7“

AMANDA WOODWARD/ 1905 split 7“ (stonehenge - This intercontinental
split features the premier French hardcore band, Amanda Woodward, paired
with DC's 1905. Amanda Woodward's song "A Fond De Cale" sounds very
similar to their latest full-length material. The accented and raspy vocals
lead the way over a thick bass line and intricately woven and angular
guitar lines and give us another stellar hardcore song by this French
mainstay. On the b-side, 1905 come out kicking and screaming on "Lingua
Franca". With their guy/girl vocals, that are at times sung and
screamed, they are the most prominent instrument on the song and manage to keep
1905 stoic and driven the entire song. The drums don't rest either, and
keep the pace upbeat even during a delayed guitar reprise. The song has
a great dynamic, which is ultimately controlled by both singers'
vocals. Excellent split release that spans an ocean.) 3.80

ANTIGMA/ ROT split 7" (colored) Slimewave Series part 3 (RELAPSE –
limited single series on colored vinyl. This is part 3 and all covers
together show you a big alien.) 5.50

BLACK SS / RAINING BRICKS split 7" (organized crime records - This is
the debut release for Chicago's Raining Bricks which is comprised of
members of Plan Of Attack. Think AC/DC mixed with Black Flag. Next up is
Black SS from Syracuse. They already have a 7" out on Third Party
Records and a CD that just came out on Reaper Records. What's not to like
about a band that plays blistering fast hardcore and has an unholy
infatuation of wrestling. Think Kill Your Idols meets Slapshot and you have a
good idea on what BSS is about back in stock) 5.00

Family Underground/ Quintana Roo split 7" (not not fun - A pair of
implosion constructs from Denmark’s finest and Eagle Rock’s vaguest.
Originally conceived for the Quintana/Underground doomed west coast tour
dates, but car rental hostilities and passport chaos shot the drone team
scheme dead. Alas. At any rate: the single still stands. “Vengeance
Valley” finds FU at their most steeped-in-dread, channeling Spahn Ranch
brainwash kill vibes into rumbling black hills of bad acid alchemy. Pure
murder magick. Q Roo’s “Horses Neck” wanders its own Death Valley
nothingness, loses contact/control, and carves slow sigils in the sand. A
hovering aura of desert oblivion. Black vinyl 7 inches in hand-numbered,
hand-screened grey cardstock jackets with skull-rider/ancient ruins cover
art. Limited to 300.) 4.50

GET BACK UP Symptoms Of Failure 7" (organzied crime records – Molded by
the frigid Buffalo, NY winters, Get Back Up bring four tracks of fast,
angry modern hardcore to this 7", bringing to mind bands like Another
Break and How We Are.) 5.00

GET UP KIDS love teller 7“ (contrast records – a handful of this
classic 7“.Songs are "A Newfound Interest In Massachusetts", and "Off The
Record".) 6.00

LIFE LONG TRAGEDY / SABERTOOTH ZOMBIE split 7" (Two of the Bay Area's
hardest hitters have come together, bringing 3 songs each of their own
powerful, moshable hardcore to colored vinyl) 5.00

MEN'S RECOVERY PROJECT normal man 7" (gravity - Sam McP and crew
demolilsh the hardcore cred they gained with Born Against, Life's Halt, and
UOA by injecting a heart dose of absurdity into an otherwise HARD core
single) 5.00

RAW POWER wop hour 7" (toxic shock - Italy’s Raw Power 4 song ep
released ‘85 on toxic shock records…great hardcore with a ting of metal. Due
to the fact this was released in ‘85 it was the era of ‘crossover’
‘metalcore’ or whatever you must call it. The whole crossover faze in my
life was good, I do believe to this day that there was a good amount of
great bands producing music through this time period. Some might not
agree and others just might not want to admit it, but I followed the
‘trend’ and fuck I enjoyed it all…well almost, could’ve done without the
high top sneakers…and all the shitty DRI records that are currently
filling up all the landfills. Well know that I got that off my chest, turn it
up!) 4.00

TEENAGE ANGST / PIAZZA DROPUT split 7” (institut für mentale hygiene -
After Piazza Dropouts first 7inch here is their second release. The
records consists of 11 brandnew Piazza Dropout tunes. Expect an ultra-fast
80´s inspired HC-Punk Attack! Great! For Teenage Angst from Hannover
this is the debut-record! Teenage Angst combine snotty 80´s HC with some
newer influences like some Youth Crew elements. The records come with a
full-color-cover with nice artwork.) 3.50

10“

AMANDA WOODWARD picture 10“ (stonehenge – we got some copies of this
amazing piece of vinyl. Everything works for Amanda Woodward on this
album, probably even better than the band themselves could have expected.
The guitar tones are just right, melodic and discordant just the same,
the vocals only get better, and more intense as the album progresses,
and their political message, albeit in French, does not go without
notice. A powerful message put forth in an even more powerful manner, this is
definitely a band too look out for.) 10.50

BAD BRAINS omega sessions 10" (victory - This is the first ever studio
sessions from one of the most influential bands of our time. Bad Brains
have set the standards others try to follow. "Omega Sessions" is i-tal
for any true punk rock collection. Now available on colored vinyl.)
9.00

GRAF ORLOCK destination time tomorrow 10" (vendetta – we got more
covers. So they are ready to go ... Destination Time Tomorrow is the second
installment of Graf Orlock’s time bending cinemagrind trifecta, based
on an array of cloudily interconnected storylines. Containing all of the
latent brutality and anger present in Gorlock’s 2006 release,
Destination Time Yesterday, this 8 song cdep and 10” inch kicks up the
confrontation meter, registering near inflammatory in the realm of requisite
nihilism and undeserved sarcasm. Destination Time Tomorrow is being
released in support of a Spring 2007 European tour and continues the so
called “racket” of intensity and life affirming violence synonymous with
Graf Orlock. Piink or red) 10.00

LA QUIETE / LOUISE CYPHRE split 10" (electric human project - An absurd
team up of two unreal European bands. Featuring members of Raein,
Italy's La Quiete contribute four tracks of melodic, yet distraught screamy
hardcore. Their sound harks back to the early 90's emo scene of bands
like Mohinder, Inkwell, and Frail. On the flip side is Germany's Louise
Cyphre, who's sound is along the lines of the breakneck insanity that
Usurp Synapse, Jeromes Dream, and Page Ninety Nine brought to the mix in
the late 90's. Crazy change ups, and guitar tones similiar to Daughters
and The Dillinger Escape Plan. Now available again on colored vinyl.)
11.00

LP

AMPERE/ SINALOA split LP (ebullition - Ampere continues their
emo-violent attack with 7 new tracks bursting with rage and harsh beauty.
Sinaloa's 5 tracks are more traditional emotive hardcore without the rage and
violence. They have a definite Moss Icon feel to their sound. Melodic
and passionate. Both formats come packaged in full color covers with a
full color insert as well as a booklet.) 11.00

ARCADE FIRE the Funeral LP (merge - GATEFOLD!! An intense spectacle
even on record, this rather large ensemble hailing from Montreal is on a
mission. Prepare to get caught up in it all! “look out below” indeed...
The Arcade Fire bring a theatricality, an intensity, an insanity, and a
penchant for amazing hooks to their debut full length release, Funeral.
You have never heard such energy, such beauty and such emotion from
such a young band. Fans of Neutral Milk Hotel, Broken Social Scene, and
Roxy Music's first two albums will have a new favorite band, The Arcade
Fire!) 15.50

ARCADE FIRE Neon Bible 2xLP (US-Press) (MERGE - US-PRESS ON MERGE, 180G
VINYL!! The eagerly anticipated second album from Montreal's Arcade
Fire exceeds all expectations. Neon Bible was written, produced, arranged,
and performed by the Arcade Fire and recorded throughout 2006 in
Quebec, New York, Budapest, and London with recording and engineering help
from Markus Dravs (Bjork, Brian Eno) and Scott Colburn (Animal Collective,
Sun City Girls). With string and orchestral arrangements by the band's
own Owen Pallet (also Final Fantasy) and Regine Chassagne, Neon Bible
is full of both half-assed punk rock mistakes and meticulously
orchestrated woodwinds. Processed strings and mandolin. Quiet rumbles and loud
rumbles. But mostly just eleven songs that the band thinks are really
good!) 22.00

AVAIL Satiate LP (old glory – we got a handful of this classic record -
Avail's debut LP. Pop/punk/rock/hardcore/emo fusion that's absolutely
brilliant.) 11.00

BALLAST fuse LP (stonehenge - 2nd full length by this Montreal band
will be ready in September ’06 right for their 2nd european tour. Intense
and passionate mix of peace punk roots with crusty punk harshness,
emotions, hooks and strong female/male vocals. You can compare it to Lost
World and Post Regiment, and you'll find a nice cover song o this
record.) 9.50

BATTLES atlas 12 (warp - May 2007 sees the release of "Mirrored,"
Battles' first album proper and a significant measure of evolution from a
band that has yet to cease moving. The first single, "Atlas," is a
verifiable anthem, unrelenting and gigantic, and never surrendering the
skewed aesthetic of the band's past) 10.00

BATTLES - Mirrored ltd DLP (warp - Recent Guardian Guide Single Of The
Week-ers Battles release their hugely anticipated debut album proper.
Prepare to be dazzled by what some are already hailing as the album of
the year. Battles are gods, superheroes sent to save us from musical
mediocrity and ‘Mirrored’ is a colossal masterpiece begging to join your
record collection. The preceding single, ‘Atlas’, has been receiving
some giddy coverage both online & in the press with full marks
everywhere (including an unprecedented 10/10 from Drowned In Sound) as well as
Single Of The Weeks in The Guardian, NME and some of the coolest radio
shows across the land, 6Music & XFM. The album accolades can only get
better and if you haven’t got your hands on a ticket for one of their
May dates, you’d better do so quick as they are fast selling out.
‘Mirrored’ is available on CD (initial quantities in gatefold wallet
packaging with A3 poster) and limited edition double vinyl (again, featuring
a free poster)) 21.00

CHRIST ON PARADE Sounds Of Nature LP (prank - This 19-track reissue
collects the "Sounds Of Nature" LP, both the band's tracks from the
Thrasher Skate Rock Vol. 3 compilation, the "Isn't Life A Dream" EP from 1986
(all long out of print) and a previously unreleased Avengers cover.
Comes beautifully packaged with the original cover art. Christ On Parade
played an integral role in the scene that surrounded Gilman Street at
its beginnings and Bay Area hardcore punk during that era. Now available
on vinyl.) 11.50

COMADRE burn your bones LP (adagio830 – since the 1st press has been
sold out so fast we press ed another 500 copies. 100 copies come on
black/ yellow swirl. we finally have it here and it looks awesome. I can´t
describe it ? but you get two in once. Hahaha ...
This is COMADRE's third release and second full length... and as
always, it is released on their own records label, Blood Town Records. The
progression that has been made between COMADRE's last releases and this
one is obvious. 10 songs that test COMADRE's musical creativity while
remaining loud, chant-filled, heart-felt, and punk as fuck. Recommended
for fans of Orchid, Usurp Synapse, PG.99, Reversal of Man, etc... brutal
stuff,) 10.00

DECEMBERISTS, the - Picaresque ltd DLP (kill rock stars - Soaring
Portland rock combo the DECEMBERISTS return with their highly anticipated
new album. Produced by CHRIS WALLA (DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE) in a Portland
church, the band delivers their most ambitious and fullest sounding
record to date. The quintet blazes through more instrumental variations than
can be listed here, for a heightened urgency and depth to their sharply
written lyrical scenarios. Eleven songs.) 22.00

DECEMBERISTS, the - Her Majesty, The Decemberists (180G) LP(jealous
butchers -
DEFIANCE, OHIO Share What Ya Got LP (no idea - No Idea Records presents
the re-release of an early offering from Defiance, Ohio, who play a
fun, upbeat style of political punk with country influences, incorporating
violin, cello, banjo and upright bass.) 11.50

DNTEL dumb luck LP (sub pop - Thirteen years after starting to work
under the Dntel moniker and almost six years after releasing his last
Dntel full-length, Life is Full of Possibilities (Plug Research), Jimmy
Tamborello has painstakingly built and birthed Dumb Luck, an album five
years in the making. In addition to his own vocals on the title track,
the record’s sometimes spacious, sometimes texturally intense
compositions center around vocal contributions from Jenny Lewis (Rilo Kiley),
Edward Droste (Grizzly Bear), Valerie Trebeljahr and Markus Acher of Lali
Puna, Mia Doi Todd, Grant Olsen and Sonya Westcott (Arthur & Yu), Andrew
Broder (Fog), Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes) and Christopher and Jennifer
Gunst (Mystic Chords of Memory). Chris Hathwell (Moving Units) plays
drums throughout, and Paul Larson (The Minor Canon) adds guitar as well.
Thick with Tamborello’s signature sampler finessing, warm electronic
washes and genius beat placement, Dumb Luck is an album lyrically as much
about human distance as connection. Like Mistake Mistake Mistake
Mistake (Plug Research), his 2006 release under the name James Figurine, and
The Postal Service’s 2003 release Give Up, Tamborello meticulously
labored over each element in his LA home studio. This is Dntel’s first
album with Sub Pop.) 15.50

ELLIOTT SMITH new moon DLP (kill rock stars - "New Moon" contains 24
tracks recorded between 1994 and 1997 when Elliott Smith was working on
his now-classic albums on Kill Rock Stars, with seven coming from his
self-titled effort and eleven coming from "Either/Or." All of these songs
are completed studio recordings, not demos or outtakes with the
packaging coming with a booklet with liner notes from some of Smith's closest
friends.)19.00

HEAVY WINGED - we grow ltd LP (not not fun - Today is the greatest.
Cause time has come for total take off. Brooklyn/PDX instrumental
interstellar overdrivers Heavy Winged deliver the most gravity-crushing pair of
fight-flight journeys in their entire cumulative psych revolution thus
far. And it is glorious. We Grow is the apex realization of every
tectonic assault, wind tunnel vortex, and outer space meltdown HW have ever
unleashed across the past 15 months worth of stunning CDRs, splits, and
comp appearances. The A side, “A Stretch of Time,” slow-burns an ascent
into explosive galactic violence, guitars, bass, and drums detonating
into endless feedback fireworks. Then “Shifting Clouds” closes the
album, marching a drifting riff of haze and mass into a majestic no man’s
land of darkening space. A masterpiece record, and packaged accordingly.
Blackened-blue vinyl LPs with collage center labels housed in
full-color pro-printed jackets, in sleeves adorned with rad oval vinyl stickers,
plus a hand-numbered insert. Limited t0 450.) 12.50

HOT WATER MUSIC Fuel For The Hate Game LP (no idea - "Fuel For The Hate
Game" is one of the earliest, and possibly best, full-lengths from this
influential Gainesville indie rock band whose powerful sounding music
with gruff vocals would put out numerous full-lengths and EPs for labels
like No Idea, Some and Epitaph. Now available on colored vinyl.) 11.50

ISIS Celestial DLP (escape artist - GO NUTS! The long overdue, long out
of print Celestial vinyl double-LP is finally back, and undoubtedly for
a very limited time. The new version has completely revamped artwork
and packaging in varnished, heavyweight gatefold jacket, color vinyl, and
an oversize 11x33 poster insert.) 21.00

JAI ALAI SAVANT, The "Flight of the Bass Delegate" LP (GSL - THE
JAI-ALAI SAVANT is the dub/reggae-rock brainchild of former FRANKLIN frontman
Ralph Darden and Flight of the Bass Delegate is the band’s full-length
debut. The varied content of the album provides a glimpse into the
“science fair for the creatively insane he hosts inside his head” as The
FADER Magazine put it in a recent interview. While songs like the
dub-heavy "Akebono" and “Low Frequent See” and reggae-rock “Scarlett
Johansson, Why Don’t You Love Me” take their inspiration from the daily grind of
working and ex-girlfriends, most of the album’s tracks are centered
around a dark, semi-autobiographical concept involving a “superhero who
loses his fucking mind and is forced to leave his city as it is attacked
by mechanical invaders”. Album art is once again provided by Damon
Locks of the like-minded ETERNALS.) 12.00

JESU sun down / sun rise 12" (aurora boralis - Never one to rest on
previous innovations, Justin Broadrick has been forging ahead once again,
marrying his trademark bass-heavy riffs with an almost Phil Spector-ish
pop sensibility creating anthems of melancholic euphoria. Half buried
clean singing collides with speaker rattling low end, blissed out
humming resonance and machine beats to create an otherworldly ghost pop, as
beautiful as it is unsettling. The Sundown/Sunrise EP picks up where
2006's Silver EP left off, this time taking two songs and stretching them
out over 32 minutes, mixing the bittersweet melody with huge swathes of
oceanic drone and minimilist electronica - this is by far the most
accomplished and ambitious that Jesu have sounded to date. Colored vinyl –
just a few) 18.00

LOGH north LP (bad taste - Logh's North is about as self-explanatory as
they come. The album is an open-ended story of orientation and
alienation, coping with loss, and the all too difficult process of moving on.
It's really simple, and there's not many surprises behind the scenes;
Logh tells it like it is and the plot unravels without hesitation. The
music functions similarly by creating a strong base for the vocals and
moving from point A to point B with great efficiency and skill. Together
these forces work flawlessly to craft a balanced album of significant
accomplishment... Up until now North hasn't really piqued your interest,
but noting that the album is a significant accomplishment surely merits
some sort of formal discussion. Otherwise, it's just another indie
rock/pop album among the crowd. But quickly the magic of North reveals
itself...) 16.50

MAGRUDERGRIND Rehashed LP (six weeks - Magrudergrind have led the
recent charge of youth thrash bands to infest the USA in the last few years.
After highly acclaimed records on labels such as Robotic Emprire, Punks
Before Profits, To Live A Lie and Torture Picture Garden, it's high
time they released a full length LP of their own. Now, Six Weeks presents
"Rehashed," a deadly grinding thrahscore record 18 hymns long and sure
to devastate the grindcore and hardcore scenes alike!) 11.00

MELT BANANA Bambi's Dilemma LP (a zap - On their sixth full-length
studio release Melt-Banana exercise a hitherto undetected area of their
musical musculature: the "rock" region. The truth is MxBx makes music as
they please, relying solely on their own maverick talent to get them
where they need to be. These eighteen tracks careen from extreme,
fast-blast attacks to more serene moments (usually reserved for non-album
releases) to the band's revolutionary new, guitar and bass-less
"Theremin-core." Now available on vinyl.) 13.00

MILHOUSE Obscenity In Milk LP (wreck age – a classic album. Fast,
noisy, Born Against-influenced hardcore. Featuring people who were either in
or went on to; Indecision, Most Precious Blood, Kill Your Idols, Radio
4, Celebrity Murders. Classic early 90's LIHC with a Ebullition/ABC-no
rio sound.) 10.50

MODEST MOUSE We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank DLP (universal -
Hailing from Issaquah, WA, Modest Mouse formed in 1994. Although the band
lineup has undergone several transformations, the band now consists of
lead singer/guitarist and songwriter Isaac Brock, longtime bassist Eric
Judy, drummer Jeremiah Green, ex-Smiths guitar god Johnny Marr, and
relative newcomers Joe Plummer and Tom Peloso. The follow-up to the
platinum-selling and Grammy-nominated Good News... album, We Were Dead Before
The Ship Even Sank is a new chapter in Modest Mouse's career with the
new infusion of Johnny Marr and the extra percussion muscle brought by
Plummer and the Peloso. Produced by Good News... helmer Dennis Herring,
the new album features several songs that the band played live during
their 2-week-long sold-out runs in LA and NY, including the instant
radio hit "Dashboard".) 19.00

NINE it's your funeral LP (combat rock industry - Although constantly
labeled as "hardcore", Swedish outfit Nine has little in common with
Agnostic Front or Stamping Ground. Still, if the aforementioned label is
to be used simply as an adjective, then hardcore they are. Simply put,
Nine's music is essentially rock 'n' roll, rather heavy and metalized
though it is, and the term "death rock" coined by Entombed and the like
might be the best to describe what one might expect from _It's Your
Funeral_.
The tracks are all slow to mid-tempo, relying on downtuned guitars and
a tight rhythm section; the riffs are simple and catchy, while melodies
are present but by no means dominant. Singer Johan Lindquist roars and
screams, and while his distorted vocals seem the logical ingredient on
the heavier "Bird of Prey" and "Venom", some actual singing would have
greatly benefited the more melancholic "Nothing Left for the Vultures"
and "Bleeding Hearts". Still, even without much musical variety, _It's
Your Funeral_ has enough power and gusto to deserve one's undivided
attention) 11.50

PINK RAZORS Waiting To Wash Up LP (robotic empire - Rebuilding pop-punk
from the ground up is by no means an easy task, but Richmond, VA's PINK
RAZORS have boiled down the genre into its purest elements and improved
upon it leaps and bounds. With no song crossing the two-minute mark,
each track is packed with memorable melodies over fast, powerhouse
rhythms. This all happens so fast you barely know what hit you, but still
manage to get the songs firmly stuck inside your head. Sometimes snotty,
sometimes dark, yet always up-tempo and immensely catchy, "Waiting to
Wash Up" will have you singing along to desperate, cynical, and hopeful
songs alike. Fans of the former East Bay and Chicago heyday are likely
to rank this up there with current favorites (ala Dillinger Four and
Toys That Kill), and appreciate this long overdue, fresh approach to
power-chord punk rock.) 11.00

QUEM QUARTITIS/ Child Pornography split Lp (not not fun – green vinyl.
LA is a sprawl, no doubt, but the deserts get dryest out in the sick
sticks of Riverside. Ever since we first trekked out to the Pixel Palace
(RIP) and had our skulls redefined, the 92501 crew have struck us as
maybe the truest keepers of the So-Cal house party bombing freak-wave
flame. The scene's since changed of course, but these two bands were/are
the kings of old-school Inland Empire radicalism. Quem Quaeritis are no
more, sadly, but the trio's jams here show beyond a shadow of a doubt
why they fucking ruled. Jesus-bent weird-hop, Laker boat free-jazz, and
post-political tent spiritualism mesh into a holy trinity of lunatic
Americana. No genres, no rules, spring break freedom turned inside out.
Child Pornography have been rocking/annoying west coasters since nearly
9/11, and their game still ain't up. Nine spazzy rants of
Suicide-on-pixie-sticks Casio-babble, dumb-wave guitar shred, and helium-keyed
stream of consciousness word barf. Enough outsider vibes and confusing
nonsense to irritate even the stone-chillest board-short bro. In fancy
printed matte jackets with face-collage scribble Erin Allen artwork, on
kryptonite green vinyl. Edition of 420.) 12.00

RACCOO-OO-OON - Behold Secret Kingdom LP (not not fun – You know what
they say: beautiful tribal spirit psych lies in the eyes of the
beholder. So enter the kingdom and hold the secret in your hands. Iowa City’s
prodigal sun-starers offer up the fruits of their deepest inquest yet
into the heart of the heart of the country. Eight wilderness rituals of
swirling percussion, mossy guitar noise, forest howls, and animal
instincts that unfold and erupt with more focus, intensity, and complexity
than anything else in Raccoo-oo-oon’s discography thus far. The songs
were tracked in the studio with warmth and power by Mike Dixon and then
given a heavy mastering job by Pete Swanson, so sonically the vinyl
shines and burns and explodes in all the right places. A crushing statement
of electric alchemy by one of our favorite bands in the world. Black
vinyl LPs in awesome pro-printed jackets, plus an insert, with Midwestern
magick color visions/nature photography art by the band.) 12.50

RITES OF SPRING end on end LP(dischord - One of the forefathers of
emotional post punk and hardcore, this classic mid '80s era D.C. band
features Guy Picciotto and Brendan Canty who later formed FUGAZI. Back in
stock) 11.50

SAGE FRANCIS Human The Death Dance DLP (anti - Rapper, activist, and
cultural provocateur SAGE FRANCIS offers his most personal and fully
realized work to date. With topics ranging from 9-to-5 cubicle madness to
addiction to sex and hip hop, Francis delves into very real issues with
wit and intensity. Sixteen tracks featuring guest collaborations from
BUCK 65, JOLIE HOLLAND, and noted film composer MARK ISHAM. Includes
songs written by Isham and Francis for the upcoming Edward Norton/Colin
Farrell film, Pride & Glory.) 17.00

SEA AND CAKE Everybody LP (thrill jockey - VINYL FORMAT. Their first
full-length in over four years continues to perfect their singular brand
of dreamlike, hot-buttered pop music that sounds delicately
handcrafted, yet effortless all the same. Sheets of glowing guitar tones skip
along propulsive percussion underscored by gently funky, introspective bass
lines, all adorned by breathlessly delivered lines of lyrical poetry.)
15.50

SIGNAL LOST Prosthetic Screams LP (prank - Austin, Texas's Signal
Lost's second LP "Prosthetic Screams" combines a Wipers-styled guitar
moodiness, Avengers-esque sung female vocals, an on-point rhythm section,
altogether echoing everything from mid-period TSOL, classic '80s New Wave,
UK peace punk and at the same time reveling in the same dark outlook
and spirit akin to most stuff on the Prank label.) 11.00

SMOG rain on lens LP (drag city - There have been dark records by
Chicagoan Bill Callahan. There have been wilfully obscure ones too, but
there has never been one as single-mindedly dour as this) 14.00

SMOG red apple falls LP (domino - smog's beautiful 1996 album should be
in any fans collection. one of his quietest most assured albums, which
although full of the usual callahan moody introspection is of of his
most accessible. highlights include the dark 'blood red bird', the
country of 'i was a stranger' and the velvets style gem 'ex-con'. wonderful!)
14.00

SWING KIDS discography picture ltd LP(erika - A limited (2000 copies!)
picture disc version of the 31G released CD discography. In case you
didn't know, Swing Kids existed during the mid-'90s and were in the same
league as Drive Like Jehu, Angel Hair, or Antioch Arrow. Noisy, fast,
and always verging on total chaos. Members went on to form such
noteworthy bands as the Locust, the Crimson Curse, Spanakorzo, Bread and
Circuits, Holy Molar, and Sweep The Leg Johnny. New from Erika Records.)
14.50

THE ERGS Upstairs/Downstairs LP (dirtnap - This New Jersey-based trio
draws influences from the strongest sections of the SST catalog, pop
punk in the vein of both Ramones and Descendents, country, and even jazz.
With multiple records and EPs, they are also proving to be one of the
more prolific bands, quickly picking up steam and becoming one of the
premier pop punk bands on the East Coast.) 12.00

THE SCARABEUSDREAM sample your heartbeat to stay alive LP (wire globe -
Sample Your Heartbeat To Stay Alive by The Scarabeusdream is about
going through the desert. Their musical style can be described by many
opposites, classic and modern, gentleness and aggression, which come
together as close as possible. The result of only playing piano, drums turns
out to be the reduction to minimal essentials on the one hand, but also
huge orchestral sounds on the other hand. Melancholy and destruction
are pushing things forward to build up the crescendo of life. The album
is telling a story: being so tried of always trying to make a change and
screaming out “new philosophy” the same time. From this point to “be
even here, when nobody cares” there is sample your heartbeat to stay
alive. “The Scarabeusdream – a mixture of White Stripes, Sigur Rós and
Aphex Twin.” M. Thornhill, XL-Records) 14.00

TOKEN ENTRY Jaybird / The Weight Of The World DLP (durty mick records -
When you talk about the heydey of New York Hardcore, it'd be impossible
to do it without mentioning one of the most important bands of the
time, Token Entry. Hailing from Queens, NY, and fronted by local hero Timmy
Chunks, the band made a name for themselves by constantly playing in
and around New York, developing a loyal following of both punk and
hardcore kids alike and becoming a mainstay of the flourishing NYHC scene.
Token Entry's second full-length, "Jaybird," originally released in 1988
on Roadrunner Records imprint label Hawker Records, took their
signature sound of punk rock influenced hardcore to the next level. Blending
the back-bone and groove of bands like Bad Brains with the positive force
of bands like 7 Seconds, "Jaybird" hits hard with standout tracks such
as the album's opener "The Fire," the title-track "Jaybird," and the
the band's own theme song "Token Entry." Following up the critical
acclaim of "Jaybird," Token Entry pushed the hardcore/punk envelope even
further with their finale, 1990's "The Weight Of The World." Their 3rd LP
showcased the band stretching their musical wings, incorporating rock,
metal, and even funk influences into their songs. Token Entry was an
important part of the history of New York Hardcore, and their influence is
still being felt today. Now these two classic albums will be available
again, together in one place, for old and new fans alike.) 17.00

BELLY BOAT Dear Robert Hanoy CD (not not fun - All aboard, gang. After
23 months of back-and-forth and waiting/wondering, Zoe and Silvie have
finally docked the debut Belly Boat album in NNF harbor, and we are
BEYOND happy about it. Dear Robert Hanoy is a scratchy, expansive
masterpiece, 14 sung songs of outsider ragtime, rambling European café waltz,
and charismatic lyrical chemistry. Influenced equally by Cocorosie,
Celine Dion, and Chamillionaire (circa “Ridin’ Dirty”), BB weave piano,
accordion, and dueling voices into a freaky, frayed woolen mitten of
strange emotions. Put it on, feel weird, throw a snowball. This is a
storybook soundtrack for barefoot exploration and natural wonder, culled from
years of face-painting, taking pictures of horses, and making best
friends laugh. CDs come with full-color 8-panel booklets of artwork by
Belly Boat, in sleeves sewn with grunge flannel, strung with grey
yarn/clear beads, and flecked with gold dust. Limited to 500.) 9.50

GRAF ORLOCK Destination Time Tomorrow Cdep (vendetta - "Destination
Time Tomorrow" is the second installment of Graf Orlock's time bending
cinemagrind trifecta, based on an array of cloudily interconnected
storylines. Containing all of the latent brutality and anger present in Graf
Orlock's 2006 release, "Destination Time Yesterday," this 8 song CDEP
kicks up the confrontation meter, registering near inflammatory in the
realm of requisite nihilism and undeserved sarcasm. "Destination Time
Tomorrow" is being released in support of a spring 2007 European tour and
continues the so-called "racket" of intensity and life affirming
violence synonymous with Graf Orlock - the cover is sick – but you all know
alien the movie) 9.50

GRAILS Burning Off Impurities CD (temporary residence – the new long
expected album. The LP version will bere next week) 13.50

JOB FOR A COWBOY Genesis CD (metal blade - The past few years have seen
Arizona's Job For A Cowboy catapult from a local favorite to
international metal phenomenon, with over 17,000 of their self-released demo
being sold and tours booked alongside Killswitch Engage and Unearth. Their
hybrid style of death metal and grind is finally going to be
represented in a full-length format with the release of "Genesis," their debut
effort for Metal Blade Records.) 14.00

MYRA LEE "2" CD (theatre records/ rejunivation - beautiful noiserock
from France in the vein of Hammerhead meets Yaphet Kotto .. strange but
true. Good stuff - packed in a nice screenprinted cardboard gatefold CD
cover - Limted to 500) 9.50

NEUROSIS given to the rising CD (limted version) (neurot - brand new
album from the legendary outfit neurosis, the album was produced by steve
albini from shellac, this version comes in a limited gatefold sleeve
and is limited to only 1500 copies, these guys have been making some of
the very finest metal edged post rock for many years now and could even
be considered to be one of the main inventors of this particular brand
of industrial metal meets hypnotic post rock, this new album sees them
move further into the realms of heavy electronic influenced metal that
bands like isis are well known for, the album is a real sprawling mix
of heavy synth sounds along with big distorted guitars and those
distinctive gutteral vocal howls, may 2007) 18.50

ROB CROW "Living Well" CD (temporary residence - Somewhere between the
breakneck touring to support Pinback's breakthrough Touch and Go debut,
'Summer in Abaddon', and the release of The Ladies' debut album (his
collaboration with Zach Hill of Hella/Team Sleep), the impossibly
prolific Rob Crow had an epiphany: SLOW DOWN. Not coincidentally, this
revelation occurred shortly after the birth of his first child (named
Robertdale Crow III, of course). Crow's time at home was suddenly more
important than ever. His family is all over 'Living Well', his third solo
album: in the album title, the artwork (layered with dozens of family
photos), and the intensely personal lyrics which document Crow's courtship
with his wife, their marriage, and the subsequent birth of their first
child. Not only is 'Living Well' Crow's finest solo album by a country
mile, it also transcends many of Pinback's most canonic moments. It has
the hooks and heart that he is famous for, with a refined focus not seen
in Crow's other projects.) 13.00

ROBEDOOR Christ's Vipers CD (choclate - Voices, confusion, poisons. An
endless fade to grey.
"Slow smoke jams from Californian sloth worshipers. Total monochrome
lurches into the feedback hole. Like a mouthful of black strawberries.
Great dementia."
--Chocolate Monk "Great full-length from this LA duo courtesy of
Chocolate Monk, four tracks that bridge chasms of silence with eerily coded
electricity, lurking semi-audible drones, the sound of distant tectonic
displacement and full-on ecstatic vocal/fuzz lethargy that makes you
feel like the top of your skull is gonna pop. Beautiful." --Volcanic
Tongue) 6.00

( UNION OF ) URANUS to this bearer truth CD (great american steak
religion - This band , for better or worse, changed the path, and the
pattern of modern hardcore. How to describe this? Chaos, fury, emotional
strife, and a paranoid fear of a technocratic future all blended with a
musical delivery that is equivalent to total sonic insanity. This gives
many people a chance to save some money and have all of their output on a
Cd and makes for the return of a great Canadian band long since dead.
The packaging is as good as you can possibly get! Copied stylistically
almost as much as His Hero Is Gone! Includes the “Disaster By Design” 2x
7”, the split with HHIG (demo), Immoral Squad split 7”, and a Negative
Approach cover.") 11.00

YUMA NORA Jewels In the Snakepit CD (not not fun - I flipped out the
first time we saw Yuma Nora in a small Riverside living room – where both
Jake and Aaron were shirtless and Amy (sorry guys) was wearing a
stained white slip complete with silver sparkly medieval mask. This is like
free jazz soulful sex scattered beat noise brass explosion meets the
nicest, quirkiest minds from the dreary Portland streets. We’ve been
screaming about them for months as the stupid ass world finally wakes up to
their “genius” (-Wire fucking Magazine !). Amy’s sultry as hell,
Aaron’s got tribal blues, and Jake’s guitar is barely-there perfection. And
thus, the Oregon rain clouds parted to reveal Yuma Nora, brewing up
their own storm.) 9.50

TAPE

PERTH EXPRESS discography tape (If you like this new Doomriders/Lords
stuff mixed up with some TRAGEDY and older MASTODON - this will burn
your ears. Its BRUTAL and the sounds is just amazing - this contains the
s/t lp, the 10", the songs from the split 7" with hellström and their
demo) 4.00

SASQROTCH Myth of the Hirsute Tape (not not fun – First time we saw
Sasqrotch play was at a bowling alley bar after a Robedoor set, and it was
PERFECT. A guitarist decked out in a baffling bearded-elf costume from
the neck up (complete with rubbery oversized ears) stared at his
guitar, holding an amp-eating drone tone with some wah-pedal oscillation
while bassist and another dude crouched in front of speaker cabinets,
drinking in the low-end, the whole place just fucking QUAKING with sound.
Then third man moved over to the drums, counted some shit off, and let
loose. We were floored. Lumbering untamed electric wilderness howling
through lucid streets of puke and ice. Basement Sabbath breakdowns.
Wasted, sub-human distortion. Basically: savage awesomeness. So here is “Myth
of the Hirsute,” Sasqrotch’s debut release, a brutal, blown-out
snapshot/C38 of the North Hollywood power trio’s hairy grandeur in action.
Black tapes in hand-stamped origami-folded metallic paper sleeves adorned
with fang/sequin braids, and limited to 100.) 6.00

PUNK ATTITUDE a film by Don Letts 2xDVD (capital entertainment - In
1976 a cultural meltdown was occurring. From this emerged a new scene:
PUNK ROCK. Controversial, colorful and chaotic, it was a slap in the face
of the establishment and a cultural movement that is still ingrained in
the public consciousness. This film identifies the roots of this
movement that is still ingrained in the public consciousness. This film
identifies the roots of this tradition from America to the U.K. and beyond
showing that punk was not just a musical movement but an attitude of
mind that is not, in any way static. Featuring interviews with Henry
Rollins (Black Flag), Brendan Mullen (The Masque club owner), Chryssie Hynde

und hier das neuste:

Hi
Its raining like hell – so you might sit at home and have time to study
the newslist …

This time we have a LAND OF SMILES labelspecial, land of smiles is a
philadelphia based doom/ sludge metal label, that only releases vinyl,
all of the releases are limited to 500 copies, all on heavy 180 gr vinyl,
useally he doesn’t do any wholesale as all is releases are sold out a
few days afer being released…, he gave us the chance to carry his stuff
as he wants someone in europe having it…, but as he never does
wholesale his “wholesale” prices are quiet expensive, so we have to sell his
releases quite expensive, sorry…, but at least there is a chance to get
it now, as most of it is not even available from the label anymore…
As we already talk about our prices, the us postal service raised it’s
prices in may, most of their prices are doubled now, so that might
explain, why some us releases are not that cheap…, sorry but there is no
way to avoid this…

The B.SON & GHOST LIMB Lps ar eat the pressing plant – so I hope we
have everything here sooon!!!

We got lots of restocks and old stuff – so check out the mailorder J

We almost get new stuff everyday – so you can check the website for
daily updates

Here we go w/ some news to start this summer

7“

BLOODLET husk 7“ (structure – their 3rd rare 7“ from 1993. we found a
few copies) 4.00

CRIME DESIRE In Lucifer's Grip 7" (life´s a rape - Playing a truly
demented style of hardcore punk, San Diego's Crime Desire feature an
ex-member of Find Him And Kill Him and unleash five tracks of raging violence
with manic high-pitched vocals, taking cues from bands like Dropdead
and Septic Death.) 4.50

DAUNTLESS ELITE / MERCURY LEAGUE split 7" (yo yo records - Two brand
new tracks from two of the finest UK punk rock bands currently doing the
round) 4.00

DESTROY L.A. Vandalize 7" (no way out - 1980's skate punk is alive and
well with Destroy L.A., who seem to pay tribute to the old
Nardcore/Mystic bands on this debut EP, taking influence from bands like RKL, Ill
Repute and Dr. Know.) 5.00

ENGINE DOWN "same" 7" (lovitt - their FIRST AMAZING 7inch.
Harrisonburg, Virginia's Engine Down sprung forth from the ashes of Sleepytime
Trio, and this seven-inch is an introduction to this intense quartet.
Methodical, intricate, and beautiful guitar musings (featuring original
guitarist Jeremy) lull you into submission only so you can be set up for
the explosion that awaits. There is no time to waste, and Engine Down
are ready to show you how to do the stop, drop, and roll when you realize
this record has you on fire!) 4.50

LEMURIA / THE ERGS! split 7" (art of the underground/ yo yo - The
Ergs!, from New Jersey, are back with 2 new tracks of their Descendents
and Replacements influenced power-punk to meet up with Lemuria, from
Buffalo, NY, who bring you chilling melodies influenced by Discount and
Superchunk.) 4.00

PRESSURE Death's Head 7" (6131 - After releasing the critically
acclaimed "Beasts" EP last year, Pressure had a lot to live up to with their
follow-up release. "Death's Head" features two new original songs of
riff driven hardcore and an amazing cover of Bad Brains' "Pay To Cum"
which more than lives up to expectations. With this release, Pressure has
raised the bar to a point only they are able to reach.) 5.00

RACCOO-OO-OON - s/t 7" (gilgongo - Released along side their newest
full length, "Behold Secret Kingdom", Iowa City's Raccoo-oo-oon's self
titled 7" has three new and exclusive songs, going from dark, erie broken
layers of cello, vocals and percussion (Mud Mound), to the precise,
triumphant and uplifting, post-everything feelings of the actual song,
"Behold Secret Kingdom".) 4.50

THE JURY can´t fight the feeling 7" (Loud Blaring Punk Rock - 5 TRACKS
OF RAW FAST HARDCORE FROM ALBANY NY. THINK CLEVELAND MEETS JAPAN WITH
TOUCH OF POISON IDEA THROWN IN THERE FOR GOOD MEASURE.) 5.00

TOTAL FURY/ THE JURY tour split 7" (gloom records – a nice limited
split 7“ for their US tour) 5.00

10“

EARTHRIDE same 10” ( land of smiles - Vinyl reissue of Earthride's
incredibly rare self-titled, self-released EP from 2000. Maryland Doom at
it's finest. A towering Matamp fueled Sabbath attack of skull crushing
sludge. Riffs so thick, you could crush'em up and snort'em) 16.00

FISTULA for a better tomorrow 10” (land of smiles - The Ohio sludge
masters return with new drummer Jason Corley of -16-. Yeah, and you
thought they couldn't get any heavier...You cannot make music any heavier
and/or profoundly real than this. There is absolutely NO bullshit or
pretentious arty intention here. This is a metal-pure throwdown of
enormous, here and now, foot in your ass power and fury. If you distill anger
and frustration, concentrate it to the point of super-saturation,
pressurize it until reaches a critical mass volatility, and then convert
this explosive energy into sonic heaviness, you have Fistula, the highest
form of musical metal malevolence available. No serious collection of
modern music is complete without an ample supply of the violent metal
vortex that is Fistula. Every recorded note from these masters of
malignant metal menace is essential. Every composition reveals a deeper layer
of raw anger-energy, stripped to its core for all to hear. Fistula is
able to look straight through the fake outer shell of events and people
in their lives and translate the duplicity, lies, and backstabbing they
see into a mighty maelstrom of kill-metal. No other band is as able to
get right to the heart of the matter, expose the evil they find there,
and punish the guilty with enormously vicious hymns from hell. They
lance the festering sores of miserable human nature and rip the guts out
of the phony, two-faced bastards we all are forced to deal with, with
crushing chords, soul splitting screams, boulder-sized bass lines, and
cranium splitting drum hammering that truly destroy the lesser bands that
dare to tread the same territory. Such bands fall short and are
revealed to be charlatans who wither and die before the sonic roar of power
generated by Fistula, mere pretenders to the king's throne of heaviness.)
16.00

SOLACE hammerhead 10” (land of smiles - Very indefatigable and just
laminated with aggression and travail. The guitars bask upon oceans of
wha while the drums eject pure primal malfeasance as if snorting rails of
abhor. The Sabbathism of the album run arm and arm with bands such as
Bongzilla or Goatnsnake) 16.00

LP

BEHOLD! THE LIVING CORPSE same LP ( land of smiles - featuring Sanford
Parker (Buried at Sea and producer of Pelican, Rwake) and Velcro Lewis
and Bill Roe (Velcro Lewis and His 100 Proof Band), with a cast of
other Chicago veterans. Dualing distorted basses, titanically resonant
drums, and layers of demonic crooning paint an apocalyptic landscape where
the stench of Godflesh, charring in a distant Buzzoven, fills the air.
The production is wholly Sanford's trademark warm, analog sound and the
tracks are surprisingly coherent in feel and production given the span
of time across which these were recorded. These songs are absolutely a
trip down a dark, dark path. Before you see the light you must die, and
the catharsis of becoming the living corpse begins with the noises of
overdriven Hell downloading into your pathetic mortal brain until you
are at last revived by the feeling of carnivorous seabirds peacefully
pecking at your zombie brain. Ltd to 500) 16.00

BLINDFOLD asteroid 164 LP (good life - This time this Belgian band opt
for a varying sound, taking the emotion & melody of Quicksand and
Shelter, while throwing in some heavy Slayer style riffs, & mixing it with a
bit of a moodier sound with abstract lyrics.) 9.00

THE BOMB Indecision LP (no idea - The vinyl version of their CD on
Thick! LP comes on colored vinyl and is LIMITED to 550! you like Naked
Raygun - you like The Bomb) 11.50

COMEBACK KID Broadcasting LP (victory - Comeback Kid need no
introduction, as they have established themselves as one of the biggest and most
important hardcore bands of their time. Through relentless touring and
two critically acclaimed albums, the band built themselves from playing
basements in their hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba, to spanning the
globe alongside bands like Gorilla Biscuits, Rise Against, Madball, Sick of
it All, Bane and many more. This third full length continues where
"Wake The Dead" left off, with shouting choruses, melodic guitars and
punishing breakdowns. Now available on colored vinyl.) 12.50

CHOKEHOLD content with dying LP (great american steak religion - The
best release from this highly influencial mid 1990's straight edge band.
Features Chris Logan who runs Goodfellow Records. This disc is crucial.
We got some copies of the vinyl which is OOP for a long time. ) 11.50

CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX A Love Of Shared Disasters 2xLP (invada -
Something of a post-rock supergroup, there has been a lot of interest in
Crippled Black Phoenix - thanks I’m sure to sharing a bassist with a
certain Mogwai? When it comes to post rock it’s hard to get more right royal
than those Scottish gentlemen, and as you can imagine their loyal
legions of fans would snap up pretty much anything they are involved with –
but Crippled Black Phoenix is more than a mere side project, and
includes a whole bunch of esteemed folks; Justin Greaves (Electric Wizard),
Joe Volk and Andy Semmens and Kostas Panagiotou (of Panthiest). Luckily
the album lives up to the hype, and although our tastes where whet by a
rather killer 10” ep a few months back, the full-length album is really
where the band find their feet. They claim to use a variety of modern
amplified and Victorian instruments, and Victorian is the first word
that sprung to mind on listening through ‘A Love of Shared Disasters’. It
might be a little clichéd to go all olde worlde when writing largely
instrumental post-rock tracks, but amidst a fog of chimes and rustling
Crippled Black Phoenix really pull a blinder. You know you’re in for
something a bit special when you begin an album with a track called ‘The
Lament of the Nithered Mercenary’ but here’s a track that really lives up
to it’s name; a creaking, blustering lament replete with deep wordless
vocals and half-heard organ sounds. This could be Wolfmangler or
Aethnor it’s so doom-laden and demonic, but then we’re catapulted into
something a little more upbeat with the album’s second track ‘Really, How’d
it get this Way?’. The transition from dark into light is slightly
jarring, but somehow it works – and this is a technique the band uses
throughout the album, sliding from new to old and back again, light and dark,
good and evil. This is eventually what sets the record apart from so
many other similar albums, although it’s nothing new if you’ve been
following the Constellation catalogue for instance, the expertise in which
it is executed sets it head and shoulders above the competition. It’s an
album that needs to be heard and absorbed in its entirety – it is for
me the audio equivalent of shopping in a dusty antique shop. Gorgeous…)

DAITRO Laisser Vivre les Squelletes LP (code of ethics - after the
split 10" with RAEIN here comes the new piece of music by this great
emotive french HC band. very mid-90s influenced melodic screamy hardcore,
representing the "new wave" of french bands of this genre, like AMANDA
WOODWARD, MIHAI EDRISCH, BELLE EPOQUE, APOLLO PROGRAMM etc.) 11.00

D + -no mystery- LP + CD (pw elvrum - elvrum & sun records - D+ is an
indie rock band based in Anacortes, Washington. Formed in 1997 by
singer/guitarist Bret Lunsford and singers/multi-instrumentalists Karl Blau
and Phil Elvrum, the band is perhaps best known for Lunsford's droll
vocals and witty wordplay, and a minimalist, charmingly ramshackle
sound.) 18.00

DÄLEK Abandoned Language DLP (ipecac - When we last left off with
Dälek, they had released Absence, a dark and dirgy romp through hip-hop's
underground that left countless listeners and critics in awe. However,
while it would probably be a good career move to replicate that album's
noisy charm, Dälek have once again reinvented themselves with their
fourth and most accomplished full-length, Abandoned Language. "We've been
making wall of noise records for a long time and I think with Absence we
realized that was as far as we wanted to go with that sound," dälek
(the MC/producer) explains. "That sound was just so heavy and dense, but
the new one is about composition and notes we are playing. The layering
is still there, but the instrumentation is totally different." In fact,
from the sinister strings in "Lynch" to old-school hip-hop flavor of
"Isolated Stare" to the heady melodicism of "Tarnished", Abandoned
Language is complex enough for fans of avant-noise, but accessible enough for
mainstream hip-hop audiences. DLP comes in a nice gatefold) 20.00

DENY EVERYTHING fire this time LP (yoyo - Deny Everything hail from the
depths of western Germany and play a mostly melodic mixture of 80s
hardcore and the contemporary American style (the one without metal…). It
is really good to hear bands playing an angry kind of hardcore that
comes along without constant mosh parts and metal riffing but got one foot
deeply rooted in punk rock. The power derives from the strong notion
that there is something completely rotten in the state of Denmark and
beyond. The bands doesn't have a solution either but the band feels that
there must be something more than this and tries to express this diffuse
hope and the anger about nothing actually getting better in their
songs. The catchy melodies and the on point songwriting (six songs in less
than nine minutes) form an amalgamation of positive outlook and negative
state of being.) 10.00

DOUBLE NEGATIVE- The Wonderful and Frightening World of Double .. LP
(no way out - The long awaited debut album from Raleigh NC's, DOUBLE
NEGATIVE. This album has 10 blasts of Violent, Raging Hardcore Punk. This
band has been at it for a little over a year now, destroying everything
in their path. This album is sure to be an instant classic. Think the
power of "Animosity" Era C.O.C mixed with the Raw aggression of bands
like Discharge and VOID. First Press of 1000 copies,) 12.00

DRUG WAR aim high LP (land of smiles records - Way heavy Boston sludge
punk from some of the dudes that brought you Milligram. This fucker is
loud and angry. Whatever, get high and break shit. Ltd to 500 copies)

FUNERAL DINER underdark LP (alone records – WE GOT SOME COPIES OF THAT
ALREADY OOP record – This is their last amazing album on ALONE
records.) 11.50

GRAILS Burning Off Impurities DLP (temporary residence - "Burning Off
Impurities," the debut album for Grails on Temporary Residence Ltd.,
after two on Neurot, makes good on the promise of these past releases in
delivering an album that not only thrusts the group to new heights, but
also pushes the instrumental rock genre forward. An increased interest
in psychedelic, ambient and world music is most likely to blame for
Grails' exploration of lesser-traveled paths of modern music. In addition,
their eclectic range of collaborative endeavors has introduced an
element of improvisation and reinterpretation of ideas that is both
brilliant and earnest.) 19.00

HATRED SURGE / THE ENDLESS BLOCKADE split LP (schizophrenic – Toronto's
The Endless Blockade start this split off with their own brand of
crushing metallic powerviolence with shrieked vocals while Hatred Surge keep
the tradition of gulf coast grind alive with a male and female vocal
assault howled over powerful, thrashing hardcore.) 12.00

ISIS oceanic DLP (LEVEL PLANE – This is the vinyl repressing of Isis'
2nd full length.) 21.00

KNIFE FIGHT crisis LP (lengua armada – RESTOCK. - "Crisis" is the final
recording by these Southern California legends featuring 10 more songs
of their signature style of hardcore. It's loud, fast and it rules!
Recommended if you like hardcore, punk, or power-violence.) 12.00

LOCUST New Erections LP (anti/ radio surgery – finally on vinyl - The
Locust take hardcore and strip it of even its most remote musical
elements, concentrating instead on the violent mechanics and corrosive sonic
wallop that first scared the parents and excited the kids so many years
ago. On 2007's NEW ERECTIONS, the synth-driven, San Diego-based quartet
sounds as menacing, nihilistic, and succinct as ever on their debut for
the ANTI- label. So herky-jerky in their rhythmic and structural shifts
you almost expect the group's collective necks to snap. But listeners
beware, it is you who will be suing for whiplash by album's end.) 15.00

MARTYR AD Human Condition in Twelve Fractions LP (lifeforce - Three
members of Disembodied and two of their friends have joined forces to
bring us a sound reminiscent of their earlier life, with massive strides
past what was ever accomplished then. Break-neck speeds and technical
perfection, you are treated to an explosion of sound. This is the future
of hardcore.) 9.00

MOUNT EERIE -11 old songs- LP + CD (pw elvrum - There’s nothing like a
bit of Mount Eerie to get you out of your musical cynicism every once
in a while, Phil Elverum (previously known as The Microphones) has a
distinct ability to spit in the face of musical fad and fashion and that’s
exactly what he does here. Taking the backbone of his tracks from a
Casio keyboard, Elverum fashions his mournful yet surprisingly uplifting
songs around this, which gives the strange illusion of lo-fi sleazy
chic. The songs are of course classic Elverum, and if you enjoy his
previous work there’s no way you won’t find some solace here. He’s an indie
king, but he’s unprepared to take his crown from his champions Pitchfork,
he’s unprepared to lose himself in the world of major labels and major
tours… and all power to the feller. This gives his music an edge of
reality, a grounding and an honesty rarely found – and this is why we love
him. As with most of his recent releases this comes on both white vinyl
and cd… you can’t get one without getting the other, which is a pretty
nice touch. Eleven songs, cd and lp – now who can say fairer than that.
) 18.00

MOUNT EERIE no flashlight LP + CD (pw elvrum - the ultra lo-fi
aesthetic predictably remains—the first “No Flashlight” pairs Jandekian guitar
shards and a hand-played trash-can drum set, the drunk tuba of “The
Universe Is Shown” leads a clattering percussion heavy two-minute romp,
and “I Hold Nothing” reveals a flowery guitar melting with carefully
plotted piano and double-tracked vocals. Each song is a ramshackle
affair—obviously composed with complete care and then casually blurred upon its
actual performance. This bleary-eyed aesthetic is an old chestnut of
Elvrum’s and he knows how to work it expertly, squeezing every last ounce
of naïve energy from each instrument and recording take. But as much
as I’d like to make this about the music, Elvrum continually pushes the
lyrical content onto himself or onto Mt. Eerie (the band, the Mt., the
whatever he wants it to be). And because Elvrum’s philosophy is a
rather muddled one (even with a surfeit explanation bordering on the
absurd), it tends to take away from the album at key moments. Musical
highlights like the beautifully hummed “How?” are weighed down by Elvrum’s
insistence on calling the visible world “the romance” or the unfortunate
lyric “Because the pupil of my eye is a hole / There’s no Inside and
there’s no Out / The world is in me and I am in the world” from the
shimmering “No Inside, No Out.” elvrum & sun records) 18.00

PAGE 99 document #7 LP (magic bullet - God, this record is sooo good!
Pg.99 bring to the table a composition in 5 tracks. If you haven't seen
the mighty Pg.99 yet, you are missing out...One part Born Against, one
part Assfactor4, mixed with a heavy amount of screamo influence- these
guys lay down the law.) 12.50

RINGERS detention halls LP (yoyoyo - Yes this is another fantastic
album in true RINGERS style. And yes, as soon as the opening 'Two Weeks'
hit ,I was hooked. This is a band whose sound is hard to pinpoint, the
underlying theme is energy and absolute rocking but they have a vague
approach which is excellent. The vocals are brilliant and at times even
remind me of, and hear me out on this, a mix of Rod Stewart, Bruce
Springsteen and Phil Lynot.see what I mean? This is not a predictable band at
all. They keep things simple and very effective. Just straight forward
punk rock. They certainly do things their own way and this is a band
who are just what we need right now. This is so fresh and the exact
direction I want to move in. Get with this band. ) 10.00

RAW RADAR WAR “==” LP (land of smiles - Jonah Jenkins' (Milligram/Only
Living Witness/Miltown) latest project that holds tight to a fine line
between hardcore & doom.
A completely brutal sonic experience. The soundtrack to the shit going
down) 16.00

RWAKE hell is a door to the sun 2xlp ( land of smiles - Hell Is a Door
to the Sun contains Rwake's most accomplished material to date,
combining sludge, doom and experimental metal with explosive results.
Throughout the 50 minutes the tracks twist, turn and writhe, taking the
listener on a nightmarish, but ultimately addictive journey through the
musical landscape. “The way of the South" has resonated through southern
music for generations and “the way”, it seems, for southern metal bands is
often raw, to-the-point, unfiltered expression; unflinching delivery
oozing with conviction. The southern bands just mean it a bit more. And
in that tradition, like EYEHATEGOD and BUZZOV*EN before them, RWAKE
f**king "mean it" and don’t care what you think) 23.00

RWAKE voices of omens 2xLP land of smiles / relapse records - Emerging
from deep in the backwoods of the American subconscious, Arkansas's
Rwake represent the dirty south with their intensely unique style of
acid-drenched metal. Hitting below the bible-belt in a narcotic-dazed fury
of epic proportions, Rwake's thick, tar-black riffing and vicious
male/female vocal attack plunge the listener head-first into the abyss as
their transcendent melodies and blazing leads raise the spirit to the
cosmos. Voices of Omens is a hostile explosion of hideously impure American
metal which emanates an eerie and unsettling vibe, haunting in
atmosphere and hallucinogenic in it's effect on the listener) 23.00

SLOW MOTIONS Dial Eleven LP (partners in crime - The Slow Motions are
from japan. Garagey tuneful fucked up punk rock played by Japanese
hardcore veterans. Get these songs stuck in your head and they will not go
away. Slowmotions are a longtime running punk band from TOKYO...
featuring ex and current members of EVANCE, RAWNECK, SHOCK, HAT TRICKERS,
LIBERATE, ACID, STICKS IN THROAT, BLAZE, RUGS CONCLUDE, ORDER, ZIKKEN,
RANGE and DIRTY HOSPITAL... etc, etc. This LP features all five of their
out of print singles on HG FACT.) 12.00

STRAIGHT TO HELL We Will Bury You LP (dead alive - Comprised of members
from such legendary East Coast bands such as Dropdead, Paindriver, and
Ulcer, Straight To Hell blast through twelve tracks of vicious hardcore
punk influenced by the best Scandinavian and Japanese bands (Anti
Cimex, Death Side, Gauze). Eleven originals, plus a cover of Anti Cimex's
‘Make My Day’.) 10.50

SUNNo)) BORIS ALTAR JAPAN BOX SET (daymare records - SunnO))) and Boris
cap off the year with Altar, a collaboration that attempts to bridge
the gap between the former's trance-inducing, minimalistic drone and the
latter's rock, doom, psychedelic freakouts. Black One, SunnO)))'s last
full-length, incorporated black metal vocals into their heavy sprawl
and was hailed as their best work to date. Boris' Pink found the band
flipping between the doom, sludge of Amplifier Worship and the garage punk
and metal of Heavy Rocks, giving listeners a wider range of what they
are capable of creating. SunnO))) winds up pulling away from their
moody, dark soundscapes, and Boris builds on a facet of their sound that's
less known. Together, they create an album that's somewhere in between
and unique enough to keep you coming back. this is the kick ass box set
edition of the ALTAR 3 way LP .. it just looks amazing and is limited
to 1000 copies. we got a handful. Limited to 1000 copies only and comes
on 200gr vinyl in a lavish black ultrathick box with gold and black
print, spot UV varnished, giving the print an embossed look. Comes with
grey transparent obi strip. Inside the box is a screenprinted (gold on
black) textile insert, a 30x30cm full colour / gold booklet, a Japanese
and English language 30x30 insert in b/w from Tomoyuki Yamazaki about
the project, three black vinyl records in printed padded inner sleeves.)

THIRD MEMORY "et de cela rien ne resort" LP (rok lok records - It was
almost two years ago when I received a number of releases from the
French label, Impure Muzik, as part of a trade to distribute their releases
here in the States while Joss over at Impure Muzik distributed Rok Lok
releases. While all of those releases I received from that trade were
very enjoyable the one that struck me the most was a CD by The Third
Memory titled “et de cela rien ne resort”. I was simply blown away by the
visceral power displayed in the music. It was a chaos that I found
hypnotically beautiful. Right around the same time, especially through my
intense networking and trading routines I became obsessed with European
hardcore, namely the passionate bands that were sprouting up all over
France- Belle Epoque, Daitro, Gantz, Iscariote, Amanda Woodward, and so
many others. But for me personally The Third Memory was at the top of
that list. In the last few years I have felt American DIY punk/hardcore
has become rather stagnant in terms of creating anything new or even
modifying things a bit. Bands seem to be frozen in time, and while The
Third Memory isn’t reinventing the wheel they have put their own unique
spin on screamy hardcore. So with my love of European hardcore unable to
be contained I wanted to do release something that would not only
document my love for the band but my love for European hardcore but also to
document the strength of the DIY international network because fact is
if I never traded records with Impure Muzik I would have never heard
The Third Memory. This LP pressing contains a non CD bonus track.
beautifully screened covers and inserts. LTD to 500) 10.00

THIS WILL DESTROY YOU "young mountain" LP (magic bullet - 1st time on
vinyl. Featured strongly in RockSound albums of the year 2006. This Will
Destroy You are an instrumental quartet who play a cascading brand of
cinematic rock music. Young Mountain is their formerly self released
masterstroke, a 6-song, 36 minute composition of aural brilliance that has
already garnered an obsessed fanbase both in their home state and in
underground circles worldwide.) 15.00

TRUSTY The Fourth Wise Man LP (dischord - Started in 1989 in the
Arkansas capital city, Trusty’s past is entwined & highly influential in punk
rock circles. From their debut, self-titled lp to their last release
for Dischord Records, The Fourth Wise Man, Trusty did great work pushing
the barriers of what punk music was to eventually become - the songs
continually searching for a guitar fueled pop antidote.) 11.50

THE WARMERS 14 songs LP (dischord - The Warmers, a jagged and
minimalist post-hardcore band from Washington, D.C., lasted over three years but
only released one full-length album before splitting. The band –
guitarist/vocalist Alec MacKaye, bassist/vocalist Juan Luis Carrera, drummer
Amy Farina – already had established themselves as valued members of
D.C.'s close-knit music scene prior to forming in 1994. MacKaye was in
Faith, Ignition, and Untouchables, and helped build D.C.'s hardcore punk
scene in the early ‘80s with his brother Ian MacKaye. Farina had helped
Lois Maffeo in Lois. Carrera (operator of the Slowdime label) had moved
from Arizona years prior to the Warmers and played in a band called
True Society. 1996 saw the release of the trio's self-titled album, which
was recorded and released by MacKaye's brother. The band broke up in
late 1997.) 11.50

CDS

DENY EVERYTHING fire this time CD (yo yo - Deny Everything hail from
the depths of western Germany and play a mostly melodic mixture of 80s
hardcore and the contemporary American style (the one without metal…). It
is really good to hear bands playing an angry kind of hardcore that
comes along without constant mosh parts and metal riffing but got one foot
deeply rooted in punk rock.

FUNERAL DINER "doors open" japan tour CD (diy – we got some copies back
in stock. This is CD contains 5 NEW Funeral Diner songs - that got just
released for the japan tour 2007 w/ ZANN.
PAcked in a nice screenprinted cardboard -- just a handful got made)
8.50

GHOST LIMB s/t CD (diy - Ghostlimb is the brainchild of Graf Orlock's
main songwriter and riffmonger Justin Smith and these eleven songs make
up their debut release. The songs are less grind than those of Graf
with more of a Catharsis, Swallowing Shit, and His Hero Is Gone influence
and the band has toured up and down the west coast alongside groups
like Owen Hart and Greyskull.) 8.00

PEACE on earth CD-R (PW ELVRUM - CDR in jewel case with folded up xerox
- Based out of Kamloops, BC, PEACE is a funk-rock quintet comprised of
two guitarists, a bassist, a percussionist, and an additional bassist.
The band’s music is multi-culti-folk-hop, a socially-conscious jam-slam
avalanche of killer hooks and fantastic grooves. With influences
ranging from 311 to Rusted Root, the end result is a jah-monkey trance sound
that is minimal, maximal, tasty and tight. Got it? Good. In recent
years, PEACE has averaged 85 shows annually—including tour support for
Mount Eerie and an appearance at What-the-Heck Fest – both at home in
British Columbia and on the road. The band is currently working with Maple
Booking (Hamilton, ON) and is sure to see an increase in their shows
upon the release of this debut album. They have also played Pendleton,
Oregon with YACHT. After starting out as Squad Boys in 2003—their
three-song demo cd, featuring the blazing non-album cut “Hamburgers” is
desperately out of print—the group changed their name to PEACE and recorded
“ON EARTH” with Phil Elverum in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. With uzi-like
melodies and an uncanny sense of the rhythms of human sex, “ON EARTH” is
a loose cannon, heart-on-the-crotch love letter to the world at large.
There’s just one question: is the world ready for aggressive PEACE? )
