Hier die Pressemeldung:

"Everyone at LET IT BURN RECORDS is pretty psyched to welcome SHINTO KATANA to the label roster! THE most promising new band coming from Australia, the remote continent that already brought us amazing bands such als Parkway Drive, Deez Nuts or I Killed The Prom Queen.

SHINTO KATANA's new album "Redemption" will be released on LET IT BURN RECORDS (cd) and ACUITY.MUSIC (Digital Download) in Europe on August 17. "Redemption" has been recorded by producer Shane Edwards at Electric Sun Studios in Sydney (Thy Art Is Murder, Northlane, Dream On Dreamer) and features guest performances by Frankie Palmeri of Emmure and Jonathan Blake of On Broken Wings.

Having toured with Emmure, Shai Hulud, Deez Nuts and For The Fallen Dreams, SHINTO KATANA forged their very own stamping of modern metalcore, heavy as fuck and adamantly tight. "Redemption" is exactly how this genre should sound like in 2012. "
Hier eine Bandinfo:
"Sydney based wrecking ball Shinto Katana are devastating, with a sound heavier than all and the live experience to back it up. Shinto Katana aren't a band that is easily ignored, they come at your senses like a sledgehammer, you will take notice.

Having formed midway through the last decade, they have spent their time honing their craft, doing the hard yards and winning over audiences one show at a time. From humble beginnings in the west Sydney metalcore scene to being the most promising Australian heavy bands in years, Shinto Katana have shared stages on tours with bands like Emmure, Shai Hulud, The Red Shore and Deez Nuts and supporting the likes of Stick To Your Guns, Darkest Hour and First Blood.

Having released two full length albums, 2008's much loved "Cold Streets" and 2010's more metallic sophomore release "We Can't Be Saved," Shinto Katana will return to the studio in 2011 to release a third full length that they describe as combining the best elements of all they have written before. With new track Ghost spreading like wildfire, its evident that they are making good on their promise. If you were a fan of anything Shinto Katana has done before, its time to get excited again.

With a full length album on the horizon, 2012 is shaping up to be Shinto Katana's biggest year to date and one which should see their name on the tip of everyone's tongues."
