BLACKLISTED "Live From Nowhere U.S.A." 7" (6131 records - From the
label: "There's not much to say about Blacklisted that hasn't already been
said. Uncompromising. Thick-skinned. Honest. Real. This seven song
limited live EP features one of the best in the only form that can give you
an accurate picture of what this band's about, the live show. limited
7" on colored vinyl) 4.50

CHAMPION/ BETRAYED split 7” (rivalry) - This "Split" E.P. combines
three brand new exclusive songs from one of hardcore's most recognized
bands, Champion, with three new songs from one of hardcore's most exciting
new bands, Betrayed (featuring two members of Champion and two members
of Carry On). Both bands play fast, yet melodic hardcore in the vein of
Chain Of Strength and Carry On, though both bands compliment each other
with different departures from the same traditional sound.) 5.00

DAMIEN JURADO/ DOLOREAN “traded for fire” split 7” (secretly Canadian -
To celebrate their 2005 European Tour and years of mutual admiration,
Damien Jurado and Dolorean released a split 7-inch that was originally
available only at shows overseas. The 'A' side features Damien Jurado's
cover of Dolorean's "Traded for Fire". Side 'B' is Dolorean's version
of Jurado's classic "Ghost of David" track. It is a limited release of
just 600 copies.) 5.00

DAMNATION AD „the mortal/ hasn´t happend yet“ 7inch (victory ... I hate
the label and love the band – two amazing songs that bring back 1997 on
your turntable.) 4.00

DEATH WISH KIDS „demo“ 7“ (hopscotch – this is maybe your last chance
to get this 7“ while not looking on ebay for it – pre Murder City
Devils. Ex AREA51 . this is awesome) 4.50

DEEP SLEEP “you’re screwed” 7” (grave mistake - Nine song debut EP.
Prepare yourself for a nonstop barrage of raw, spiteful, in your face
hardcore punk rock. The songs are loaded with enough infectious hooks to
keep you singing along from start to finish, while packing enough punch
to knock you straight on your ass at the same time.) 4.00

EFRA /SEEING MEANS MORE split 7” (denovali - efra (paso robles,
california) play an energetic mixture of hardcore and screamo influenced by
bands like transistor transistor and city of caterpillar. starting off
as a more traditional screamo band, seeing means more (orinda,
california) later began to fuse traditional emo with metal/hardcore. Seeing
means more reminds listeners of spirit of versailles blended with some
breakdowns.) 3.50

GO „reactive“ 7“ (GO records – believe it or not – there is a new
awesome GO! 7“ ... and ist still good. I love it - After 15 years, the
legendary NYHC-band GO! has reunited to record this 14 song/12 minutes EP!
In the same vein as before: Fast, loud, socially relevant and fun
songs. GO! existed from 1989 to 1991, and came from the same camp as bands
like CITIZENS ARREST, BORN AGAINST, etc.! Musically they were and still
are comparable to bands like STRAIGHT
AHEAD, early MDC, DAMAGE (NYC) or SEEIN’RED!) 4.00

GROUNDWORK „living in fear“ 7“ (bloodlink - Warehouse find! The debut
groundwork 7" is back in print for a short time! Limited quantities of
this early 90's emo/hardcore/metal classic. This is the Arizona band
that existed from 1991 to 1994.) 4.00

HELM, the "same" 7" (Hanging Like A Hex - This debut from the new
Seattle supergroup featuring ex-Undertow, Champion and Left With Nothing
members shifts to a crusty hardcore focus, dirty as shit, heavier than
life. 6 songs of Tragedy/Cursed inspired hardcore for you to chew on.)
4.00

IRON LUNG/ LORDS OF LIGHT split 7“ (wurgakkoord records – great split
7“ by to of the best powerviolence bands.) 3.50

KODAN ARMADA/ MONTCALM split 7“ (finally back in stock) 4.50

LORDS „the house that...“ 7“ (a date with elvis - "the house that the
lords built" 7inch (a date w/ elvis/ initial - From the rotten
underbelly of Louisville, Kentucky, LORDS has risen. The blasphemous sound
erupts from a frenzy of Gibson guitars, Marshall amps, and thunderous
pawnshop liberated drums, piloted by four scruffy miscreants. Their songs
barely last a minute and a half - rather than getting right to the point
LORDS runs circles around it. Comparisons aren't obvious, because LORDS
are sharp enough to know not to rip off their influences. The easy
answer might be BLACK FLAG meets KARP with early IRON MAIDEN guitar runs
sprinkled throughout... hints of old RYE COALITION and INK & DAGGER can
also be found if you look hard enough. Ultimately, LORDS are a creation
all their own, a stunning and rare feat in these days of faux punks and
manufactured angst. Bow down and enter the house that LORDS built. on
ORANGE wax.) 3.50

MAGRUDERGRIND „owned“ 7“ (punks before profit – great 7“ and since they
had this split LP w/ shitstorm on Robotic Empire – every talks about
them. Grindcore – simple like that. BLUE WAX. On tour in europe again
soon) 4.00

MASTODON "Capillarian Crest“ 7“ (reprise records - "Capillarian Crest"
is the first single from "Blood Mountain", Mastodon's third full
length. This 7" is numbered, includes a poster, and contains a live version
of "Crystal Skull" on the B-side.) 7.00

MERKIT „same“ 7“ (ifb records - "same" (JfB records - fast, mean stuff
influenced by Left for Dead, Drop Dead, with touches of powerviolence
and crust. nice screenprinted covers and limited to 500 copies. looks
good and 6 songs have no time for being disappointed) 4.00

MERKIT/ DEMIAN split 7" (JFB records - Merkit is from Ft. Myers FL.
Three new songs on here by them, one of which is a fun-filled tribute to
the D-Beat formula, plus two other hc/punk tunes and big song
explanations and an insert explaining why the whole globalization thing is for
the birds. Demian hails from Brazil and shares this slab with 6 songs of
killer hc with hints of thrash and grind and even some speed metal
style picking, all held together with some nasty female vocals and good
commentary in the lyrics. The insert has lyrics and song explanations in
English and Spanish. There are 500 pressed w/ hand screened covers using
recycled paper.) 4.00

PLAYING ENEMY“"John Q Russia" 7inch (amonia records - this is the
newest single from Seattle's Playing Enemy, featuring members of Kiss it
Goodbye, Undertow and Rorschach. The end result is heavy and intricate,
fusing together the sounds of their former bands with a more avant-garde,
Jesus Lizard-esque feel, even throwing in electronics on the B-side. we
got purple/ clear and beige/clear if you care) 5.00

SIN ORDEN "Somos La Mayoria" 7" (lengua armada - Chicano pride and
heritage is celebrated by Sin Orden, a windy city group with revolutionary
pro-immigrant stances. All lyrics are in Spanish and shouted over fast,
raging hardcore punk, taking a lot of influence from the late Los
Crudos both lyrically and musically.) 4.50

THESE ARMS ARE SNAKES "Horse Girl" 7" (suicide squeeze - Limited to
2,000 copies, this 7" from Seattle's These Arms Are Snakes is on colored
vinyl and is sure to sell quickly, seeing as the band has spent the last
few years confusing audiences with Drive Like Jehu meets spacy
avant-rock while touring alongside Minus The Bear, Pelican, Isis, Blood
Brothers and more. Colored vinyl) 5.00

sparrowes, made out of babies and battle of mice is finally available!

Sparowes have a full length and split with Gregor Samsa under their
belt and contain members of both Neurosis and Isis. Battle of Mice

of Babies. Back in stock again) 12.00

the VOWS "same" 7“ (dead & gone - The Vows are a hardcore supergroup,
this time of mostly Northwest (with one exception) scene superstars.
Featured are John Pettibone (Undertow, Himsa), Chris Williams (Champion),
Aram Arslanian (Champion, Betrayed), Ryan Murphy (Undertow, Ten Yard
Fight, Ensign and currently The Helm), and Rob Moran (Unbroken, Over My
Dead Body and Some Girls). This EP is made up of four tracks of fast,
positive hardcore proving that the passion for hardcore is still alive
within these individuals.) 4.00

LP

ALBUM LEAF “into the blue again” LP (sub pop - Jimmy LaValle's varied
experience includes stints with Tristeza, The Locust, GoGoGo Airheart,
The Blackheart Procession, and Sigur Ros. "Into The Blue Again" sees
LaValle handling the bulk of the vocal and instrumental duties. After
tracking, he took the concentric billows of feathered keyboards, filmy
strings, and chiseled drums to Iceland for three weeks of mixing to tape
to maintain Brian Eno-informed translucence. Having shared so much time
and space with others on the road, LaValle proves, with this personally
charged release, that The Album Leaf resonates most profoundly when he
goes it alone.) 13.00

ALL OUT WAR „"For Those Who Were Crucified" LP (victory The second full
length release from this brutal upstate NY band. These guys were doing
the whole deathcore thing years ago & remain a pioneer of this sound.
Think of crazy & vicious deathcore with NYHC mosh parts & venomous
vocals. Cro-Mags meet Carcass.limited edition w/ screenprinted cover) 12.00

last unveil their first full-length album. The CD version is released

deluxe gatefold, colored-vinyl edition. An Albatross have been touring
endlessly for the past 4 years and first appeared on GSL with 2004's

massive festival crowds and inspiring praise and a growing legion of
devotees. Recently down-sizing to a 5-piece lineup, An Albatross are
poised to dominate the landscape of spastic, post-ironic hardcore
associated with the likes of The Locust, Melt Banana, Aids Wolf, XBXRX, etc.
nice gatefold cover) 12.00

AT THE GATES „slaughter of the soul“ limited picture LP (earache –
limited repress of their best wallbreaking album on a sexy picture disk
essential ... ) 15.00

BACK WHEN - We Sang As Ghosts LPx2 (shock value - "We Sang as Ghosts"
is a collaboration of mammoth riffs, pounding drums, and quiet country
interludes. These seven songs were recorded by Matt Talbott of HUM and
mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side. The album clocks in at
about 55 minutes and is in the vein of Neurosis, Isis, Pelican, etc.
Members of Back When have also served time in national touring acts such as
Statistics, Caught in the fall, Examination of the.., Plosion, and
Robots Don’t Cry. Double LP version comes on brown/white + blue/green
double-sided color vinyl with a full color 18"X24" poster. Back in stock)
18.00

BLOOD BROTHERS "Young Machetes" 2xLP (Second Nature - A deluxe vinyl
version of the fifth album from Northwest faves THE BLOOD BROTHERS.
Fifteen tracks delivered with themes of surreal consciousness, oblique
politics and rage, and rocked with a renewed vigor brought out by producers
JOHN GOODMANSON and GUY PICCIOTTO (FUGAZI, RITES OF SPRING). Limited
edition pressing of 800 copies on 180-gram virgin vinyl.) 18.00

BONNIE PRINCE BILLY „letting go“ LP (drag city - ..First all-new Bonnie
‘Prince’ Billy solo album since MASTER AND EVERYONE (2003) This time,
There are strings — lovely chartsthat do so much more than just trace
chord changes up and down the neck. “Filthy” Jim White is known
far and wide for hisresource behind the drum kit and he proves it song
after song, up front with Bonny is the bewitching Dawn McCarthy of Faun
Fables. Her vocal flights on those records can hardly prepare one for
the intimacy and empathy of her harmonies and other .. this record is so
awesome since I have been really disappointed by his previous releases)
15.00

BONES BRIGADE „focused“ LP (coalition – finally on vinyl. Fancy fancy
... ) 10.50

COLDBRINGER"Lust And Ambition" LP (dead idead - limited vinyl - With
members of From Ashes Rise, etc. in tow, Coldbringer just add to the fine
roster of current Portland punk bands, adding a mid-tempo melodic sound
to the mix. Some influences may come from bands like Leatherface and
Naked Raygun.) 12.50

CONFESSOR „unraveled“ LP (Southern Lord - Killer! 80's twisted doom
merchants return with more out of control and beyond heavy sounds.
Mathmatical drumming, fat/thick guitar tones, manic weird vocals - all the
trademark Confessor sounds are here. Definitely a different type of doom
metal heavyness and without a doubt something to hear if you are looking
for something outside of the usual.) 16.00

CONVERGE "Petitioning Forever" 2xLP (deatwhish - Their reign
continues... metal/hardcore pioneers Converge are proud to announce the reissue
of their classic "Petitioning The Empty Sky" and "When Forever Comes
Crashing" albums on limited 2xLP color vinyl. Meticulously remixed by
Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou at Godcity Studios and remastered by Alan
Douches at West West Side. These two sonic visionaries have brought new
life to these truly classic recordings, allowing them to rage forth with
a level of aural intensity many never thought possible. Deathwish is
proud to offer both albums packaged together in one breathtaking 2xLP
color vinyl gatefold package. Featuring design from Converge vocalist
Jacob Bannon, this stunning combined release also features original artwork
from acclaimed artist Aaron Turner (ISIS, Hydrahead Records), some of
which was not included in the original due to technological limitations
of the day. These reissues serve as a sincere "thank you" to
supporters, friends, family, and hopefully those yet to discover Converge.) 18.50

CRIMINAL DAMGAGE "same" LP (feral ward - From the mean streets of
Portland, OR come Criminal Damage, featuring members of Tragedy/His Hero Is
Gone/Deathreat. Criminal Damage don't follow the influences of these
bands a they play a more upbeat, melodic style of UK punk that recent
bands like No Hope For The Kids and Gorilla Angreb have been making
popular in underground hardcore punk scenes.) 12.00

DAMIEN JURADO "And Now That I'm In Your Shadow" 2xLP (Secretly Canadian
***On his new album And Now That I'm In Your Shadow, DAMIEN JURADO once
again is calling us out to meet him. With the help of now permanent
members ERIC FISHER and JENNA CONRAD, Damien takes the band approach with
a collaboration in lyrics and sound creating a backdrop to a world
filled with desperation and blessings, life discovered and life that is
lost.) 16.50

DARKTHRONE “blaze in the northern…” lp picturedisc (candlelight –
“Heavy metal has always championed the darker things in life, but whatever
they might say in their interviews, most bands are really just mugging
for the press, fronting a fantasy image for the benefit of their
impressionable young fans. But all bets are off when it comes to the infamous
Norwegian black metal scene, where in the early '90s popular bands like
Mayhem, Emperor, and Burzum saw key members charged with real-life acts
of crime ranging from church burnings to outright murder. Standing just
outside this macabre "inner circle," as it was called, was the
Oslo-based Darkthrone, whose mentorship under scene leader (and later, most
notorious victim) Euronymous began to bear fruit with their third album, A
Blaze in the Northern Sky. Unlike many of their peers — whose hellish
symphonies were often overblown, ultra-complex affairs influenced by
classical and Scandinavian folk music — Darkthrone's was a more
straightforward approach. Their bloated lengths aside (see the ten-minute
"Kathaarian Life Code"), the songs of A Blaze in the Northern Sky remain
relatively uncluttered, and the album's lo-fi production values only serve
to highlight their raw, visceral power. The excellent "Paragon Belial"
is especially memorable, and with their ghostly pancake makeup only
adding to the kids' delight (hey it worked for Kiss, right?), what else
could one ask for in the way of dreary, oppressive black metal?” – Ed
Rivadavia) 18.50

DARKTHRONE “under a funeral moo….” Picture disc lp (candlelight – The
third full length by this norwegian black metal band now available on
vinyl.) 18.50

DARKTHRONE “transilvanian hung….” Picture disc lp (candlelight) –
“"Darkthrone is for all the evil in man," proclaims the back cover of
Transilvanian Hunger, the Norwegian group's fourth release — but more
controversial is the proclamation that contained within was "Norsk Arisk Black
Metal," loosely translated, "Norwegian Aryan Black Metal." One would
have to be fluent in Norwegian to understand whether or not Transilvanian
Hunger boasts a racist agenda, since all lyrics, save for the
vampire-themed title track, are "sung" in said dialect, but such a proclamation
reeks of a publicity stunt from this batch of antisocial black
metallers (further evidenced by the lyrical contributions of Norwegian
scenester/convicted murderer/Burzum leader Varg Vikernes). Look past this
malarkey, and you'll find, well, an impenetrable wall of noise, a 39-minute
blur of mosquito-buzzing guitar riffs, blastbeats, and inhuman howls.
The album boasts a subbasement-level production resembling a distant
radio broadcast ripe with ambient noise; the most patient of black metal
listeners may find some edible scraps amid the production rubble, but
only "Over Fjell Og Gjennom Torner" offers respite with a "Raining
Blood"-type break amid a flurry of sloppy, basement-level Norwegian Cuisinart
grinding. Transilvanian Hunger boasts plenty of notoriety in the metal
underground for its almost laughably anticommercial stance, the band
having urped up a light-swallowing black hole of a record whose songs may
be respectable underneath all the detritus but, hey, good luck finding
'em. Some will proclaim Darkthrone as the one outfit that stayed true,
through most of its career, to the filth-encrusted ethics of the nasty
early-'90s Norse black metal scene — i.e., no frilly keyboards,
symphonic wankery, or professional studios — and maybe Transilvanian Hunger is
a testament to the band's unwavering stance, but actually listening to
it is another matter entirely. Like most of Darkthrone's early
material, it's an unpleasant dentist-drill experience that only the unholiest
of unholies will pretend to enjoy.” – John Serba) 18.50

ELECTRIC WIZARD „dopethrone“ 2xLP (rise above – this record my friend
is their best one!!! You should get it cause otherwise your metal/
stoner record collection means nothing!) 22.50

EMPEROR „anthems to the welkin at dusk“ LP (back on black – this is a
limited pressing on colored vinyl) 16.00

EMPEROR „same“ LP (back on black – not colored. Black as fuck) 15.00

EMPEROR „in the nightside eclipse“ LP (back on black – limited edition
on colored vinyl w/ gatefold cover) 16.00

EMPEROR „promotheus“ LP (back on black – limited edition on colored
vinyl w/ gatefold cover) 16.00

FIRST STEP “what we know” lp (rivalry - The urgency and intensity of
Youth Of Today, the positive delivery of Insted, and a strongly rooted
foundation in old D.C. and Orange County hardcore - The First Step's
first official full length release, "What We Know", picks up where they
left off on the "Open Hearts and Clear Minds" EP, meanwhile adding some
new flavor to their sound along the way. Produced by Walter Schreifels
(Gorilla Biscuits, Youth Of Today, Quicksand, Rival Schools), the album
explodes with speed and a blistering vocal delivery, delivering much of
what we've come to expect from The First Step: honest,
thought-provoking hardcore.) 11.00

GOOD CLEAN FUN „between christian rock abd a hard place“ LP
(refelections – their new album. Ist all about being positive. Yep) 11.50

GOSLINGS "Between the dead" LP (conspiracy - The fourth Lp in our 12
limited LP series My friend Carlo from the audiobot label kindly
introduced me to this obscure LA band, he believed I might like it, and right
he was. We at the Conspiracy office were all pretty much blown away by
their self released cd and decided to offer them to release their debut
full length on vinyl. We definately couldn't describe this record any
better than the fine folks at Aquarius Records out of San Francisco
'...ultra blown out and super distorted, sheets of crumbling high end and
maybe the harshest crunchiest guitar sound we've heard in forever, but
the Goslings take this white hot heaviness, this blown out brutality and
somehow make it pretty, lovely, gorgeous even. Drifting female vocals
and sweet sweet melodies are buried beneath a dumptruck of fuzz, like
the a Mazzy Star record, covered by the Melvins, recorded by Merzbow or
Masonna. Every track is hiding a secret center, a streak of lush
melodicism that sound like bits of My Bloody Valentine, Jesus And Mary Chain,
and huge slabs of warm and wonderful dream pop, all roughed up and
dipped in tar and rolled in dirt and sent staggering through a minefield of
razor sharp guitars, pounding Teutonic drums, all tangled up into a
machinelike throb, trudging relentlessly at a snails pace, a head crushing
plod wrapped in barbed wire riffs and a thick haze of violent whir, but
still you can see a little glimmer, a shiny little wink from within the
massively suffocating clouds of drum dirt and guitar grime, all tape
hiss and recording grit and musical chaos, a glowing orb of crystalline
shimmer, buried and barely visible, almost like someone was tossing
bright shiny pop hooks into a pit filled with snakes and nails and used
syringes and garbage and soiled diapers and rocks and dead animals. So is
this the most gorgeous ugly record ever? The ugliest lovely record
ever? The harshest, sludgiest pop record ever? The loveliest harsh
noise-sludge record ever? Maybe all of the above. So good! ' ) 18.00

GRAF ORLOCK "destination time yesterday " LP (level plane - Graf Orlock
is a cinema-grind band from California, who weave an intricate mesh of
conceptual brutality. Through the vehicle of late 80Õs and early 90Õs
action films, Graf Orlock create a potent social commentary in a theme
that permeates lyricism and live shows. Their new release on Level-Plane
Records, "Destination Time Yesterday," explores a wide range of
critical topics through the medium of concise, intense, and aesthetically
rhythmic songs, coming to fruition in a chaotic sensory barrage. Graf
Orlock have completed several West Coast and U.S. tours in the last year and
a half and have plans to tour Europe in the fall of 2006. backk in
stock) 11.00

GRAILS “redlight” lp (robotic empire - Guitars, pianos, strings, drums
and much more are utilized to merge somber melodies with building waves
of emotion, all sans vocals. It's downright powerful stuff, and all
done with unique songwriting, surprising twists and an overall haunting
feeling that is hard to shake, even after multiple listens. Only 1000
copies of this lp have been pressed. Back in stock) 12.50

GRAILS “the burden of hope” lp (robotic empire - Guitars, pianos,
strings, drums and much more are utilized to merge somber melodies with
building waves of emotion, all sans vocals. It's downright powerful stuff,
and all done with unique songwriting, surprising twists and an overall
haunting feeling that is hard to shake, even after multiple listens.
Only 1000 copies of this lp have been pressed back ins tock) 12.50

ISIS & AEREOGRAMME "In The Fishtank 14" LP (Konkurrent - ***The
fourteenth installment in Konkurrent's excellent In The Fishtank series
features a collaboration between Los Angeles' mighty ISIS and Glasgow's
soaring AEREOGRAMME. Three tracks that show both band's love of metal and
post-hardcore with a spherical and experimental approach that comes off
roomy, emotional, and deeply satisfying. Limted to 1000 copies blue wax)
11.50

MAGRUDERGRIND / SHITSTORM – split LP (Robotic Empire - This 24-track,
22-minute blasterpiece showcases two of the most ferocious newcomers to
the grind/powerviolence scenes in many years. MAGRUDERGRIND bring the
scathing, thrash/crossover influenced grinding mayhem while SHITSTORM
terrorize with gruffer, speed/death metal-tinged destructionɠtogether
creating one of the most abrasive split albums ever conceived. With no
direct mimicry, these two young trios manage to walk in the same shoes
worn by grind greats like DISCORDANCE AXIS and PIG DESTROYER, both
delivering absolutely pummeling performances with only the use of guitar, drum
and voice. That's right, no bass players are needed for songs this
short, fast and absolutely relentless... and no heavyness is compromised
with each band's best recordings to date and a fantastic mastering job by
West West Side. Top it all off with unbelievably sick artwork from
BARONESS' John Baizley, and you've got a split undeniably destined for
full-blown "classic" status.) 11.00

MARS VOLTA „amputechture“ 2xLP (GSL – their new 2 x LP now in stock!!!!
Great cover, great looking record - he third album by The Mars Volta
marks the first time Omar and Cedric have created a work without a single
unifying narrative. The essential creative process remained the same:
Omar creating the music (including the horn sections) and Cedric to
lyricize - but this time with the freedom to document unrelated stories,
vignettes, inside jokes, various people, and events memories. All in all,
Cedric likens the experience alternately to the compartmentalized
episodes of Rod Serling's Night Gallery or the disparate plotlines of David
Lynch's Twin Peaks: storylines not necessarily linear or in any way
connected, but all told in the same voice.) 18.50

MIND ERASER "Glacial Reign" LP (pain killer - Boston's Mind Eraser have
returned with another twelve blazing tracks of hardcore/powerviolence
mayhem. "Glacial Reign" is a barrage of guitars, bass, drums and words,
perfectly combining Crossed Out, Terrorizer and Integrity, with
Rudimentary Peni-esque cover art.) 11.00

MEINE KLEINE DEUTSCHE „roky“ LP (sounds of subterania - "roky" LP
(sounds of subterania - Wild and crazy, danceable and swinging, Meine Kleine
Deutsche stamps out boredom by grabbing it at the jugular.
Torchbearers of the finest punk sounds from both the 60’s and the 70’s – revised
to yesterday’s sounds played today like there’s no tomorrow.) 10.00

METALLICA „the legandary garage tapes“ LP (fanclub – this is for die
hard fans. Their first songs before they got famous. A classic?!) 10.00

MOUNTAIN GOATS, the “get lonely” LP (4ad - "Get Lonely" is every bit
as assured as its predecessor, "The Sunset Tree", but the mood is
entirely different. "Sunset" chronicled the fraught, violent relationship
between John Darnielle and his stepfather and derived its power from an
unblinking exorcism of personal demons, while "Get Lonely" is the haunted
aftermath. It's a reflective, intimate record. The mood is one of
bittersweet resignation rather than cathartic release. It's a quiet triumph,
murmuring with a modest but entirely surefooted confidence.) 15.00

MUNICIPAL WASTE “hazardous mutations” lp (earache –back in stock -
Reeking of punk attitude and bursting with uptempo thrashcore enthusiasm,
Municipal Waste ride the divide between old school mosh and simple
hardcore purity with an updated take on a timeless sound. Coming on like
Dealing With It meets Spreading the Disease, the band veer between
lunatic thrash and hardcore crosover stomp. Now featuring ex-everything drum
king Dave Witte supplying the beat.) 14.00

NACHTMYSTIUM eulogy IV LP (kreation - US pressing with full color
sleeve and printed full color inners and was remastered JUST for this
release by SCOTT HULL and sounds AMAZING! One of the most important black
metal bands in the US today. For fans of LEVIATHAN, KRIEG, JUDAS
ISCARIOT, XASTHUR, and Norweigan forefathers BURZUM, DARKTHRONE SATYRICON,
etc. Features two bonus tracks not found elsewhere, live covers

swirl, and black/white two tone bleed (like mold, really cool!) 14.50

NEGATIVE APPROACH „tied down“ LP (touch & go "tied down" LP (touch & go
- A reissue of the groundbreaking and influential 1983 album from
Ohio's hardcore behemoths. Ten practically peerless tracks of mean, violent,
and explosive punk rock, featuring the hoarse, wailing vocals of Jon
Brannon, who later went on to front the Laughing Hyenas.) 12.50

NEGATIVE APPROACH „ total recall all“ 12" (fanclub – this are the
12inch and 7inch songs + 1 compilation song with all lyrics and on white

reptillian - VINYL VERSION NOW BACK IN STOCK - John Brannon's original motor
city scene killers have the last say with "ready to fight". "ready to
fight" features the first demo which features previously unreleased songs
as well as the infamous "tied down" demos.) 16.00

OREN AMBARCHI - GRAPES FROM THE ESTATE 2xLP (Southern Lord - Oren
Ambarchi's third solo project sees him reaching beyond the work for electric
guitar that he's become recognized for, expanding his palette and
taking his investigations into another sphere entirely. Grapes from the
Estate features new instrumentation (strings, tuned bells, percussion and
others that can only be guessed at), but the singular and unmistakable
influence that Ambarchi exerts on these new materials is what makes it
such an indelible work. There is a reconciliation of his love of song
based music and his determination to deal in pure sound. The result is a
work that truly eludes such arbitrary definitions. Grapes From The
Estate is an all consuming experience that draws the listener out of an
ordinary sense of time, into a world beyond it. On more than any other
release, his entire body of work to date can be experienced in a single
statement. There are the seemingly random tonal structures that are such
a large part of his vocabulary, the playfulness and humor of his
formative noise schooling, his love of free jazz, of pop music, and rhythmic
elements, perhaps subconsciously derived from his Sephardic heritage.
Another outpouring of personal, intimate and enduring music from Oren
Ambarchi.) 19.00

PELICAN „australasia“ 2xLP (interloper - Now available on colored vinyl
double LP format in a gatefold sleeve with new artwork! Successor to
the critically lauded untitled EP, Pelican's debut full-length is a
cyclical riptide of major-chord mastery and low-end triumph against which
one can only abdicate any and all tendencies to resist total immersion.)
19.00

PIG DESTROYER „painter of dead girls“ LP (a date w/ elvis - "painter of
dead girls" LP (a date w/ elvis - Sixteen ferocious tracks from
Virginia's own Pig Destroyer. Comprised of early and obscure material, all
tracks have been re-mastered, re-packaged and re-brutalized, with bonus
and more. As always, expect brutal riff upon riff overlay some of the
fastest yet most intricate and stylish drums in the grind game, all
conjoined with some of the most manic and terrifying screams ever captured by
recording implements.limited colored vinyl)

POISON IDEA „feel the darkness“ LP (farewell – the classic back in
stock) 10.00

POISON IDEA „latest will & testament“ LP (farewell – Recorded in 2005,
this is the final Poison Idea release that will feature Pig Champion
(Tom Roberts) on guitar. Pig Champion died in Janaury of 2006 shortly
after the band finished recording this LP/CD. "Latest Will And Testament"
is ten tracks of rip-snortin' punk rock as only Poison Idea can deliver
it!) 10.00

REACTIONARY 3/ TRUE NORTH split lp (tfs – two Gainesville punk rock
bands each contribute one side of a 12” of their brand of up beat punk
rock to be used as a benefit record for the wayward council collective
record/zine store in Gainesville, fl) 10.50

RED SPAROWES “every red heart…” 2xlp (robotic empire - Los Angeles' red
sparowes bypass the fabled sophomore slump with "Every Red Heart Shines
Toward The Red Sun", and it's almost as if they skipped over an entire
album with the mighty leaps and bounds they've made since "At The
Soundless Dawn" came out just the year prior. The reference points of past
are less reminiscent with the quintet's progressed sound, as there is a
definitely "darker" approach on this album. However, the intense
evoking of emotions is still accomplished through the all-instrumental
approach, with more variety and depth than ever before. US PRESSING!!!) 19.00

RED SPAROWES/ GRAILS split LP (robotic empire – restock. Having both
released epic full-lengths for Neurot Recordings, these two instrumental
groups team up for a split release courtesy of Robotic Empire. Red
Sparowes boast members of Isis and Neurosis with both bands featured here
playing a mellow, dreamy brand of rock that is always multi-layered and
innovative, bringing to mind such bands as Godspeed You Black Emperor
and Mogwai.) 13.00

SEBADOH „sebadoh vs helmet“ LP (dominio – we loved DINOSAUR JR and we
loved SEBADOH. This is the best one I know and LOU BARLOW has the best
voice you think of) 12.50

SMOG „red apple falls“ LP(drag city - smog's beautiful 1996 album
should be in any fans collection. one of his quietest most assured albums,
which although full of the usual callahan moody introspection is of of
his most accessible. highlights include the dark 'blood red bird', the
country of 'i was a stranger' and the velvets style gem 'ex-con'.
wonderful! Here is why Smog is so important in the progression of music
today: Red Apple Falls. A sad, straight-forward, black-humored collection
of Bill Callahan's greatest songs. They are obscure, etheral, thorny,
snakelike in their charm, and never cliche. Bill Callahan has more in
common with musicians like Gordon Lightfoot, Gary Neuman, and David
Bowie. Though he may not sound like them, he resonates their willingness to
go beyond. Callahan is a poet. The songs on Red Apple Falls take on a
completely subjective form. "I was a Stranger", "Blood Red Bird",
"Ex-Con", and "Red Apple Falls" are so exuberant in their imagery, yet so
dark in their sound.) 13.50

SINKING SHIPS „disconnecting“ LP (revelation - Seattles Sinking Ships
Revelation debut CD/LP, "Disconnecting", is a look at the trials and
tribulations that we go through in everyday life. Weaving elements of
melody and hard edge riffs, Sinking Ships are creating a sound all their
own, somewhere between the familiar echoes of hardcore bands such as Bane
and In My Eyes, but making their own unique, morose overtones a
distinctly new addition to this sound. Back in stock) 12.00

SOME GIRLS "Heaven's Pregnant Teens" LP (threee on G – back in stock.
Some Girls is a five-person assault out of the sleepy Navy town of San
Diego, comprised of the creme de la crass of musicians from that city's
famed hardcore/punk underground. Fronted by Give Up The Ghost and
American Nightmare's Wes Eisold, the band features a who's who of hardcore
players from The Locust, Plot To Blow Up The Eiffel Tower, Unbroken,
Over My Dead Body, Swing Kids, and Crimson Curse. This is their first
full-length; an unrelenting musical psychosis, adding new dimensions of
brutality to Some Girls' now-trademark thrash attack.) 11.50

SONS ON CYRUS „trigger happy“ LP (sounds of subterania - Brandnew album
by one of our fave bands from scandinavia!! High energy rock'n roll far
out of this planet! Produced by HELLACOPTERs CHIPS KIESBYE. Mix RADIO
BIRDMAN, 60s Garage, Great Punk'n'Roll songs, a must!) 10.00

STRIFE angermeans LP (victory – limited repress w/ screenprinted cover)
12.00

STRIKE ANYWHERE "Dead FM" LP (fat wreck - After three years of waiting,
"Dead FM" is a much-anticipated follow-up to "Exit English," with the
band taking that time to hone their skills while touring alongside bands
like Anti-Flag and Rise Against. On this recording, Richmond VA's
Strike Anywhere worked with Brian McTernan to continue their anthemic punk
rock sing-a-longs mixed with hardcore urgency and plenty of melody and
politics.) 10.50

SWARM OF THE LOTUS “the sirens of silence” lp (emetic – VINYL VERSION
NOW IN STOCK - The band signed with Abacus Recordings while in the
process of recording their new record at Godcity Studios with Kurt Ballou
(Converge) from late 2004 to early 2005. The new record, “The Sirens Of
Silence”, mastered by Alan Douches (A Life Once Lost, Burnt By The Sun),
takes the band’s penchant for avalanche-sized cacophony to a whole new
level. Revolving around such themes as the destruction of the earth and
nature, mankind’s general apathy and apocalyptic deathwish, the new
album teeters between claustrophobia and wide-open passages, allowing the
listener intimate insight into the band's dynamic and grandiose
creativity.) 11.50

SWORD, the „age of winters“ LP (kemado - Finally on vinyl! The Sword is
a colossal, high-energy powerhouse from Austin, TX. Utilizing a potent
combination of intense songwriting chemistry, eye-opening creativity
and talent and a distinctly unique vision, The Sword is, without
question, one of heavy music’s most electrifying new bands. For fans of
Mastodon, High on Fire, Black Sabbath and Sleep. Back in stock – gatefold
cover and limted. sexy) 12.50

THESE ARMS ARE SNAKES „easter“ Lp (second nature - Seattle's These Arms
Are Snakes present their second full-length for Jade Tree and the
pinnacle of a culmination of a more structured yet experimental songwriting
process for the band. Throughout this record, heavy guitars and
keyboards get thrown into punk grooves that bring to mind such ground-breaking
groups as Drive Like Jehu and The Jesus Lizard. Now available on vinyl
from Second Nature.) 12.00

TREND „navigator“ LP (sounds of subterania - - Finally a new album of
the four ex-Suedpfaelzer! The last single with the ingenious "Gott hat
keine Flugzeuge mehr" is just as represented as many other hits.
Bulkily, ruppig and nevertheless melodisch and stamping SAM, it smells to
Hamburg (Goldenen Zitronen, Blumen...) and England (Gang of Four, times
again... "Mann in Uniform", haha, very well, also in music perfect a
Hommage) and nevertheless completely own, even trombones (?) is used with
"rue love". No boring, smooth production, separate roughly and "Punk"
somehow. The texts are used like a class for itself, provided with
quotations and cross references, large cinema, thanks! Record come with 4
different coverartworks.) 10.00

TWO STAR HOTEL „same“ LP (sounds of subterania – Back in 1998, I and
Ben were touring the usa with Unhinged when, during the 36 dates we got
really sick of doing the same thing in front of same people for too
long. I told ben i'd love to do another band, playing dance music or
something completly different! When i discovered punk, it meant to me
rebellion, anti-conformism, not a particular style of music, but a state of
mind, with room for art and challenging ideas. It sounds a lot like early
GANG OF FOUR and lets move your ass) 10.00

VAGUE ANGELS „lets duke it out at..." LP (red cars goes faster - "Some
guys have their fingers in all the pies, and ex-Van Pelt, Native Nod
and The Lapse guitarist Chris Leo appears to be one of them. Vague Angels
represents but one project towards which his insatiable artistic deluge
is channeled. " "Musically, Vague Angels showcases a fresh, more
refined approach for Leo. His songwriting is direct, eradicating any
suggestions of extended collaboration despite the array of instruments bound by
Kilkenny Katz’s lush, layered production. The bouncy rhythms of 'The
Princess and the Newt' sustain melancholic sensitivity, which continue
during the course of the instrumental 'Holiday Guitar.' In the most lucid
of terms, Vague Angels is upbeat and resonates with a folky twang,
which provides an apt home for Leo’s literary quirks." -- Mike Wright,
LostAtSea.net) 10.00

WHEN TIGERS FIGHT "Ghost Story" LP (indecision – back in stock -
Boasting members of such influential bands as Damnation AD, Suicide File, The
Promise and Adamantium, When Tigers Fight present their debut full
length and second release for Indecision Records. The result of such a
volatile combination is twelve tracks of heavy, metallic groove-laden
hardcore that is sure to please fans of all of the members previous
efforts.) 12.00

WILLIAM ELLIOTT WHITMORE "Song of the Blackbird" LP (Southern - The
third in a trilogy of Southern-released albums from Iowa singer/songwriter
WILLIAM ELLIOTT WHITMORE. A beautifully dark collection of songs about
life, love, loneliness and loss, delivered with Whitmore's poignant
lyrics and timeless, smoke-and-drink soured voice.) 15.00

WINDMILLS BY THE OCEAN s/t lp (robotic empire - This recording, from
August of 2003, was recently unearthed and is finally available to the
masses. Windmills By The Ocean was a project band comprised of gentlemen
who would go on to be in Isis, Red Sparowes, and Anodyne, among others.
These men created music that combined the darkness and heaviness of
bands like Sunn and Earth with a more melodic element borrowed from Sigur
Ros. Back ins tock) 11.00

WIPERS „is this real...“ LP (their second album and I think their best
record. Ist the yellow one J ) 11.50

WOLF EYES “human animal” lp (subpop - These songs are rotten with
metal, reeds, consciousness-erasing islands of black doom, bass-heavy
rippers, late night free terror jams, and pure mayhem. The new double-bass
attack is showcased on "Human Animal"/"Rusted Mange" with scraping
strings and a full terror-shriek workout. New directions are countered by
"Rationed Rot" which revisits the eerie Throbbing Gristle-esque vocal
deployment that dates from Wolf Eyes' "Dread" LP. The album also features
the band's first cover, the No Fucker's anthem, "Noise Not Music", which
closed out a lot of shows on Wolf Eyes' recent European tour.) 15.00

WORMWOOD „starvation“ 2xLP (kreation - LTD to 1000 hand numbered
copies on three different beautiful colors of wax (green/gold, grey,
black)…Elements of doom, crust, goth, metal and prog swirled together for
something that sounds like nothing else happening right now yet subtle
comparisons to KYLESA, NEUROSIS, TARANTULA HAWK, and SKEPTICISM can be
drawn. This sweet double LP has brand new material and rerecorde versions
of older material.) 18.00

XIU XIU „the airforce“ LP (5RC - The fifth 5RC full-length release from
JAMIE STEWART and XIU XIU. A feverish and disturbing eleven-track
affair dealing in themes of human grease, bad love, suicide, rape, sex,
stormy friendships, domination, and dependency. Produced by GREG SAUNIER
(DEERHOOF), Air Force features some of the group's most accessible music
to date.) 13.00

YEAR OF NO LIGHT “nord” 2xlp (e-vinyl – year of no light consists of
slow, sludgy chord progressions, twisted dissonant riffing, noisy layers
of guitar textures, smatterings of ambient synths, and utterly
disturbing vocal snarls deep in the heart of the mix. It’s impossible not to
cite comparisons to bands like ISIS or CULT OF LUNA, as these guys would
fit in perfectly with any listener fond of that style. They are also
flirting with the likes of acts like MONO or EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY with
the way that they ebb and flow and layer in eerily melodic textures for
more emphatic force and atmosphere. Back in stock) 13.50

CD

25 TA LIFE/ IN SEARCH OF .. split CD (split CD (scorpion - New York
Hardcore mainstays 25 Ta Life need no introduction as they provide some
unreleased tracks to this split, preaching scene unity and a return to
the roots of hardcore. In Search Of come from New Jersey and lend four
tracks to this release after having only been a band only a year, but
have been able to play shows and craft their own brand of street wise
hardcore.) 9.00

BORIS “boris at last - feedbacker” cd (conspiracy) - “Feedbacker”
begins at the core, with ambient waves of Earth-like drones rippling across
an otherwise silent nine minute expanse before Atsuo spills into his
cymbals, commencing a funereal march. Bassist/vocalist Takeshi drawls up
and down his double-necked bass while Wata (the femme fatale guitarist)
curls out little tongues of blue flame. Boris is considered stoner
rock, but they are also hailed under the noise-rock genre for their
collaborative efforts with noise groups such as Merzbow and Keiji Haino.)
13.50

CARLISLE "This Means Everything to Me" Discography CD (ifb records -
Carlisle has been one of my favorite bands for about 10 years now, and
this discography is the culmination of 2 years of working with the band
to make something special. Carlisle was one of the great Florida screamo
bands from the mid-late 90's, combining thick, melodic, and very catchy
music with passionate hair raising screamed vocals. They pioneered the
sound and no one has done it better since. This discography has both
7"s, comp. songs, and demo, plus 13 new or unreleased songs, most of
which were recorded just for this project. The new stuff is just as
passionate and great as the old stuff. I released this to preserve the music
of an amazing band, and I hope others share the feeling I always got
from listening to these dudes. The packaging is made of recycled paper
digipacks, with all the images being handstamped, with a booklet with all
kinds of good info.) 9.00

GOOD CLEAN FUN „between christian rock abd a hard place“ CD
(refelections – their new album. Ist all about being positive. Yep) 11.50

HIDDEN HAND, the "devoid of colour" CD + DVD (southern lord - Lo and
behold this amazing dualdisc CD/DVD, collecting Wino et al's five new
songs and a treasure trove of unseen live and studio footage! Limited to
3000 worldwide.) 16.00

HOPE COLLAPSE „year of the leper“ CD (inkblot – this band features Dave
Witte on drums. What do you wanna know more about that band?! This
discordance axis burnt by the sun – this band is killer and I think their
last release on a small label ... CD ONLY by the way) 7.50

JIYUANA The Devil Is Waiting…CD (diy - Passionate DIY screamy hardcore
using intricate structure that weave melodic and heavy parts together.
Influences are drawn from classic screamo like Early Grace and Frail to
more modern driving stuff like Envy or French hardcore. Political and
personal lyrics. DIY packaging with hand screened covers and die cut
covers) 8.00

LVMEN - An Anthology Of Previously Released Songs CD (day after -
Anniversary catalog numbers tempt to make anniversary releases. We were
getting a lot of request about Lvmen 12" repress and its possible CD issue
and thats where our thoughts about Lvmen anthology CD began. Things
accelerated when Lvmen got back together and after we ran out of the
"Raison d'etre" CD's (one of our biggest backcatalog sellers), we were set.
It's unbelieve how the band managed to achieve such a large and loyal
following - after all they left us with just 7 recorded songs and there
was 4 years break between their new chapter. More than that, they
anyhow managed to draw new people interested in their music and visual art,
which is something most
of the bands can only dream. It's fair to say they probably owe part to
later bands like Isis or Red Sparowes who made similar sound so popular
lately.) 9.50

LVMEN – Mondo CD (day after – their new album. Haven´t listen to it.
But it looks beautiful with emboried covers – LP version later this
month) 12.00

MASTODON „blood mountain“ CD (reprise records – Mastodon continue to
perfect their craft on their third full-length and first for a major.
"Blood Mountain" continues where "Leviathan" left off, with pummeling
drums, technical guitars and varied vocals over 12 songs, creating some of
the most innovative metal heard in recent years.) 14.50

MASTODON “blood mountain“ CD + DVD ltd (reprise - Mastodon continue to
perfect their craft on their third full-length and first for a major.
"Blood Mountain" continues where "Leviathan" left off, with pummeling
drums, technical guitars and varied vocals over 12 songs, creating some
of the most innovative metal heard in recent years. This version comes
with a DVD that features a "making of the album" portion as well as a
photo gallery depicting the band in the recording process as well as a
music video for "Capillarian Crest".) 20.00

RED SPAROWES "Every Red Heart Shines Toward The Red Sun" CD (neurot -
Fresh off the release of splits with Grails and Gregor Samsa, Red
Sparowes present their second full-length. The sound is purely instrumental,
mixing the heaviness of Isis, a band with which Red Sparowes share
members, and the instrumentation of Godspeed You Black Emperor and Mogwai.)
16.00

RED SPAROWES / GREGOR SAMSA split CD (robotic empire - RED SPAROWES
return with another amazing record, this time being joined by GREGOR
SAMSA for this split CD release. Richmond, VA's GREGOR SAMSA shine bright
here with two tracks of serene and dark ambient/rock music. Haunting and
beautifully sung male and female vocals intertwine with atmospheric
guitars, keys and string arrangements. One of their two tracks is a
preview for their 55:12 full-length album, and the other is exclusive to this
release. Los Angeles, CA's RED SPAROWES deliver two phenomenal tracks
of their moving and intense instrumental creations. One exclusive new
track is joined by a phenomenal demo version of a song found on their "At
The Soundless Dawn" debut... and with members of ISIS and NEUROSIS
behind this ship, RED SPAROWES continue to steer into amazing directions.
In fact, both bands harken back to the glory days of shoegazing's past
without compromising their modern spin on powerful and innovative
independent music.) 12.50

SINKING SHIPS „disconnecting“ CD (revelation - Seattles Sinking Ships
Revelation debut CD/LP, "Disconnecting", is a look at the trials and
tribulations that we go through in everyday life. Weaving elements of
melody and hard edge riffs, Sinking Ships are creating a sound all their
own, somewhere between the familiar echoes of hardcore bands such as Bane

like Anti-Flag and Rise Against. On this recording, Richmond VA's
Strike Anywhere worked with Brian McTernan to continue their anthemic punk
rock sing-a-longs mixed with hardcore urgency and plenty of melody and

World/Inferno Friendship Society, The "Red-Eyed Soul" CD (chunksaw -
"Red-Eyed Soul" is fifteen songs by NYC's original international
punk-rock orchestra of elegant and angry gentlemen and ladies, produced by
hardcore legend Don Fury and released by New Jersey pioneer punk-rock label
Chunksaah! The piano croons, the guitars shout, the drummers threaten,
saxophones rip you from where you are tied to the mast, the accordion
just stole your wallet, the string section is whispering in your ear,
"don't be a jerk", and boys and girls are singing in harmony "only
anarchists are... pretty!") 12.50

XASTHUR - SUBLIMINAL CD (hydra head - As one of the most innovative
black metal practitioners in the isolationist sub-underground, Xasthur has
crafted some of the most mesmerizing and significant music of the last
decade, regardless of genre. Subliminal Genocide adheres to the sonic
and lyrics principles of malevolence contained in Xasthur’s past work,
but further develops the use space and atmosphere.) 13.00

YOUNG WIDOWS "Settle Down City" CD (JADE TREE - The three members of
Young Widows emerged from the dissolution of Breather Resist with a new
vision steeped in dark, brooding grooves and moody post-punk. From the
reverb-drenched inspiration of Regulator Watts/Hoover to the bass and
drums lock-groove perfected by Shellac and The Jesus Lizard, Young
Widows gladly wears it's influences on it's sleeve. The signature inventive
guitar work of Evan Patterson (Breather Resist, Black Cross, The
National Acrobat) is intact and at its peak here, while the rhythm section
lays down syrup-thick grooves, recalling Pacific Northwest heavyweights
(think Melvins, Karp, even Nirvana) and British post-punk, ala Gang Of
Four. "Settle Down City" contains 11 songs of rocksolid, grooving,
hypnotic, heavy, noise-rock anthems. This is a new band, a new sound, a new
idea.) 13.50

DVD

ISIS „clearing the eye“ DVD (ipecac - Ipecac Recordings presents the

and extensive liner notes.) 18.50

V/A "The Fest 3" DVD (no idea - The Fest is an annual fest held in
Gainesville, FL by the folks at No Idea Records and gathers one of the most
diverse bills in the country. This DVD captures 2004's fest and is
arguable the best lineup in its history. Captured on here are 64 songs from

Water Music, Planes Mistaken For Stars, Lucero, The Blood Brothers, Circle
Takes The Square, Mates Of State, The Holy Mountain, Engine Down, This

V/A "Burn To Shine 3" DVD (trixie - Produced by Fugazi's Brendan
Canty, the "Burn To Shine" DVD series this time heads to Portland, where
before a house got burned to the ground, bands like The Thermals,
Sleater-Kinney, The Shins, The Decemberists, The Gossip and more played and
recorded, with each contributing one song from that session to this
release. The climax of this DVD is the fire department setting fire to the
house set to an original score by Canty.) 14.00
