This 4-track MCD is on Mark Kozelek's label, Caldo Verdes, home of Mark's own Sun Kil Moon and other transformative musical endeavors. This release is the 1st studio recording to feature the lineup of Broadrick, Dave Cochrane and Phil Petrocelli. It follows JESU's 2009 full-length, "Infinity". POST-ROCK. On his solo debut, ZOMBI's A. E. Paterra proves he's more than just a drummer. Under MAJEURE, Paterra is on both synth and drum duty. This DoLP never approaches the overwhelming size of ZOMBI, but it doesn't try to. Each build on each track is loaded with finite moments that slowly shift the music from movement to movement. The cathartic tension of "Timespan" is obviously inspired by the same music as ZOMBI. With 3 tracks that span from 9 to 18 minutes, there's no reason to question this DoLP's ambition.
