Dear everyone,

This is just a small Newsletter from BLACKTOP Records for Winter 2008/2009. It is the first part of some major announcements.
So, what happened in the last months?
BLACKTOP Records signed new distributional contracts with Radar Music / motionFX, which involves a huger distribution in Germany for some of our releases.
Waterdown, Just Went Black, Black Haven and others have been on the road this fall and toured all over Europe. Their releases are still hot!
Some other bands such as Storm & Stress, The Blackout Argument, Ritual, Lighthouse Project, End Of A Year or Deathbed recorded/released or will record/release new records on new labels. More below.

Finally, what happens to BLACKTOP Records is going to be announced in this newsletter and in the upcoming one.

1. Welcome DEATH IS NOT GLAMOROUS to BLACKTOP Records

When asking Terje from DEATH IS NOT GLAMOROUS for a biography, all I got was: "we're just 5 dudes playing hardcore you know. started out in '05, from oslo, norway, been touring quite a lot, released some EPs, this is the first full length and it's gonna be good."
And that's pretty much it. I'm listening to "Soft Clicks" right now and it's the only truely positive record in YOUR universe.
"Soft Clicks" contains 13 songs, can be preordered here [http://estore.blacktoprecords.de/?id=IT ... 1225818220] and will be released on December 06, 2008. Expect a Releaseshow with Ritual, Storm & Stress (their Releaseshow as well), Deny Everything and MHz in beloved Ibbenbüren on December 06, 2008. Yay!

2. WITHIN WALLS "set me free" CD - Out now!

WITHIN WALLS' long-awaited debut full-length is finally available now. They just returned from tour with their killer Album "Set Me Free". Around half an hour of politic lessons in a Strife, Trial and Earth Crisis sound outfit. Doesn't that sound good?

3. Storm & Stress, The Blackout Argument, Ritual, Lighthouse Project, End Of A Year and Deathbed to release new records on new labels.

Ooooookay. Let's sum it up:
STORM & STRESS recently signed to Let It Burn Records and released their new "SIN EP". <a href="http://estore.blacktoprecords.de/?id=ITM&CD-216202" target="_blank">Available here!</a>
END OF A YEAR signed to Deathwish Inc and will probably release around 152 split 7"s and one full-length within the upcoming 10 years.
RITUAL married Johan and Reflections Records. Congratulations!
THE BLACKOUT ARGUMENT just finished recording their new full-length, to be released by Lifeforce in early 2009. New material is awesome!
LIGHTHOUSE PROJECT released a 7" + DVD on Combat Rock Industry a few months ago. Keep your eyes on our EStore because it will be available really soon!
DEATHBED also signed to Combat Rock Industry and will release a new full-length soon. Check out their tourdates below.

4. BLACKTOP Records future.

BLACKTOP Records has been really quite in the past months - for reason. I finally started studying again and became busier with Storm & Stress and other projects besides Hardcore. Sometimes, you're at a point where you have to set priorities, which I did.
I've always had high standards which I can't achieve anymore. This is why this label will get a new outfit and a new philosophy, starting on January 1, 2009.
However, against rumors and/or what I told people some weeks ago: BLACKTOP Records is NOT going to die, but to change. Yes, we can. (Sorry for that one)
