After a freak van accident killed their friend and drummer John Beatz Holohan, Long Island, NY's BAYSIDE carried on, and upon finishing their tour, entered the studio to record "The walking wounded." PUNK. Vinyl will be released on 28.07.2008. After cooling off a little bit the boys finally decided to tour Europe, as the writing process for the a records was going really slow. That was exactly what they needed to push'em into high gear! What happened next was a tornado of playing shows, writing and recording as they pushed to get the new album down while it was nice and fresh. After the dust settled, they were left with "Saints Gone Wrong"! The album reflects the urgency and energy of this band perfectly! It's got all the sing-alongs you expect from the "Kings of Whoa Punk". It's got all the Rock'n'Roll without all the cock-rock posturing and even some hardcore flavor for good measure! Some of the lyrics take us to a darker place on this record where Klinck exorcises some demons, but there is still plenty of room for beer-swilling, fist-pumping anthems! (2008/PEOPLE LIKE YOU)

If you're unfamiliar with THIS TIME NEXT YEAR, this relatively young pop-punk band from Northern California have been receiving rave reviews for their debut EP "A place for you" since its release early last year. Absolutepunk.net suggested, “If you check out one pop punk release this year, make it this one,” but fortunately for us, it is a new year, thus time for a new record. "The longest way home" offers 2 brand new songs, an acoustic rendition of "Sweetest air" and a cover of the KID DYNAMITE song "3 O'Clock." The new songs carry the same straightforward and upbeat brand of punk that bands such as NEW FOUND GLORY and SAVES THE DAY perfected, while the acoustic version of "Sweetest air" shows that although TTNY play a familiar style of music, they are not a one sided punk band. This may be their best output, and it's a shame that it's the last one. WARKRIME was a one-of-a-kind band. (2008/NO WAY)
