The 4 new songs were written by Liz (with some help from new guitarist Doudou) in 2007 and recorded in February 2008 by Andy Davies at Earthwork Studios in North London . Unlike 99% of the live recordings out there, the set you can hear on this recording has not been fixed or altered in any form. What you hear is what the crowd heard that night. DIGGER & THE PUSSYCATS - Let's go to hospital LP 11.50 EUR

GARAGE PUNK. Good ole' Sam of the infamous Australian Garage Rock'nRoll duo DIGGER & THE PUSSYCATS should have better watched his back while shakin' this guitar onstage like a rabid crocodile. Then again, this new album called ''Let's go to hospital'' probably wouldn't have turned out the way it has. This is wild, soulfoul and dirty Rock'n'Roll with a fuckin' backbone! Ten more scratching tunes stuffed with anger, smut and lust. You get your fill of shaking DIRTBOMBS-like Detroit sound in ''ASIO'', ''Liar Liar'' and the extremely danceable ''Cut you loose'' and ''Kept man'', you stagger through a drunk and horny night in ''Oh yeah'' and crawl like a dog in ''I want to be your slut'', infected with slower WIPERS-parts and a good dose of OBLIVIANS overdrive. In between, the two Aussies blast out the unapologetic punk tune ''I'm so bored with you'' that reminds of old LEWD topped with a brutal and ear-battering MUDHONEY feedback orgy. In more than one occasion, Sam let's his guitar howl in a way that would have made JIMI HENDRIX turn to a lighter shade. To surprise the astonished listener, at the end of the album, they placed the two sweet and sugary pop-punk tunes ''What you say, what you do'' and ''Let's go to hospital'', that THE STATUES or THE TRANZMITORS definitely couldn't have done better. HARDCORE. This is the debut full-length LP of this NY band. This quartet plays gnarled and discordant hardcore, sounding as dark and brooding as ever. It's pummeling down tuned hardcore that nods to the black clad crust with a more modern take on the D-Beat phenomena. Expect lots of vocal tradeoffs between straight yells and lower shouts, while the music hits on everything from pounding chord progressions and surging fast paced crust to borderline caustic speeds with intense picking patterns and lots of dissonant metal textures. HARDCORE. Vinyl has been postponed to 22.04.2008. THE EFFORT is a straight edge hardcore band that formed in 2006, playing a style of music that blends the modern youth crew sound of Boston’s late 1990s with the social conscious lyrics of artists like INSIDE OUT, 108, and BOY SETS FIRE. As THE EFFORT’s fan base continued to grow, the band put pen to paper and began working on their long anticipated full-length release titled "Iconoclasm" again, for Words Of War Records. POST-ROCK. Inspired by bands like MONO, GREGOR SAMSA and MOGWAI, these two Swiss guys decided to start a journey into wider soundscapes. As the duo uses loopstations and samples and guitars, the emotional and cleverly structured songs, all of them instrumental, sound like a whole orchestra. The album is calm and relaxed, yet it creates a certain nervous tension and it doesn't cling to commonly known rock clichees or structures. Don't expect a sound, that the label Synalgie (connected to the hardcore label Ape Must Not Kill Ape) normally delivers. This definitely isn't screamo, this is an astonishing soundtrack to a movie that goes from the light to the dark side of the mind. (2008/SYNALGIE)
