THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER to release "Nocturnal"
The often imitated yet never duplicated Detroit deathsters THE BLACK DAHILA MURDER have returned to the public eye to reclaim their rightful throne as leaders of all things extreme with their third blackened opus of thrashing melodic death metal, “Nocturnal”. "I don't think the pretenders will be able to match this one," proclaims vocalist Trevor Strnad of their scorching new offering, "It's fucking over the top. Brian (Eschbach; guitarist/songwriter) has really outdone himself this time. The kid eats lightning and shits chains."
Recorded at Trax East with Eric Rachel and mixed by Jason Seucof at Audiohammer, the band’s third full length Metal Blade release, Nocturnal, is chock full of flesh searing riffage, mind-bending guitar solos by fret-freak John Kempainen, and the disgustingly poetic gore soaked lyricism that legions of the band's manically adoring fans have been hungering for. “From the songs, to the artwork, to the sound quality itself, we could not be more pleased with the results” states vocalist Trevor Strnad. The artwork was done by Necrolord aka Kristian Wahlin.

IMPIOUS – new homepage up and running!
Yo muddafukkaz! New site is up and running… F I N A L L Y ! ! ! Don’t worry, the asshole who handled the whole thing is now dead and eaten. We got the hang of it now, so expect this site to be updated regularly.

THE ABSENCE To Film 'Dead And Gone' Video!
Tampa, Florida-based melodic thrashers THE ABSENCE will shoot a video for their track "Dead and Gone" at the end of the month in New York with director Kevin Custer (THE DESTRO, DECYFER DOWN).
"Dead and Gone" ( http://www.myspace.com/theabsence ) comes off the group's sophomore CD, "Riders of the Plague", due on August 7 via Metal Blade Records. The album was recorded at Mana Studios in Florida with Swedish producer Jonas Kjellgren (SCAR SYMMETRY, CARNAL FORGE). Mixing duties were handled by Jonas at his Black Lounge studios in Avesta, Sweden. The CD features guest appearances by guitarists James Murphy (DEATH, TESTAMENT), Jonas Kjellgren, Per Nilsson (SCAR SYMMETRY) and Santiago Dobles (AGHORA) as well as guest vocals by Jonas Granvik (WITHOUT GRIEF, EDGE OF SANITY).
