A.N.S. / REPROACH - Split 7'' 3.90 EUR
HARDCORE-THRASH. Awesome split between these two bands, ANS again prove and show why they're one of the best hardcore-punk bands going now with more of their brand of later BLACK FLAG meets SUICIDAL TENDENCIES style of punk, they do an original here with a crossover feel to it, an instrumental and an AGGRESSION cover. REPROACH from Belgium are back with their own brand of brutal thrash like a mix of the speed of INFEST, the almost moshy parts of HAYMAKER and the savageness of NEGATIVE APPROACH. Probably the best stuff so far to boot from these fairly long running Belgians. (2008/DIY)
-----------------------------------------------------------
ADICTS, THE - Triple b sides 7''col 5.90 EUR
PUNK. Three-song EP which includes new recordings of "ViVa la revolution", "Joker in the pack" and "Chinese takeaway". Limited colored edition of 500 copies. (2008/PEOPLE LIKE YOU)
-----------------------------------------------------------
ALL IN - Team U.S.A. CD 8.50 EUR
HARDCORE. Continuing in a long tradition of Southern hardcore, Birmingham's ALL IN have been a force to reckon with since their formation. Drawing on a wide range of influences, both new and old, these five fellas offer sincere hardcore without taking themselves too seriously... a great formula for fun, energetic tunes. Having released their debut album "Nothing to lose" in 2006 on Hand Of Hope Records and with extensive touring under their belts, ALL IN have established and nurtured a solid, devoted fan base across the country. Their sophomore effort "Team U.S.A.", this time on Blood & Ink Records, is an even more impressive recording, merging exciting hardcore with an entertaining theme (all the songs are named after the Dream Team Olympic basketball team members). Don't miss out on what's sure to be one of the most talked about new hardcore records this year. (2008/BLOOD AND INK)
-----------------------------------------------------------
ALL SHALL PERISH - Awaken the dreamers CD+DVD 12.90 EUR
METALCORE. Bay Area metal warriors ALL SHALL PERISH return with their third full-length, which sees the band refining their sound, to create an even more volatile mix of old-school death metal and powerful modern American metal for a final product that could best be described as a cross between CANNIBAL CORPSE and HATEBREED. Includes a bonus 45-minute DVD featuring live and behind-the-scenes footage of their seemingly neverending adventures on the road. (2008/NUCLEAR BLAST)
-----------------------------------------------------------
BAD LUCK CHARMS, THE - Same CD 10.90 EUR
PUNK. Spawned from the attics and basements with old KISS dolls, comics, Chuck Berry records and monster magazines, these electric cartoons - "straight outta Brooklyn, New York" - are fueled by the sound of the HEARTBREAKERS, the tongue in cheek of Hanoi Rocks and the STONES, and all of the snot of the DEAD BOYS. The band includes rock 'n' roll veteran Kerry Martinez on lead vocals and guitar, and you may already know him as the guitar player for U.S. BOMBS. Brian Knott is the second vocalist and guitarist for BAD LUCK CHARMS and has ripped his way through the New York circuit with bands such as THE NUNS, MOLOTOV COCKTAILS and THE STIFF MICKEYS. (2008/I SCREAM)
-----------------------------------------------------------
BLEEDING THROUGH - Declaration LPcol/CD 10.90/10.90 EUR
METALCORE. BLEEDING THROUGH has set "Declaration" as the title to the follow-up to "The truth". The band began recording in April with producer Devin Townsend (LAMB OF GOD, SOILWORK, DARKEST HOUR) and "Declaration" is a "concept album" about the rigors of being away from home. Some of the songs are named for different cities or states, BLEEDING THROUGH frontman Brandan Schieppati told Revolver in the magazine’s May 2008 issue: “There are definitely places when we’re traveling where every time we go there, we’re like, ‘Fuck, why do we have to be here?’ Like, we’ll be in France and all of a sudden we’ll feel totally insignificant. You get the feeling that people’s eyes are just burning a hole through you.” According to Schieppati, "Declaration" is
heavier than its predecessor. “I think it bridges the gap between ''The Truth'' and ''This Is Love, This Is Murderous,” he tells Revolver. “The melodies are darker, the riffs are heavier. We just wrote a really aggressive record that encompasses everything we’ve ever tried to do as a band and then raised the bar a notch or two.” (2008/TRUSTKILL)
-----------------------------------------------------------
BREATHE CAROLINA - It's classy, not classic CD 11.50 EUR
SCREMO-HARDCORE. BREATHE CAROLINA burst into the scene with their genre creating mix of electronica and screamo. Gaining a huge following in their home town of Denver, CO, word quickly spread via internet about their amazing live show and self produced demos. Tours with JEFREE STARS, A SKYLIT DRIVE and SKY EATS AIRPLANE show that BREATHE CAROLINA has the ability to play any type of show, whether it's hardcore or a dance party. (2008/RISE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
BREATHING FIRE - Years of lead LP 11.50 EUR
HARDCORE. In 2004; BREATHING FIRE quietly laid down one of the most impressive demos in our recent collective memories, following which, they promptly disappeared. In 2007, the band reconvened to unearth the remains of some unused songs and attempt some new ones, thus beginning a brief but fruitful reconnection between the members that produced this album. "Years of lead" takes the framework of their demo and pushes everything much further. The recording is dirtier and much more harsh, the slow sections more ominous, the fast sections more head spinning. Influenced by early power violence, harsh and dark hardcore, classic sludge, and hazy doom standards, but "Years of lead" speaks its own language. Comes housed in a full color old style tip-on style jacket. (2008/PAINKILLER)
-----------------------------------------------------------
BRIMSTONE HOWL - We came in peace LP/CD 12.90/12.90 EUR
GARAGE-PUNK. BRIMSTONE HOWL is a Mid-West foursome described by NME as "Beatles-headed psych-nerds with a taste for razor sharp snake-rock". "We came in peace" is the follow-up to "Guts of steel" (Alive 2007) an album hailed as "unholy hot-wiring of the SONICS, the DAMNED and the BLUES EXPLOSION" (Magnet) and "cranked lo-fi blues rock from Nebraska's hoodlums" (Uncut). Led by charismatic singer/songwriter John Ziegler and guitarist extraordinaire Nick Waggoner, with Calvin Retzlaff on drums, the boys traveled to Ghetto Recorders in Detroit for a very productive recording session with legendary Jim Diamond. Despite it's cryptic title "We came in peace" is another fun explosion of fuzz and American-gothic chit-chatter, with "weird fictional adventure stories, and beginner blues guitar lessons from mongoloids," as they like to describe it. The album is packed with great songs, including the amazing power-punk-pop "Hopeless Destroyer," the CRAMPS-worshipper "Child Of Perdition" or the VU-psych influenced "Easy To Dream". BRIMSTONE HOWL has been sharing stages with fellow travelers JAY REATARD (who produced one of their first singles), the BLACK LIPS, and KING KHAN & BBQ, among many others, gathering reviews such as this one : "Pumping with hot red blood, they slopped their rock & roll around the room: dirty, gritty, just right. For the finale, the four players became two piggyback stacks. The playing continued as the dueling human towers wobbled about the room, knocking into the lampshades and ending up in a heap of bodies on the floor and a blistering wall of noise. Now THAT'S how you do it." (Orlando Weekly). BRIMSTONE HOWL will be touring all through 2008 and 2009. The CD version includes 1 bonus track NOT on the vinyl. First LP pressing is on purple vinyl limited to 500 copies. (2008/ALIVE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
BURST - Lazarus bird CD 13.50 EUR
METALCORE. Acclaimed Swedish quintet BURST return with their long-awaited new record, "Lazarus bird.", the follow-up to "Origo", is a tougher and more daring record that sees the band chasing their metal muse. For fans of MASTODON, ISIS, NEUROSIS, PELICAN, OPETH and CULT OF LUNA. (2008/RELAPSE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
CRIME IN STEREO - Selective wreckage CD/LP+CD 10.90/9.90 EUR
HARDCORE. Featuring 10 previously unreleased tracks, "Selective wreckage" is not a B-sides collection. This is an audio documentation of a band’s evolution from 2006’s melodic punk outburst ''The Troubled Stateside'' to 2007s critically acclaimed opus, CRIME IN STEREO ''Is Dead''. Featuring 5 songs recorded in 2006 and 5 slogs recording during 2007 with producer and collaborator Mike Sapone (BRAND NEW, STRAYLIGHT RUN), these were all remixed and tweaked in the summer of 2008. This release gives fans new music to continue the debate over this band’s extensive evolution and back-catalog, as well as further the interest in this enigmatic Long Island punk band. (2008/BRIDGE NINE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
DIRTY MONEY / TRAPPED UNDER ICE - Split 7'' 3.90 EUR
HARDCORE. TRAPPED UNDER ICE follow up "Stay cold" with 2 new tracks "Gemini" and "Death clock", while DIRTY MONEY present their first new material since the EP with the 2 tracks "Hollow shell" and "2007 was a bad year". (2008/DEAD AND GONE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
ENERGY - Invasions of mind CD 10.90 EUR
HARDCORE. Releasedate for the vinyl is 30.09.2008. ENERGY is a prime example of why the hardcore scene is quickly becoming the place for talent in the broader music scene. ENERGY has spent the last three years as one of New England’s up and coming bands. Cutting their teeth on a CDEP release and constant touring throughout the East Coast, ENERGY’s debut "Invasions of mind" will show everyone just what has been brewing underneath. With soaring three part harmonies courtesy of self-trained vocalist Jason Tankerley set to a backbone of 11 intricately written songs that pull from MISFITS as much as they do RANCID and GORILLA BISCUITS, ENERGY’s "Invasions of mind" is an incredible statement for a debut release and will no doubt leave a lasting impression as a band who won’t stay a secret of New England’s music scene for very long.
(2008/BRIDGE NINE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
ERGS, THE - Hindsight is 20/20, my friend, Vol. 1 CD 11.90 EUR
TRASH-PUNK. Vinyl available ca. 26.09.2008. This is a compilation of a whopping 33 tracks, spanning The ERGS!' career, featuring material from splits, singles, comps and everything in between. For some songs, this is the first release in which they have been given a proper mastering or mixing job. (2008/DIRTNAP)
-----------------------------------------------------------
ESTRANGED, THE - Sacred decay 7'' 4.20 EUR
POST-PUNK. THE ESTRANGED are a new three-piece from Portland, Oregon. Members come from the HC/Crust scene, where they have a long history of playing in some of the genre’s most influential bands. Taking cues from one of my favorite bands of all-time, Boston’s agit-punkers MISSION OF BURMA, “Statue In a Room” would have sounded right at home on the Signals, Calls, and Marches EP. It’s all boiled up tension and constant movement; even when it slows down for a crusty solo it’s just so singer and guitarist Mark can catch his breath. You won’t find any wasted space in any of the their songs, no wanky guitar breaks or a superfluous keyboard line. Just the sound of three musicians in a small room absolutely playing the shit out of their instruments. (2008/GREEN NOISE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
FOR ALL WE KNOW - We're about to change MCD 7.50 EUR
EMO/ROCK. Michigan's FOR ALL WE KNOW present their debut release for 567 Records, a 5-song EP that showcases the band's emo/rock style with harsh screams, soaring melodic vocals and music that ranges from poppy rock to slightly metallic, all while retaining the band's pop sensibilities. (2008/567)
-----------------------------------------------------------
GERIATRIC UNIT - Distance and damage LP/CD 11.50/11.50 EUR
HARDCORE-PUNK. GERIATRIC UNIT features former members of UK hardcore royalty HERESY, IRON MONKEY and HARD TO SWALLOW and this is hardcore punk straight in your sorry face. (2008/BOSS TUNEAGE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
GIRLS , THE - Yes, no, yes, no, yes, no LP/CD 11.50/11.90 EUR
PUNK. Seattle quintet, THE GIRLS, deliver a punk-rock sound armed with both the intuition of the better half and the brawn of the other. Right from the start, THE GIRLS displayed a surplus of indisputably catchy hooks, a tightrope-dancing rhythm section, confident blurts and yelps from frontman Shannon Brown, razor-sharp synths, and the charisma to match. THE GIRLS, who has at one time or another had members of the BRIEFS, SPITS, CATHETERS, STEVE E NIX AND THE CUTE LEPERS, delve even deeper into their well studied set of influences and have emerged with "Yes, no, yes, no, yes, no". These 10 twitchy new wave power pop gems continue THE GIRLS’ worship at the feet of RICHARD HELL and The VOIDOIDS, The CARS, STIV BATORS and DEVO while venturing into the jagged pep pill-sped abstractions of WIRE. (2008/DIRTNAP)
-----------------------------------------------------------
GIT SOME - Cosmic rock LPcol/CD 12.90/11.90 EUR
PUNK. GIT SOME, from Denver, CO, consists of four dudes (including Chuck and Neil from PLANES MISTAKEN FOR STARS) who grew up on '80s punk rock, Reagan-era America, and shitty weed, discharging cathartic bursts of noise that shatter angst and inhibitions. Their music walks the thin line between BLACK FLAG, JESUS LIZARD and BORN AGAINST, with plenty of noise and distorted bass. Vinyl version includes a coupon for a one time download of high quality mp3's of the whole album. (2008/1 2 3 4 GO!)
-----------------------------------------------------------
HERDS - Same 7'' 3.90 EUR
HARDCORE. Featuring members who have been in bands such as CHARLES BRONSON, GET RAD, The BAYONETTES, and THREATENER. HERDS stampede over emerald hills, shedding coats of winter's burden. Spring builds from distant thunder to an absent, hoof-annihilated valley. Imprinted mud and the lasting smell of animal serve as the only indication of visit. Quick as they come, the beasts are gone. Spring itself is overtaken by an even greater rumbling. ''Katmai'' is a slow riffing mountain of a song. There is no freedom on this bursted volcano. The surrounding sky is dark, the air thick with ash, and the cool mud has been overrun by molten rock. The throngs of ''Spring'' finds no solace on ''Katmai'' lungs clamp, eyes burn, and saliva runs hot with blackened sediment. The peace of ''Spring'' is voided by ''Katmai'''s leaking poisons. Like all things, green to gray, chaos to stillness, life to blistering death. 400 copies pressed. (2008/DEER HEALER LABEL)
-----------------------------------------------------------
IDLE HANDS - Same 7'' 4.20 EUR
PUNK. New German super-group, picked with the two guitar swingers from PRESS GANG and MISSING SHADOWS to have this bright sounding. The debut 7" of this manical punk madness from Münster / Germany. Influenced by STATUES, BUZZCOCKS, WIPERS, HÜSKER DÜ and MINOR THREAT!!! Six catchy songs with loads of hooks and great singalongs!!! (2008/THREE CHORDS)
-----------------------------------------------------------
INTRONAUT - Prehistoricisms CD 12.50 EUR
METALCORE. Mixing intelligence and intensity all the while bringing psychedelic brutality, INTRONAUT have captivating hooks and unpredictable time changes. The essence of thinking man's metal that is so refreshing, it's a wake up call to the force-fed masses. For fans of HIGH ON FIRE, ISIS, TORCHE, OPETH and MASTODON. (2008/CENTURY MEDIA)
-----------------------------------------------------------
JENA BERLIN - Quo Vadimus LP 9.90 EUR
POST-HARDCORE/INDIE. Sophomore effort from one of the hardest working bands around. JENA BERLIN from Philadelphia with their second album “Quo Vadimus” benefits from maturation and a sense of purpose that only experience can bring. Eleven songs of passionate mid-90’s influenced post-hardcore that’s been described as a cross between SMALL BROWN BIKE, FARSIDE and HOT WATER MUSIC. An absolute must. (2008/ASS CARD)
-----------------------------------------------------------
JUMP THE SHARK - Staring death CD 10.90 EUR
HARDCORE-PUNK. Formed from various styles of punk and similar minded bands, JUMP THE SHARK are the new breed of “I don’t give a fuck”-attitude,” and “What you see is what you get”-ism. With several demos recorded, including 2007’s ''The Sweet Lou'' demo, the band played as many shows as they could jump on, slinging their latest recordings to the dirty little hands of hardcore kids and punk rockers in and around Panama City, Florida. Eventually JTS got off their asses and did some extensive touring around the U.S. with the likes of CEREMONY, BLACKLISTED, KIDS LIKE US, and BRACEWAR. Touring made the band re-evaluate themselves, focus on getting organized and start writing what they wanted to hear and not what the “in” thing is at the time. After some rehashing, literally and figuratively, drummer Jordan Leake set out to record the full length DIY style, packed with the intensity and fury from their live shows, "Staring Death" is the hatchling. You can call JUMP THE SHARK many things but insincere is not one of them. (2008/DEAD TRUTH)
-----------------------------------------------------------
KAKISTOCRACY / NUX VOMICA - Split 7'' 3.70 EUR
ANARCHO-PUNK/HARDCORE. KAKISTOCRACY cannot be labeled as just another anarcho-crust hardcore band. They perform crushing live shows and are a long standing part of North Carolina history, having been a band ever since I can remember. This record is their first output since their debut LP four years ago. As far as the music is concerned, they continue to throw in super heavy parts that transition seamlessly into melodic breakaways. On the flipside, NUX VOMICA throws together some more metallicaly driven but still equally melodic crust. Having members from WAKE UP ON FIRE from Baltimore, the band has made a pilgrimage from the East Coast to Portland to ruin eardrums and minds everywhere conceivable. This record single-handedly bridges the coastal gap. (2008/TO LIVE A LIE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
LIGHT YOURSELF ON FIRE - Intimacy MLP/MCD 11.50/10.90 EUR
HARDCORE. Representing Tampa, FL, LIGHT YOURSELF ON FIRE consists of four veterans of Tampa's metal and hardcore scenes including ex-REVERSAL OF MAN vocalist Matt Coplon. LIGHT YOURSELF ON FIRE conjures dark, sinister atmospheres amidst an urgent, precise attack. "Intimacy" was recorded and mixed by Mark Nikolich (Torche, Kylesa) and mastered by Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer, Nile). (2008/SEVENTH RULE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
MATES OF STATE - My solo project LP 13.50 EUR
EMO/INDIE. The LP version of the Mates of State's 2000 release, My Solo Project has been long out of print and it's a must have for any fan of the band with a turntable. Now it's finally back and availabe here on premium 180g Vinyl LP with digital download code. (2008/POLYVINYL)
-----------------------------------------------------------
MILES AWAY - Rewind, repeat ... LP 11.50 EUR
HARDCORE. Coming from the land down under can prove to be a hindrance for hardcore bands seeking international attention. It wasn’t until recently that Australia was given any thought from the rest of the world’s hardcore community. The primary band responsible for opening those eyes is MILES AWAY. Extensive touring in Australia with bands such as CHAMPION and BETRAYED opened up the roadways to the rest of the world. In the past two years, MILES AWAY has toured the US, Japan and Australia, while releasing two full-lengths on Bridge 9 Records. Whatever ground they have yet to touch will be covered this spring on their world tour in support of their strongest effort to date "Rewind, repeat…". For fans of COMEBACK KID, HAVE HEART, CARRY ON, VERSE. (2008/SHARK MEN)
-----------------------------------------------------------
NORTH SIDE KINGS - Suburban royalty CD 10.90 EUR
HARDCORE. Through the years, NORTH SIDE KINGS have made their presence known across the world with their no holds barred attitude and their blunt honesty. Often considered offensive, this band carries no middle ground. This is the real deal, straightforward and to the point. (2008/I SCREAM)
-----------------------------------------------------------
OBLIGE - Expectants CD 11.50 EUR
METALCORE. OBLIGE hail from the Inland Empire of Southern California and bring pummelling metal, dominated by a lower end, double bass drumming and heavy guitars, all played with a slight groove, bringing to mind bands like PANTERA, CROWBAR, BLOOD HAS BEEN SHED and BURY YOUR DEAD. (2008/STILLBORN)
-----------------------------------------------------------
PORTUGAL THE MAN - Censored colors CD 11.90 EUR
POST/INDIE-ROCK. "Censored colors" was recorded and mostly written in a frantic two-and-a-half-week period in Seattle with the aid of producers Phil Peterson and Kirk Huffman of The House Of Breaking Glass. Upon digging deep into "Censored colors," you're sure to discover songs that balance epic songwriting with naked testimonials directly from the soul. There are melodies that will delightfully come back to haunt you long after you're done listening as evidenced by such standout tracks as "Lay Me Back Down," "Colors," and "Out And In And In and Out," among other glittering gems. (2008/EQUAL VISION)
-----------------------------------------------------------
RAINER MARIA - Look now look again LP 13.50 EUR
INDIE-ROCK. This album originally came out in 1999 and Polyvinyl now decided to repress it. "Look now look again" set the high standard for which RAINER MARIA will always be viewed. Anyway this full-length is great, regardless if you like indie-rock or not. It's more of an indie-pop album. The singing is singing, not screaming. The melodies are memorable and pleasant for emo. RAINER MARIA throws in a little math-rock and does a a few complicated tempo changes which makes this album an interesting listen. LP is on premium 180gr vinyl and includes a digital download code. (2008/POLYVINYL)
-----------------------------------------------------------
RAW POWER - Screams from the gutter LP 12.50 EUR
HARDCORE. The classic 1985 Toxic Shock Records release has been out of print on vinyl for 20 years. 17 songs, recorded by ZERO BOY Paul Mahern during their first US tour, include the anthems "State oppression", "Start a
fight", "Nihilist" and "Hate". Features original full-color artwork by Vince Rancid and lyric sheet/insert. Remastered to bring out the full fury of the spine-tingling songs that have endured for almost 30 years and still win over new fans to this day. The unstoppable Italian hardcore band is currently wrapping up West Coast dates for their "Liberatia or Bust" tour and an interview with their founder, Mauro Codeluppi was featured in the August 2008 Maximum Rock'n'Roll. (2008/TOXIC SHOCK)
-----------------------------------------------------------
SCREAM HELLO - Everything is always still happening CD 8.90 EUR
PUNKROCK. SCREAM HELLO have been cut from the same New Jersey cloth as bands like The BOUNCING SOULS, LIFETIME and THURSDAY, and carry on the state's tradition of upbeat indie music with 10 tracks of poppy, catchy and melodic rock 'n' roll, filled with choruses and addictive guitar hooks. This record sees the band maturing past their previous works and bringing new and groundbreaking ideas into the fold. With lyrical themes working there way through the album, songs ranging in length from 30 seconds to over 7 minutes, and influences as diverse as SUPERPUNK, BLACK SABBATH and 7 SECONDS all help to create a record that is both unique and familiar, catchy and challenging, and most of all AMAZING! (2008/RED LEADER)
-----------------------------------------------------------
SHELL SHOCK - Comics, transformers, & punk 7''col 4.20 EUR
HARDCORE. This 7" was released as a tribute to the band's vocalist, who passed away in 2008 and was only previously available at a memorial show. These 5 songs are played with old-school NYHC attitude and approach, using plenty of speed and anger, at times sounding like SHEER TERROR and at other times like ANTIDOTE. (2008/DEAD CITY)
-----------------------------------------------------------
SMARTBOMB - Diamond heist CD 10.90 EUR
PUNK-HARDCORE. Once dubbed as “NO TRIGGER’s side project,” SMARTBOMB is wasting no time shedding the side project ties and is quickly jumping to the frontlines of the punk rock scene. This is evident with their hectic touring schedule but most prominently on their debut full-length "Diamond heist". With the craft of Jim Siegel (DROPKICK MURPHYS, THE UNSEEN, GIVE UP THE GHOST), "Diamond heist", which was nearly four years in the making, showcases an obvious progression since their debut EP ''Chaos And Lawlessness'' (recorded and self- released when they were teenagers and recently re-released on Think Fast!). Don’t let this progression fool you into thinking SMARTBOMB is out of touch with their roots. "Diamond heist" is still very much fast, snotty and punk. (2008/THINK FAST!)
-----------------------------------------------------------
THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE - Monument CD 12.90 EUR
METALCORE. Hailing from Lancaster, PA, THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE brings what can only be regarded as "the thinking man's mosh" to the world with their juggernaut of a debut release "Monuments". THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE tightrope walks between masterfully crafted time signatures, dense rock grooves and melodic atmosphere while having brutal breakdowns intertwining themselves with insanely intricate riffing and thought provoking lyrical content. For fans of AUGUST BURNS RED, MISERY SIGNALS, SHAI HULUD and UNDEROATH. (2008/LIFEFORCE)
-----------------------------------------------------------
TRANZMITORS - Same (2nd) MLP 9.50 EUR
PUNKROCK. The return of Vancouver’s TRANZMITORS is here in the form of an exploding 4-track EP of powerpop excellence! These new tracks demonstrate an obvious progression from their extremely well-received 2007 album, by delivering even catchier, more melodic, and tighter songs than on previous releases. The EP includes 3 original and one fabulous cover of the MOONDOGS' '‘Who’s Gonna tell Mary'’. Superb songwriting and a killer production make this EP the TRANZMITORS' best release to date. Featuring ex- and current members of The SMUGGLERS, The NEW TOWN ANIMALS and The PARALLELS, the power pop combo take their musical cues from bands like The BUZZCOCKS, The UNDERTONES, STATUES and The EXPLODING HEARTS. The TRANZMITORS have been invited to play the Wild Weekend Powerpop Festival in August along with UK’s THE BOYS, THE POINTED STICKS and PAUL COLLINS BEAT. (2008/DERANGED)
-----------------------------------------------------------
TRASH TALK - Plagues 7''col 4.50 EUR
HARDCORE. Now available again on colored vinyl. Comprised of 6 violent anthems to the diseased and destructive survivors of a dead world, "Plagues" is TRASH TALK's dizzying soundtrack to the impending and unavoidable apocalypse. With every explosive note, they delve deeper into that bleak vision. For fans of BLACK FLAG, INFEST and NEGATIVE APPROACH. (2008/TRASH TALK COLLECTIVE)
