PRESSURE FESTIVAL 2009 - 27./28.06. und 08./09.08.

Hier gibt es die ersten Infos zur diesjährigen Ausgabe des PRESSURE FESTIVALS, welches 20099 sogar zweimal stattfinden wird:

"You had to wait for a long time for the first actual Pressure Fest news, but here we are. Admittedly we had some trouble while booking the Festival this year which forced us to change some things. But we are confident that at the end we came up with something even better for everyone then what we had before.
As some of you will already have heard we had some trouble with the location in Herne, as they are restoring it this summer making it impossible to have Pressure Fest there. An alternate location that would provide the same cool surroundings as in Herne was pretty much impossible to find in our area, the couple of alternatives that came up didn't work out for the June date for various reasons. So we decided to move the fest to August.

We know this will upset people who have already counted on the June date and will probably already have planned and booked (parts of) their trip, so this is why we came up with the following:

This year there will be TWO Pressure Fests!!!

June 27. and 28. will see Pressure Fest move into a smaller location in JZE Paperstrasse in Essen for the first club show since the Winter Pressure Fest in 2003. No barriers or anything holding you back, just stagedives and high fives! The line up for this is almost completely booked, with a couple more bands following.

August 8. to 9. we will have a "normal" Pressure Fest edition in a bigger location with a surrounding just as it's suited for a big Festival, which unfortunately is still not confirmed at this point, but will hopefully be next week.

Also, as some of you may have already heard, HAVE HEART are breaking up this fall. So this tour and their appearance at Pressure Fest will be your last chance to see this band live on stage in Europe. Don't miss out on one of the most important HC bands of recent years.

+++ Hotels/Hostels near the venue!

Lots of kids are asking us if we know cheap places to stay during Pressure Festival in June. As much as we'd like to help, we simply don't have any cool places to recommend, besides the links to hotels already known through our official website.

But a couple of days ago we got the following Email, which we translated from German to English, with the German version following after that. Maybe this helps:

We are working together with roughly 110 Private lessors, who are offering appartements, as well as one- and two-bed rooms.All accomodations are ready-furnished and fully equiped. Our prices depend on how long you want to stay there and vary between 18,50 € and 35 € for every person, including towels, bed linen and cleaning. We have housed lots of visitors of Pressure Fest over the years.

Für das Festival am 8. und 9. August gibt es jetzt ein paar Änderungen im LineUp. FOLSOM und DENIED werden nicht dabei sein, Gründe für die Absagen sind bisher nicht bekannt. Als Ersatz werden SCREAMIN' SILENCE und HALF PAST DEATH spielen.
