ARKANGEL - Im Mai 2012 in Europa unterwegs

"Even if the band exists for 13 years now, it seems to be the beginning of a long and immortal decade, of total war against all, through music and lyrics. With a first MCD "Prayers upon deaf ears" (RPP 1998) and a full CD "Dead Man Walking" (GLR 1999) Arkangel have gained popularity in Europe, The United States and other countries. Their music which is undeniably metal, influenced by HC, acquired a lot of originality but also Arkangels's singer Baldur got a determinant role with his vocals attaining a supreme level of brutality. In 2001, they played at the Hellfest in Syracuse US followed by more shows in Canada. Over 2002/2003 the band played shows all over Europe. In August 2004, Arkangel recorded their second full album with the help of Koen De Boeve who produced their first MCD. 'Hope you die by overdose' came out on a label created by the band: PRIVATE HELL RECORDS. Right after the release, Arkangel started to play shows in Belgium, Holland, France, UK and got the opportunity to play in Japan at the first edition of 'Independence-D' festival together with bands such as The Misfits, The Dillinger Escape Plan and The Red Chord.... Back from Japan, they continued their invasion playing all over Europe including countries such as Portugal, Poland where after so many years of existence they played for the first time. During this intense period of shows, festivals and tours the band continued writing new songs and ask ROUR (ex-ES LA GUERILLA/HANGMAN'S CHAIR) to join the band as second guitar player. 2008 their next album was finally recorded, mixed by Dirk Miers and mastered by Alan Douches from westwestside studio (...mastodon, dillinger escape plan,converge...)."
