Die Band kommentiert die anstehende Veröffentlichung so:
The record we spent the last year and a half or so writing, amending, correcting, and losing precious sleep and sanity over has a title, has a track list, and has (finally) a release date. It also has a "single" and a cover. (single?)

First things first, the record is called Wildlife which comes partially from a lyric in one of the songs but really serves as a much broader blanket for the themes and concepts present in the record as a whole (in kind of the same way that Somewhere… showed up in "Said the King to the River" but still served as a statement on the entire record thematically, but also in a different way, because they're different records). Two of those themes are loss and coping with that loss, but there's a lot more to it, and I don't want to spoil it all now so I won't go too far into detail. The only other thing worth pointing out thematically at this present juncture is that there are two things going on-two different narratives, maybe-throughout the entire album. Kind of like if an author wrote a book of stories/poems about situations that don't necessarily involve him (at least not as the principle character) and then annotated those stories in the kind of tone you'd use when explaining something personal to a friend. Something like that.
