishing metal in North America continues with the release of "Iniquity," which builds upon the groundwork of technical metal they laid with their prior EP "Godless." Through touring alongside HATEBREED, they have begun to turn heads with their sound that can be compared to bands like JOB FOR A COWBOY and THE RED CHORD. (2008/STILLBORN)
-----------------------------------------------------------
CORRUPTED - Paso inferior LP 9.90 EUR
DOOM/SLUDGECORE. Japanese underground icons CORRUPTED create droning, sludgy, painfully slow doom-hardcore and ambient music along the same lines as bands like EARTH, BORIS etc.. Formed in Osaka, Japan, circa 1994, the reclusive group has issued an inordinate number of singles, EPs, split discs, and full-length albums over the years. These include holding anything remotely resembling rock stardom in utter contempt, mysteriously writing all of their lyrics in Spanish, and refusing to even take promo shots, so that the only known images of the group are those snapped by fans at their concerts. Adding to this uncompromising reputation, CORRUPTED released a 70-minute piece of music as their fourth long-player. This is not a vinyl press of the CD from 1997. It's a new recorded and remixed album from CORRUPTED. (2008/VENDETTA)
-----------------------------------------------------------
CROTCH ON FIRE - Anarchist panther 7''col 3.70 EUR
HARDCORE. Full on late '80s noisy powerviolence meets screamo-attack from Texas... this is the last copies from their west coast tour release, which was limited to only 200 copies. Expect some nasty thrash in the vein of COMBAT WOUNDED VETERAN and CHARLES BRONSON. This is one sided record with 7 songs. (2008/SICK THOUGHT)
-----------------------------------------------------------
CROWNS OF KINGS - Lifeline CD 10.90 EUR
HARDCORE. CROWN OF KINGS has a hard-charging line-up, their ranks filled with some of Connecticut's most powerful veterans as well as up and comers in the hardcore punk scene. Wes Fortier (front man and bassist of the legendary DEATH THREAT) has put together this five-piece machine that is a driving force of positivity. The band’s latest effort ''Lifeline'' is a 14-song onslaught on subjects ranging from suicide to turncoats, while also promoting values such as loyalty and respect. Offering a positive outcome to negative situations, the lyrics carry a message of moving onward and upward in a society that at times seems to be on the verge of collapse. CROWN OF KINGS have also released a split EP with Massachusetts-based hardcore band PRICE OF PAIN. (2008/REAPER)
-----------------------------------------------------------
DOWN TO NOTHING / 50 LIONS - Split MCD 7.50 EUR
HARDCORE. Releasedate for the 7'' is 17.06.2008. On their first trip south of the equator, DOWN TO NOTHING met up with Byron Bay's 50 LIONS. By the end of this tour, Richmond's road dogs and Australia's favorite sons found their way into each other's top 8. In between their intense touring schedules, both bands found the time to write 3 of their best songs to date and document the aftermath. Side A features DOWN TO NOTHING conquering the world with their unique brand of metal tinged hardcore, whose intensity is matched by none. Coming through on Side B is 50 LIONS, who are quickly making a name for themselves with their signature mid-paced NYHC sound, all while upping the ante by adding blazing riffs and even harsher vocals. By now, anyone who knows anything knows who DTN is, but here's your chance to get your seat in the front of the 50 LIONS bandwagon. (2008/6131)
-----------------------------------------------------------
ENDLESS DEMISE / 50 50 - Split 7'' 3.70 EUR
GRINDCORE. ENDLESS DEMISE are ex-members of EXCRUCIATING TERROR - insanely brutal, straight forward guttural grindcore from the streets of East LA. 50 50 hail from Houston and dish out some of the best blastcore in recent years. For fans of true grind and blurcore only. Limited pressing of 500. (2008/625)
-----------------------------------------------------------
GHOSTLIMB - Bearing and distance LPcol 9.90 EUR
HARDCORE. This is the second installment by this powerful three-piece from Los Angeles. GHOSTLIMB deliver 11 songs of powerful in-your-face hardcore that reminds sometimes of BORN AGAINST. They are fast and angry and they want to give you a kick in your ass in order to make you think about stuff again and not just care about boring stuff like friendship. GHOSTLIMB features Justin from GRAF ORLOCK and two other rad kids that have their heart in the right place. The LP comes in a wonderful gatefold cover with awesome layout by Adam Hunt. (2008/VENDETTA)
-----------------------------------------------------------
GOVERNMENT ISSUE - A harD.C.ore day's night DVD 11.50 EUR
HARDCORE. Over two years in the making, this DVD compiles three shows from DC hardcore legends GOVERNMENT ISSUE, including a performance from 1982 at the Wilson Center in DC, one from Philadelphia in 1983 and one from the band's later days in 1989. Also included are an interview with John Stabb and liner notes by Stabb and Tom Lyle. (2008/DR. STRANGE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
HERE COMES TROUBLE - Get fucked 7'' 3.70 EUR
HARDCORE. Exploding out of Austin/Texas, this is fast, in your face and nihilistic hardcore that despises everything expected in the modern hardcore scene. No apologies, no compromising, no fucking way!! Their live shows are intensely-brutal and insanely mind blowing and they opened for nearly every great national/foreign act that passed through Austin. No wonder they got a lot of attention for their over-the-top stage charisma and this 7" EP will show you what you missed out on so far. (2008/SICK THOUGHT)
-----------------------------------------------------------
III - Distanz inklusive MCD 5.50 EUR
INDIE/ROCK. III are three individuals, three instruments and three influences. The band members formerly played in bands like SWOONS PSYCHO GAMBOLA, FAKED ID and POPZILLAS and these 4 songs are not what you normally expect from Mad Butcher. This is alternative guitar-rock with a dark edge that focuses on slower ballads with poetic, intellligent German lyrics. (2008/MAD BUTCHER)
-----------------------------------------------------------
KILLING THE DREAM - Fractures LPcol 10.50 EUR
HARDCORE. California's KILLING THE DREAM are an inspiring and passionate contemporary hardcore band. Embodying the same positive emotion found in contemporaries COMEBACK KID and BANE, KILLING THE DREAM's approach also pays tribute to legends UNBROKEN and CHAIN OF STRENGTH. Their collective energy is the definition of hardcore power. After releasing a EP/CD on Rivalry in 2004, KILLING THE DREAM made Deathwish their new label home. In 2005, the band released their "I rewrote it" 7" on Deathwish to praise from hardcore kids worldwide. In early 2005, KILLING THE DREAM traveled to Godcity Studios to record their "In place apart" album with Kurt Ballou (CONVERGE). The album was praised by aggressive music press worldwide as one of the best releases of 2005. The release was even declared "The best hardcore album of the year" by Alternative Press. "Fractures" is KILLING THE DREAM's latest full-length effort. Over a year in the making, "Fractures" was engineered by J. Robbins at Magpie Studios (JAWBOX, BURNING AIRLINES). This record proves that you can progress and mature within the hardcore world, without ever having to leave it behind.(2008/DEATHWISH)
-----------------------------------------------------------
LADIES - Same 7'' 3.70 EUR
PUNK. Fast garagey punk for the hardcore set. Think Sub Pop-era DWARVES meets the MOTARDS without sounding like a '90s throwback. These guys just returned home from a "successful" trip to Cleveland to play the infamous Horrible Fest. This band is the brainchild of Riff Raff Records main man Tony and members have played in such bands as SET TO EXPLODE, BAD ACTIVE, The GOONS and even (gasp!) 25 TA LIFE. Limited to 500 copies. (2008/RIFF RAFF)
-----------------------------------------------------------
MARK LIND & THE UNLOVED - The truth can be brutal CD 10.90 EUR
PUNK. Whittled down from 50 songs, singer-songwriter Mark Lind's third CD, "The truth can be brutal," walks the line between the raw emotion of punk rock and classic rock's pop sensibility in a way very few have since Paul Westerberg left the Replacements. Lind's previous projects, The DUCKY BOYS, SINNERS AND SAINTS and DIRTY WATER all share a place in the hearts of punk fans everywhere. With the unmistakable gravelly Lind voice, his solo music contains an ethos not unlike much of his previous material that has endeared him to many. (2008/SAILOR'S GRAVE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
NO FX - Maximum rocknroll LP 11.90 EUR
PUNK. Legendary NOFX record from 1992 featuring 22 tracks taken from different Mystic Records' recording sessions including their first two EPs as well as compilation and bonus tracks. Now available again on vinyl. (2008/MYSTIC)
-----------------------------------------------------------
OTHER, THE - The place to bleed LPcol/CD 11.90/13.90 EUR
HORROPUNK. Even on their third offering, THE OTHER show the bloodhungry fiend crowd that they learned their MISFITS lesson well and that they are getting better and better. What you get is a good mix of faster tunes and epic slower ones with a theatrical edge and enough power to rip it up. This might be their best and diversified release so far and you must admit it. THE OTHER is an institution when it comes to 138% horrorpunk. Vinyl version is limited to 500 copies. (2008/FIENDFORCE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
PHANTOM WITCH - Same MLP 11.90 EUR
METAL. Already bored with the commercialization of the new "thrash" movement, PHANTOM WITCH choose to ignore the trends and focus on belting out some of the most raw and honest heavy metal to be heard this side of 1986. Heavy Artillery follow suit as they resurrect the anathema of the record industry, the 12" Mini-LP, This EP is strictly limited to 500 vinyl copies with no CD or digital release planned. (2008/HEAVY ARTILLERY)
-----------------------------------------------------------
PRESSURE / COLIN OF ARABIA - Split MLPcol 8.90 EUR
HARDCORE. This will mark PRESSURE’s third formal release, the follow up to last year’s sold out "Death’s head" EP, and their best effort to date. On this release, PRESSURE brings forth 3 new monster jams and a cover of the 4-SKINS classic, “Evil.” COA will punch you in the face and they found a way to do it through a one-sided 12” EP. Their two new songs, along with the cover of Boston heroes BLOOD FOR BLOOD, make up their half of the split. This is the follow up to their ''Snitch'' EP and a precursor to their LP, coming soon on Double Or Nothing Records. (2008/6131)
-----------------------------------------------------------
REDSKA - Le mie pregioni CD 11.90 EUR
SKA-PUNK. REDSKA were born 2001 in Romagna (Italy) and propose in a strong way a ska-punk style together with reggae, reggaemuffin, swing, blues, hardcore, rocksteady influences. Their music meets with the Italiancustomers’ approval. Antifascism, antiracism and the great variety of musical influences make sure both the lovers of reggae style, such as rude boys, mods and people who listen to these sounds for the first time, love this kind of music. Public’s involvement is very important for REDSKA. Sometimes, during the concerts, there are true "invasions" of fans on the stage! 2004, after a long live promotion, the first album "Mi son sbagliato nel confondermi" was published (Sana Records/Audioglobe). 2007 there was a new edition of this album on One Step Records. Until now, REDSKA have played lots of concerts, both in Italy and abroad. "Le mi prigioni" contains 12 songs that present a perfect mix of ska, punk and reggae. Colaborations on the album include members from BANDA BASOTTI, MATRIOSKA, LOS FASTIDIOS, THE GOOD FELLAS and ENRI! (2008/MAD BUTCHER)
-----------------------------------------------------------
ROMANS - All those wrists CD 11.50 EUR
HARDCORE-METAL. Formed in the winter of 2006, ROMANS is a four-piece hardcore/metal/heavy rock band from Burlington, Vermont. While the chaotic speed of CONVERGE, heavy ambiance of ISIS, space-rock of FAILURE and CAVE IN and the balls-out rock of QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE can be heard, their debut "All those wrists" is more than just a hardcore/metal record. ROMANS play a style of math-rock without limitations, dabbling in a bit of everything and rolling it into a cohesive ball of all that is heavy. (2008/BLACK MARKET ACTIVITIES)
-----------------------------------------------------------
SAFARI SO GOOD - Every fight is a food fight when you're a cannibal MCD 5.90 EUR
POP-PUNK. This EP is the first release from central PA's SAFARI SO GOOD, who feature members of the new defunct BREAKING PANGAEA and The COMMERCIALS. They bring an upbeat, light-hearted approach to their sound of high energy pop-punk, bringing to mind TAKING BACK SUNDAY or possibly a male-fronted PARAMORE.
(2008/CHAMPION CHIP)
-----------------------------------------------------------
SATANIC THREAT - In to hell 7''col 6.50 EUR
HARDCORE. Fast, blasphemous hardcore from members of Ohio's GORDON SOLEY MOTHERFUCKERS, NUNSLAUGHTER and MIDNIGHT that draws many influences from wicked fast '80s hardcore. Totally de-luxe packaging with a sweet die-cut, limited to 1000 copies. (2008/GLOOM)
-----------------------------------------------------------
SIDE BY SIDE - You're only young once... LP 9.90 EUR
HARDCORE. The re-release of the legendary and long out-of-print SIDE BY SIDE EP. Re-mastered to be better than ever, this release has been expanded to a full-length packed with unreleased studio, live, and practice recordings. For all of those who missed out on the first round its back and here to stay... (1997/REVELATION)
-----------------------------------------------------------
SIX REASONS TO KILL - Another horizon CD 9.90 EUR
METALCORE. SIX REASONS TO KILL is now armed with a new vocalist, Thorsten Polomski, and a fresh perspective on how to conquer the metal world. The new album "Another horizon" follows the same destructive path of its predecessor, but with more vocal melody infused into their now distinct "sledgehammer to your face" approach. Along with the unabashedly "metal worship" also comes a socially conscious album, dealing with such topics as discrimination, environmental exploitation, racism, war and human rights. (2008/TRIBUNAL)
-----------------------------------------------------------

TALCO - Mazel tov CD 11.90 EUR
SKA-PUNK. The “Combat circus” is back. In fact, "Mazel tov" represents the direct pursuance of the previous album. 13 tracks of combat punk-chanka, with the addition of a bonus track dedicated to the pirates of St. Pauli, the antifascist football fans. "Combat circus" was the beginning of a trip, "Mazel tov" represents a coming back home, ska-punk with politically committed attitude that sound like MANO NEGRA, BANDA BASOTTI and THE CLASH! (2008/MAD BUTCHER)
-----------------------------------------------------------
TEXAS IS THE REASON - Same 7'' 3.90 EUR
EMOCORE. The sound is as huge as the state. Featuring former members of 108, RESSURECTION, SHELTER, FOUNTAINHEAD, and Anti-Matter Zine. Now available again on vinyl. (1995/REVELATION)
-----------------------------------------------------------
VERSE - Aggression LPcol 10.90 EUR
HARDCORE. VERSE "Aggression" is a statement. In the world of hardcore, bands hardly make it to a third full-length, and rarely is it their most impassioned and urgent. Yet, VERSE has done just that. Front man Sean Murphy has spent the last five years screaming his lungs out, but ''Aggression'' is their most developed and politically pointed release. From the opening chaos of “The new fury” throughout the six-and-a-half minute epic “Story of a Free Man,” it’s clear where VERSE stands with songs about the politically oppressed and the current political and social landscape - yet it's done in a timeless way. It's as if the direct lyrical approach of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE has channeled its way into a vitriolic hardcore band - and the scene hasn't had a band this outspoken and challenging in a long time.(2008/RIVALRY)
-----------------------------------------------------------
WONDER YEARS, THE - Won't be pathetic forever 7''col 4.50 EUR
EMOCORE. Synthie-fueled and hardcore-influenced, the band has produced 4 brand new tracks for new and old listeners alike. Lyrically, The WONDER YEARS still adhere to their own blend of sharp wit and constant allegory, but reflect less on the trials of fictionalized characters and more on those of their own everyday lives. Musically, the band continues to provide catchy pop-punk tunes with touches of hardcore structures, but have also infused more layered and fleshed-out song writing, taking influence from bands like "Your Favorite Weapon"-era BRAND NEW, LATTERMAN and LIVING WITH LIONS. (2008/NO SLEEP)
