PAINT THE TOWN RED
(Germany – Join The Team Player)
PTTR have managed to establish an ever growing fanbase over the past two years and their latest release "pt.2: home is where the hate is" was higly acclaimed by magazines all over europe including a KKKK review in Kerrang magazine. With a solid foundation of the hardcore sounds of the last decade, (Turmoil and Unbroken) and a mix of modern hardcore passion and fury (think a heavier early American Nightmare or even more pissed off Bane), PTTR have started to carve their own prison-style- tattoo in the hearts of many. With lyrical inspiration ranging from Bruce Springsteen to the Clash, Paint the Town Red call for the rise of the underclass, the under privileged, the beaten down, and the lost kids. Paint the Town Red songs are motivated not by trends, pointless broken hearts, or vanity. They are a call to arms, a battle-cry, an anthem for self-empowerment.
AWOKEN
(UK – Let It Burn)
AWOKEN formed in the dawn of 2003, inspired by the potential for a strong UK hardcore scene threatened by the likes of xCANAANx and SWORN IN. AWOKEN is the first significant band all members have been involved in and it's formation was brought about by an already-existing friendship and mutual love for hardcore music. The idea behind AWOKEN has always been to unite a slowly seperating hardcore scene where the hardcore gets more punk and the metallic gets more metal. The music hits hard and is made to make you stomp your feet and scream along.
SOLID GROUND
(Switzerland – Join The Team Player)
SOLID GROUND are one of the few recently formed bands that have the raw energy and power thats so truly rare these days. Put simply they are a hardcore band - nothing more, nothing less. If you are fan of comparisons you can think of bands like Panic and Carry On and you'll be somewhere close. Considered one of the strongest new hardcore bands Europe has to offer, SOLID GROUND have played shows with Sidekick, Terror, No turning back, Teamkiller, Over My Dead Body, Mental, The Hope Con, etc. and the debut record will be released in march 2005 on JTTP.
