-----------------------------------------------------------
AFTER THE BOMBS - Relentless onslaught MCD 8.50 EUR
CRUST-CORE. Montreal’s AFTER THE BOMBS hugely anticipated first full-length. 5 tracks of epic late 80’s style crust-metal anthems. AFTER THE BOMBS sound mixes DISCHARGE styled punk with metal/crust in the vain of SACRILEGE, ANTISECT, AXEGRINDER. Punk enough for the punks metal enough for the metal heads. A top notch recording with a dark and evil feel. Heavy guitars, pummeling drums, blazing solos, with raging reverb saturated female vocals comparable to SACRILEDGE, a truly epic record. CD version has the "Terminal filth stench bastard" EP as bonus tracks. (2008/TOTAL END)
-----------------------------------------------------------
AFTER THE BOMBS - Spoils of war 7'' 3.90 EUR
CRUST-CORE. A 3 track EP from Montreal’s AFTER THE BOMBS. Once again, combine the best of classic DISCHARGE style punk and SACRILEGE era of thrashy punk, with lots of metal hooks and Jannick’s defiantly strong female vocals. Two full on fast ragers with blazing solos and a BATHORY cover. Another solid release by this band. The cover was drawn by Rat Grinder a talented up an coming punk artist. (2008/TOTAL END)
-----------------------------------------------------------
ALWAYS & FOREVER - The blackest MCD 6.90 EUR
METALCORE. New Hampshire locals ALWAYS & FOREVER play a thunderous mix of PANTERA-styled groove and metallic hardcore with a Southern flavor, not unlike MAYLENE AND THE SONS OF DISASTER or heavier acts like NORMA JEAN or the BLACK DAHLIA MURDER. (2008/HOTFOOT)
-----------------------------------------------------------
ANIMALE - Powers that be CD 8.50 EUR
HARDCORE-PUNK. This debut from Brooklyn NY's hardcore punk band shows these guys combine the rawness and power of the old-school with new and innovative riffs of the future. The songs are high energy with brutal guitars, spastic drumming and rhythmic melodic vocals. Lyrical content deals with everything from the post 911 world we are forced to live in today, to serial killers to DIY sex changes. Features ex-members of MOLOTOV COCKTAIL, STOCKYARD STOICS, TODAY IS THE DAY, The BASICKS, and DISASSOCIATE. ANIMALE has played with well-known bands such as MURPHY'S LAW, THE CASUALTIES, and REAGAN YOUTH and they are often compared to MOTÖRHEAD, MINOR THREAT and MISFITS. (2008/DYNAMITE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
ANNIHILATION TIME - Incomplete discography CD 8.50 EUR
HARDCORE. The ANNIHILATION TIME "Incomplete discography" combines the original mastering of the "II" full-length, the "Cosmic unconsciousness" EP, the "Bad reputation" EP and one previously unreleased bonus track, total 19 songs. It was put together and released by the boys themselves. (2008/DIY)
-----------------------------------------------------------
BAUMER - And were it not for you CD 11.50 EUR
EMO-POP. The sophomore release from South Carolina's BAUMER is not just an album filled with catchy power-pop anthems. "And were it not for you" delivers a collage of tastefully merged electronic rhythms with massive washing guitars forming a collection of 11 addictive tracks. The first single, “In your stead”, takes you from a catchy minimalist toe-tapping beat to a musical wall of sound within 36 seconds flat. (2008/EYEBALL)
-----------------------------------------------------------
BILLY BAO - Dialectics of shit LP 9.90 EUR
PUNKROCK. Parts Unknown is proud to present the first full-length offering from BILLY BAO. Born and raised on the unstable streets of Lagos, Nigeria before relocating to the alleyways of a then-recently freed Bilboa, Spain, BILLY BAO is a rough, dangerous, borderline example of society’s woes turned against itself, of cultural repression made flesh, as it foments into a madness both gleeful and destructive. Befriended by world-renowned noise guitarist Mattin, the two men formed a personal alliance through the community of punk rock and the blunt-force politics therein. Every musical action BILLY BAO makes is a statement of political and personal intent, of the persecution that boils within him, and yet, across his previous releases (a self-titled CDEP and the Bilbo’s Incinerator 7", both released by Mattin, and the more recent ''Fuck Separation'' 10" on the S-S label), any notions of political punk rock of the tired, insipid Anglicized version are brutally choked out. Mattin’s musical backdrops swing with the force of BILLY BAO’s vocal delivery to rattling, devastating effect. "Dialectics of shit" screams freedom; freedom from presumptions, form, and safety. Its 10 tracks bludgeon wantonly with black metallic ferox, industrial rhythm jackhammering and a gauntlet of free-swinging riffs designed to mash ears into the asphalt. With this record, the directions hinted at in BILLY BAO’s earlier works are given new purpose, let loose to manipulate any expectations brought in with the listener. Touchpoints for this sound would include the nihilistic pummel of the BRAINBOMBS, the feral howl of early NIRVANA, and the aluminum baseball bat dunt of New Zealand post-punkers THE GORDONS, crossed up with an experimental fuckery akin to Japanese mentalists THE HANATARASH. Tracks bounce between left channel and right and skip audaciously in the grooves, but mainly serve to force perspectives, until every head is met eye to eye with his churning, bloodshot worldview. (2008/PARTS UNKNOWN)
-----------------------------------------------------------
BLACK TUSK - Passage through purgatory LPcol 10.50 EUR
METAL/THRASH. Debut full-length from Savannah's swamp metal trio, BLACK TUSK. With a triple vocal attack and a sound alternating between sludgy, heavy Southern rock tinged crust and breakneck blasts harkening back to the skaterock crossover bands of the '80s, the TUSK contribute their own take on the full bore, brutal sound Savannah bands are known for. Produced by Phillip Cope (KYLESIA). Cover art by John Baizley. The CD version has an extra track and a bonus DVD. (2008/HYPERREALIST)
-----------------------------------------------------------
BLEEDING THROUGH - The truth LP 14.90 EUR
METALCORE. The vinyl version contains one previously unreleased bonus track! The pain, frustration, and despair of the preyed upon and forgotten have been fashioned into a sharpened point on BLEEDING THROUGH's landmark new album, "The Truth." Skeletons come forth from the closet, secrets are revealed, and broken promises arise from dirtied earth. Faster, yet more melodic, heavier, yet more accomplished, more precise while even further off the deep-end into tragedy and loneliness, "The Truth" is a trend-proof middle finger toward the glut of over-saturation that threatens to destroy a scene this band helped to build. "The Truth" is the band's defining album. Stripped to their core, laid bare, like the artwork suggests -- putting everything on the table with such naked honesty and painful catharsis their bodies threatened to fall apart from the weight of the boiling passion they've laid to record. There are leaders and there are followers. When all of the so-called movements in underground music catching the "buzz" right now are over, expect to see BLEEDING THROUGH standing tall, with integrity, honor, and spirit intact. To the victor the spoils! (2008/FORSAKEN)
-----------------------------------------------------------
BRAINWORMS / DYNAMITE ARROWS - Split 7col'' 3.50 EUR
HARDCORE/PUNK. Richmond's BRAINWORMS and Brooklyn's DYNAMITE ARROWS team up together for this raging record. BRAINWORMS bring forth 2 new songs recorded at Minimum Wage the same time as last year's split with the CATALYST. The tracks are arguably the bands most technically and interesting work yet. DYNAMITE ARROWS drop two bomb east bay style pop punk tracks on this record. They have been rippin' it up in Brooklyn for some time now playing some of the catchiest pop punk that you can point a beer in the
air to. (2008/RORSHACH)
-----------------------------------------------------------
BURDEN OF A DAY - Blessed be our ever after CD 12.50 EUR
POST-HARDCORE. Formed in January of 2004, they’ve fast developed a natural chemistry, allowing them to constantly evolve as musicians, aiming beyond the simple, straight-forward songwriting that plagues a lot of bands in their genre. Genre is a bit of a tricky subject... When asked, they’d probably tell you Post Hardcore/ Screamo or something along those lines. Although watching them play, one might be prone to question the ‘Post’ part of that description. Heartfelt and melodic, and not afraid to throw in a breakdown or two, which is more than occasionally. Influences include the likes of THRICE, The BLED, REFUSED, THURSDAY, ALL THAT REMAINS, and many more. While staying true to the music they love and grew up with, BURDEN OF A DAY is ready and able to progress forward and pass the message on to the next generation. (2008/RISE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
CONCRETE FACELIFT / MOTHERSPEED - Split 7''col 3.90 EUR
HARDCORE. Fast, faster, the fastest ...... and raw as hell! CONCRETE FACELIFT comes thrashing your shoes off! Telling you all about their beliefs and trying to keep afloat in this crazy fast paced world without a life preserve. Then MOTHERSPEED steps up, rips your socks off, and leaves you barefoot in vomit. With songs about personal politics and a journey far, far away to skate or die! ........ these two bands shred together! (2008/PARTY TIME)
-----------------------------------------------------------
CONCRETE FACELIFT / RETARD STRENGTH - Split 7'' 3.90 EUR
HARDCORE. Philly shreds again! RETARD STRENGTH's debut release, keeping underground music alive, with 6 instant hardcore classics. CONCRETE FACELIFT keeps the kids circling in the basement, with their 6th intense release, including the origional version of their anthem "Party time!" (2008/PARTY TIME)
-----------------------------------------------------------
CONDOMINIUM - Hello tomorrow 7'' 3.90 EUR
HARDCORE. Feedback-ridden hardcore from Saint Paul, Minnesota featuring ex-members of THE FORMALDEHYDE JUNKIES and LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT. This record has 4 memorable ragers with tortured vocals. You can definitely draw the FJ's comparison, though this is darker and a little more hardcore than that band ever got. A ripping single nonetheless. Self released with hand-stamped picture sleeve. (2008/DIY)
-----------------------------------------------------------
COPYRIGHTS, THE - Learn the hard way CD 11.90 EUR
PUNK. Illinois' young COPYRIGHTS have hit a prolific streak of creativity as of late. Two records in as many years for Red Scare, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Produced at Sonic Iguana, their latest offering to the punk scene, "Learn the hard way", comes gift-wrapped with buzzy guitars, upbeat rhythms, and the catchiest melodies in town. Fans of DILLINGER FOUR, SCREECHING WEASEL, and The LAWRENCE ARMS will especially enjoy this new release. It's Midwest punk at it's finest: smart and catchy. (2008/RED SCARE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
CRIME DESIRE - Nadir 7'' 4.50 EUR
HARDCORE. With a new LP just on the horizon, CRIME DESIRE wets the record nerd’s collective palate with "Nadir" b/w the exclusive track "Loathsome ones" on a teaser single limited to 200 copies. These 2 tracks mark a distinctively darker sound for the band, "Nadir" being a plodding anti-cultural diatribe, while the flip snarls and sludges along in all its reverbed out glory. You might be reminded of anyone from AMEBIX to SAMHAIN, but you certainly won’t walk away feeling stoked on life. As is the case with the last two singles the band has done, these will go fast and won’t be repressed, so don’t blow it. (2008/LIFE'S A RAPE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
DOWNPRESSER - Perverted justice MLPcol 10.50 EUR
HARDCORE. DOWNPRESSER have been establishing themselves in their hometown of Santa Barbara, CA and LA by playing locally with bands like DOWN TO NOTHING, VIOLATION and VENDETTA and bring a heavier hardcore vibe not unlike BLACKLISTED, COLD WORLD and GUNS UP. (2008/STREETCLEANER)
-----------------------------------------------------------
DRY-ROT - 3 Records on 1 CD CD 8.50 EUR
HARDCORE. Compiled here are the three releases to date from Southern Cali based DRY-ROT. On there first 7" there were compared to the like of DIE KREUZEN, VOID, and UNITED MUTATION, but they threw a total wrench in the works by releasing a follow-up that sounded more like the soundtrack of Twin Peaks or some other David Lynch creep fest. They followed this with a 7" on Painkiller Records, that touched on the theme of human enslavement, based on the real life exploits of a sadist scum monger from out West. As an added bonus a few live jams are thrown on the end. A great way to get glimpse of the band and a nice primer for there debut full length which is in the works and slated for late '08. (2008/PARTS UNKNOWN)
-----------------------------------------------------------
ED GEIN - Judas, goats & dieseleaters LP 11.50 EUR
GRINDCORE/THRASH-METAL. After over a year of waiting the 12" version of ED GEIN's breakthrough full-length debut album is available! Pressed onto fancy 180 gram vinyl, and in 3 different wacky colors, this record will see the light of day with brand-spanking new artwork courtesy of Jeremy Forson. This is the best thing going in grind-punk mayhem from this Syracuse politically-charged 3-piece. ED GEIN is fast, feral, and furious. Total insanity and politically/socially fueled lyrics accompanied by a mix of tech-metal, grindcore, and metalcore named after a serial killer. (2008/HANGING LIKE A HEX)
-----------------------------------------------------------
ENDSTAND - 1996 to 2003 DoCD 11.50 EUR
NEW-SCHOOL HARDCORE. The ENDSTAND 2xCD is finally here! This thing includes loads of stuff that has been out of print for years now, including vinyl-only releases, split-releases, EPs and their great debut album "To whom it may concern", originally released on Impression Recordings in 1999 and only 1000 pressed! 44 songs and a must have for fans! (2008/COMBAT ROCK INDUSTRY)
-----------------------------------------------------------
ENVY - A dead sinking story DoLP/CD 15.90/11.90 EUR
HARDCORE. Celebrating the release of their new EP "Abyssal" and in conjunction with their forthcoming North American tour, Temporary Residence is proud to re-introduce Envy's breakthrough third album, originally released in 2003 on Level Plane Records, now repackaged and re-mastered. "A dead sinking story" is widely regarded as an innovative high water mark for hardcore. (2008/TEMPORARY RESIDENCE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
FIGHT AMP - Hungry for nothing CD 12.50 EUR
HARDCORE-PUNK. "Hungry for nothing" is the debut full-length from New Jersey's FIGHT AMP (formerly known as FIGHT AMPUTATION) on Translation Loss, and this is definitely the band's finest work to date. Everything's really falling into place now, from the killer recording and the tightness of the performances, to the balance of styles and influences and the way everything meshes together within compact timeframes. Whereas they started out with a lot of obvious HIS HERO IS GONE types of influences, now all of those reference points are much more general, and they're coming into their own by diversifying quite a bit - but without losing a sense of cohesion or anything like that. They still possess that dark kind of hardcore/punk undercurrent, with a gruff multi-vocal attack and some chugging rhythms and massive, plodding basslines, but then there are also some dissonant post-hardcore types of textures and noisier Amphetamine Reptile types of twists and turns that come as a little more of a surprise, while still blending perfectly with the general landscape of what's going on here. Great artwork, too. Good stuff all around! (2008/TRANSLATION LOSS)
-----------------------------------------------------------
FLOGGING MOLLY - Float LP/DigiCD 13.50/13.50 EUR
PUNKROCK. Recorded in singer Dave King's native Ireland, "Float" delivers another slab of hard charging tunes of Celtic-meets-punk rock sound and energy that has taken the band to incredible heights since the release of 2004's "Within a mile of home." (2008/SIDE ONE DUMMY)
-----------------------------------------------------------
GAS - 1982 to 1986 LP 10.90 EUR
HARDCORE. Partners in Crime are roaring back from a long break with a great re-issue of the legendary 80's cult band GAS from Hiroshima, Japan. 20 classic tracks from that proto era of Japanese hardcore - combining the quick attack of STALIN but starting to incorporate some of the more progressive and metallic influences of later Japanese hardcore. This is the first time a lot of the material appears on hard vinyl (being previously on now super collectable flexis), some live sound board tracks. (2008/PARTNERS IN CRIME)
-----------------------------------------------------------
GENGHIS TRON - Board up the house CD 13.50 EUR
POST-HARDCORE. On GENGHIS TRON's vivid palette of sound and texture, giant riffs and frenetic beats make perfect sense next to haunting vocal melodies and moments of subtle beauty. The bands long-awaited Relapse debut "Board up the house" spills over with 11 tracks combining the extremes of modern rock music into a totally unique, completely unforgettable album experience unlike any other. For fans of BLOOD BROTHERS, DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, The LOCUST or MELT BANANA. (2008/RELAPSE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
GET RAD / CALL ME LIGHTNING - Split 7''col 4.90 EUR
PUNKROCK. The reigning kings of Milwaukee - if not Wisconsin - underground music team up for an empire-sharing 7" of epic proportions. Both bands enter battle armed with each other's songs. In other words, this 7" sees GET RAD covering CALL ME LIGHTNING and CALL ME LIGHTNING covering GET RAD. GET RAD plays thrashed-out fun punk rock and features former and current members of SEVEN DAYS OF SAMSARA, KUNGFU RICK, TEXTBOOK TRAITORS, HIGH ON CRIME and others. More skate than thrash and more punk than rock, GET RAD's name alone pretty much sums it all up. CALL ME LIGHTNING brings a high-energy sassy rock-and-roll-meets-punk experimenting to the flip side of the record. Think early ROLLING STONES, TALKING HEADS and KILLING JOKE, toss in some punk sensibility and you've pretty much got it. (2008/SCENESTER CREDENTIALS)
-----------------------------------------------------------
HOLD, THE - Need LP 10.50 EUR
HARDCORE. The HOLD hail from Canada and formed in 2006. After several demos this is their debut record. Raw sounding early '80s hardcore in the vein of early MEATMEN or BLACK FLAG. Authentic and original sounding. This record is limited to 400 copies with 10 originals on the side A and an awesome silkscreened artwork on side B. (2008/COALITION)
-----------------------------------------------------------
JAKARTAH - In the nervous lights of coincidence CD 11.90 EUR
EMOCORE. Like a staggering monument built to honor the gods of ISIS, THESE ARMS ARE SNAKES and FUGAZI, JAKARTAH formed from the wreckage of broken lives and broken promises. From a city as famous for its heroine as its salmon, Vancouver, BC, "In the nervous lights of coincidence" shockingly sits comfortably beside the great indie-hardcore records of the past 20 years. Mastered in the world famous Red Room in Seattle, WA by THESE ARMS ARE SNAKES drummer Chris Common, JAKARTAH sounds immediately familiar and new, hopeful and desolate; dishonest and truthful. (2008/TORQUE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
JAVELINA - Same CD 12.50 EUR
Featuring members of Philadelphia's LICKGOLDENSKY, JAVELINA's sound embodies the massive, sludgy nature of BUZZOVEN and EYEHATEGOD with the raw punk intensity of HIS HERO IS GONE and the straightforward nature of HIGH ON FIRE all wrapped up into one. (2008/TRANSLATION LOSS)
-----------------------------------------------------------
JONAH VEIL, THE - The end of a burden MCD 7.50 EUR
METALCORE. The Jonah Veil's beautifully brutal style of songwriting offers a different sound than most. With influences such as MISERY SIGNALS, MEANS, A DAY TO REMEMBER and VANNA, this dedicated group will continue to step up to the plate armed with musicianship, technicality and an intense live performance that's not to be missed. (2008/13 STAR)
-----------------------------------------------------------
LOSER LIFE - My hell MLP 9.90 EUR
HARDCORE-PUNK. On "My hell," the follow up to 2007’s "I have ghosts…", LOSER LIFE blasts through 5 tracks of melodic hardcore punk a la NAKED RAYGUN, ARTICELES OF FAITH, LEATHERFACE, etc. After a handful of EPs and a few thousand miles worth of touring, it is clear that LOSER LIFE have mastered their Chicago meets DC by way of Bakersfield sound, and the 45 rpm 12" format evokes the same sense of urgency found in the '80s HC bands LOSER LIFE has so closely studied. With lyrics focusing on disconnection and the inability to function properly in a relationship without falling into the realm of self pity, "My hell" is perfect punk music for when the skies are cloudy and gray! (2008/LIFE'S A RAPE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
MASSHYSTERI - Same 7'' 4.50 EUR
PUNK. After the break-up of VICIOUS, here's the new band of these Umea kids. MASSHYSTERI starts off where The VICIOUS ended. Andre had other commitments, and a few instrument shuffles later the band records their first release as a new outfit. The songs are all in Swedish, Sara now also sings, and it's the best of the band's releases. (2008/FERAL WARD)
-----------------------------------------------------------
ME FIRST & THE GIMME GIMMES - Jerry 7''col 4.50 EUR
COUNTRY-PUNK. The fifth of five limited edition releases from the “Square Dance Series” country 7” collection. This time, it's all about Mr. JERRY REED. Limited edition on yellow vinyl. (2008/FAT WRECK)
-----------------------------------------------------------
MORNING LIGHT - The sounds of love MCD 8.50 EUR
EMO/INDIE. The MORNING LIGHT is a conscious effort to create music worthy of musical enjoyment to the fullest extent; a pilgrimage through the highest marks of good vibes; and a truthful representation of life translated into chords and melodies for your own interpretation. This Pittsburgh band has toured with ALL TIME LOW, THE CAB, and JUST SURRENDER. (2008/FEARLESS)
-----------------------------------------------------------
MOUNT LOGAN - Same LP 9.90 EUR
POST-HARDCORE. Two monumental songs, mastered by James Plotkin ( KHANATE, PHANTOMSMASHER). the most hopeless and destructive Doom/ Drone you’ve ever heard. These three guys from Würzburg/Germany mix the destructive atmosphere created by bands such as GRIEF with the monotonous elements used by EARTH! They somehow remind me of SWITCHBLADE as well, but more brutal ! There must be a fucking desert in Würzburg... a desert where the sun never rises but the soil is cooking... Join these three doom-punks on the ride to the light we will never see and let them break some of your bones. (2008/VENDETTA)
-----------------------------------------------------------
NASUM - Doombringer LPcol/DigiCD 13.50/13.50 EUR
GRINDCORE. NASUM was the undisputed leader of grindcore's second wave and nothing proves this more than "Doombringer"; a blistering 25 minute live set of untapped rage recorded in Osaka, Japan on the bands final Japanese tour. "Doombringer" proves why NASUM set the standard for grindcore in the 21st century. (2008/RELAPSE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
NOMEANSNO - 0+2=1 DoLP 15.90 EUR
JAZZ-PUNK. NOMEANSNO have been abrading delicate ears with their complex rhythm-heavy funk-punk and promulgating leftist social commentary across North America since 1980. Say the band....... "0+2=1, that strange equation that never seems to add up, unlike those units flying out the door back in the day! Oh those rosy days in mid July, 1991. The last hurray for guitarist Andy Kerr, etching the schecter into what would be his final NOMEANSNO release. What would be a turning point is punctuated here with an unconcluded vision of a world not understood. A rockin' vision that is, balls to the walls baby! OWWW!!! Remastered and "edgy", this blast from our past couldn't have come at a more convenient time...for us". - John Wright, NMN (2008/WRONG)
-----------------------------------------------------------
NOMEANSNO - Small parts isolated and destroyed DoLP 15.90 EUR
JAZZ-HARDCORE. NOMEANSNO forming in 1979 with brothers Rob (bass and vocals) and John Wright (drums, keyboards and vocals) they made their first recordings in their parents' basement. Musically their influences originated from jazz and prog-rock as much as from punk - which their music is often labeled. "Small parts isolated and destroyed" was their third full-length released in 1988. These recordings show NMN at the height of their creativity and their early obsession with social order in its many strands. The band's trademark genre-defiance is in full effect, with blistering punk/hardcore tracks like "Dead souls" and "Teresa give me that knife" to the long, noisy jazzcore of "Small parts isolated and destroyed" and the amazing "Brother Rat/What Slayde Says", the latter functioning almost like a spoken word piece. Wrong Records finally bring us this classic album in all its glory. (2008/WRONG)
-----------------------------------------------------------
OCEANA - The tide CD 12.50 EUR
POST-HARDCORE. Word of mouth is still the most sought after marketing tool for any record label. Rise was lucky enough to hear OCEANA early on and signed the band immediately. Their ages range from 17-19, a truly talented band with an extremely bright future. Their buzz is organic….something that can’t be bought. What they have is something special. "The tide", was produced and mixed by James Paul Wisner (DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL, NEW FOUND GLORY and PARAMORE) and Cameron Mizell. They successfully captured the band in their finest hour. Not your typical screamo band, they have more to offer. With atmospheric guitars and dramatic song writing, OCEANA delivers an amazing debut record. For fans of DEVIL WEARS PRADA, SILVERSTEIN or UNDEROATH. (2008/RISE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
OUR LAST NIGHT - The ghosts among us CD 12.90 EUR
EMOCORE. Hailing from the idyllic small town of Hollis, New Hampshire, the prodigious newcomers OUR LAST NIGHT have arrived as the fresh new face of rock with their explosive debut, "The ghosts among us". Scene kids across the world are taking notice of OUR LAST NIGHT's skillful ability to craft brilliantly catchy songs while maintaining credibility with their astounding technicality and talent for finding an exceptional balance between the heavy and the melodic. (2008/EPITAPH)
-----------------------------------------------------------
PARASYTIC - Hymn LP 10.50 EUR
CRUSTPUNK. Debut record by this Richmond, VA band. "Hymn" contains 12 songs of raging metallic crustpunk, but nothing remotely generic in any way. Intelligent lyrics and extremely talented musicianship this is sure to blow some minds. Wailing guitar solos on top of ferocious riffs and the drumming is just fucking sick and punk as fuck. Hints of old-school thrash combined with the love of metal and the passion of punk, there's no boundary for this album. Comes in a full color gatefold with some pretty damn amazing artwork, insert and a huge poster. (2008/DESPOTIC)

PERTH EXPRESS - Harrow and wealdstone LP/CD 9.90/9.50 EUR
HARDCORE. "Harrow and wealdstone" contains 6 new songs and one monumental BLACK HEART PROCESSION cover song! If you like this new DOOMRIDERS/LORDS stuff mixed up with some TRAGEDY and older MASTODON - this will hit you like o ton of bricks. Its BRUTAL and the sounds and the coverartwork is just amazing ! (2008/VENDETTA)
-----------------------------------------------------------
REALITY CRISIS - Discharge your frustration LP 10.50 EUR
HARDCORE-PUNK. Finally seeing vinyl, this latest REALITY CRISIS release shows these Nagoya/Japan crust stalwarts taking their original sound, which was heavily influenced by DOOM, SORE THROAT and EXTREME NOISE TERROR and adding the more driving, tense style of CONFLICT and tradtional Japanese hardcore. A totally devastating release. (2008/WHISPERS IN DARKNESS)
-----------------------------------------------------------
ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT - R.I.P. CD+DVD 16.90 EUR
PUNKROCK. "R.I.P." is a live recording of ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT's last show on Halloween night, 2005. Included in this 2-disc set is an audio CD with 20 tracks as well as a DVD that features an additional 6 songs for a total of 26. A must have for any RFTC fan! (2008/VAGRANT)
-----------------------------------------------------------
SKELETONWITCH - Beyond the permafrost LP 10.90 EUR
THRASH-HARDCORE/METAL. Formed in Athens, Ohio, SKELETONWITCH has been launching metal assaults on an unsuspecting underground since 2003. The members of THE WITCH are bonded by the universal truth, that heavy metal is the law, thereby unleashing the band's brand of ripping, epic thrash. Everything begins with the purity and aggression of the '80s Bay Area thrash scene, but SKELETONWITCH further fuels its evil onslaught with elements of black and Viking metal. Cover art by John Baizley. Includes poster insert. (2008/HYPERREALIST)
-----------------------------------------------------------
STRANGE FACTORY - Circle world CD 11.50 EUR
HARDCORE-PUNK. Japanese punk as a genre is known for being a melodic and frantic-paced wall of noise. This is almost true with STRANGE FACTORY, but their technical songwriting puts them somewhere outside what is known as Japanese hardcore. Think of the first wave, like LSD, SYSTEMIC DEATH, EXECUTE and THE SEXUAL, all that dark sound but with better musicianship and beneath all the noise are a few welcome hooks. The songs are mid to fast paced and are strummed straight without any metal "chugging". STRANGE FACTORY are coming from Fukushima, known for its harsh winters and dark, angry sounding hardcore bands. "Circle World" is limited to 1,000 copies with bonus 7" tracks, soon to be sold out in Japan. (2008/I DISEASE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
SWORD, THE - Age of winters LP/CD 13.90/13.50 EUR
METAL. Heavily influenced by BLACK SABBATH, SLEEP, SLAYER, The MELVINS and even IRON MAIDEN, Austin TX's The SWORD offer up 9 tracks of long hair and full stacks, taking the new breed of American metal to a new level. The vinyl version includes download card for MP3's of this album. (2008/KEMADO)
-----------------------------------------------------------
TIDES / GIANT - Split CD 7.90 EUR
POST-ROCK. While both bands share slower tempos and amp-worshiping guitar tones, TIDES and GIANT manage to strike their own course in a scene that is rife with boring clones and uninspired songwriting. TIDES write gorgeously lush soundtracks to movies not yet made, filled with emotive guitar work, dynamic drumming, and huge production. GIANT's sole track on this record features the band's three-guitar line weaving its way through both the heaviest of distortions and hauntingly euphoric passages. (2008/LEVEL PLANE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
TOSSERS , THE - Gloatin' and showboatin': Live on St. patrick's day CD+DVD 12.90 EUR

Plus, it includes special studio footage filmed at JBTV also here in Chicago that includes some of their classic songs performed acoustically. (2008/VICTORY)
-----------------------------------------------------------
TOURNAMENT - Swordswallower MCD 8.50 EUR
HARDCORE-PUNK. Brooklyn, NY's TOURNAMENT's debut EP "Swordswallower" is a 5 song, spastic, hardcore-punk blast that showcases the quartet playing at break-neck DRIVE LIKE JEHU inspired hyper-speeds and then slowing it down to KARP-styled sluggishness. Recommended for fans of DRIVE LIKE JEHU, FUGAZI, The JESUS LIZARD, HOT SNAKES and KARP. Hand-numbered out of 500 copies. (2008/TRIP MACHINE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
V/A I THRASH THEREFORE I AM - LP 9.90 EUR
HARDCORE-PUNK. Re-release of the legendary BCT tapes. This features mostly Swedish bands like ANTI CIMEX, MOB 47, EXISTENZ, but also AKUTT INNLEGGELSE (Norway), ENOLA GAY (Denmark) and 2 others. -----------------------------------------------------------

-----------------------------------------------------------
GEORGE BERGER - The story of Crass Book 21.90 EUR
CRASS was the anarcho-punk face of a revolutionary movement founded by radical thinkers Penny Rimbaud and Steve Ignorant. When punk ruled the waves, CrRASS waived the rules and took it further, putting out their own records, films and magazines and setting up a series of situationist pranks that were dutifully covered by the world's press. Not just another iconoclastic band, CRASS was a musical, social and political phenomenon. Commune-dwellers who were rarely photographed and remained contemptuous of conventional pop stardom, their members exhausted the possibilities of punk-led anarchy. They have at last collaborated on telling the whole CRASS story, giving access to many never-before seen photos and interviews. 295 pages! (2008/OMNIBUS PRESS)
-----------------------------------------------------------
JOHN JOSEPH - The evolution of a Cro-Magnon Book 19.90 EUR
In his new autobiography, NYHC legend John "Bloodclot" Joseph recounts his hard times and spiritual redemption. A traumatic childhood in foster homes was just the beginning of John's evolution. Before fronting one of the most important bands in the underground punk scene, the Cro-Mags, John faced homelessness, addiction, betrayal and insanity. Still, even his success couldn't save him from a relapse that set him back to square one - rock bottom. The book is a raw and unapologetic autobiography. (2008/PUNKHOUSE)
