Die einseitig bespielte LP ist bereits im Presswerk und die Testpressung der ersten Vinylveröffentlichung der Dresdner DEATHRITE müsste spätestens Ende kommender Woche hier eintreffen. Das Teil ist (wenn alles nach Plan läuft) locker zu den angedachten Releaseshows (10.6. Dresden, 11.6. Leipzig, 12.6. Forst) fertig.
Die limitierte Pressung im farbigen Vinyl wird dann direkt nach Erscheinen verschickt - natürlich kann wie gehabt was aus dem Mailorder addiert werden!!!
Die reguläre Pressung (ebenso 350gr. inside-out Cover, Inlay, Siebdruck) wird dann ebenso ab dem 10.06.2011 ganz gewöhnlich über den Online-Shop zu bestellen sein.
Kostenpunkt für das limitierte Exemplar im farbigen Vinyl liegt bei 10,- € (die reguläre Pressung wird den identischen Preis haben).
DEATHRITE - s/t LP
It's really hard to describe the 8 tracks without mentioning the token words brutal and intense at the end of every sentence. DEATHRITE's noisy assault delivers the urgency of hardcore, the sheer brutality of extreme metal and the high speed attacks in the vein of your favourite power-violence bands - all wrapped up by the no-bullshit and fuck-you attitude of punk. Breakneck speeds, pounding percussion, raw vocals, and frantically raging guitars and bass round out their style which pleasantly scorches the eardrums. This splatter is caustic and merciless. It's an unrelenting torrent, an avalanche of thick grime and vitriol. There's so much hate spewed forth in such a short amount of time (18min.) that it takes a few listens to process everything that's going on. DEATHRITE are quick and to the point, dropping into each number like an unhinged guillotine blade. The band's sound is reminiscent of newer bands like NAILS, TRAP THEM and MIND ERASER, with an early '90s Earache Records (ENTOMBED and NAPALM DEATH) like crudity, complete with the grim production (mastered by Robin Völkert of Dean Dirg). The mysterious artwork is done by Paul Barsch of Julith Krishun. The limited, colored, one-sided LP comes with a screenprinted b-side, 350gr thick cover with reverse side printings, lyricsheet, black innersleeve and is housed in a polybag with sticker. You'll probably also find something to like on DEATHRITE - it's a promise!
