Die französische Post Hardcore Band DOYLE wird fortan als DOYLE AIRENCE weiter machen. Die Umbenennung hatte rechtliche Hintergründe.
Lifeforce Records kommentieren:
"We've been dealing with serious juridical issues these past few weeks, as Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein (ex-Misfits), who trademarked the name DOYLE during 2012, requested the whole proprietary rights over the commercial use of the name "DOYLE".
As a band releasing a brand new album in a couple of months, and living this journey alongside highly involved people such as label-persons and various co-workers, we strongly wanted to avoid the possibility of a lawsuit coming from the U.S. The band therefore decided to rename themselves to "DOYLE AIRENCE".
This name change is the result of a long negotiation, and the only way for them to keep their projects and artistic freedom unaffected."
