Remember last summer when four punkrockers came over to destroy everything and placing their unforgetable note of hardcore punk in our countries? Now there is the second time that our good friends from LEWD ACTS are going to rule on European stages. And you know why? Because last time was a blast!
For some true nihilist punks, for some a bit to much of this, this band showed who they are and that they are more than selfish on represent, which their current record "Black Eye Blues" out on DEATHWISH INC. has promised us.
For me this band has brought back something I missed in the last time in Hardcore music, to be truly addicted to the old Punk stuff but even not stocked into bands or styles that being ages ago. So I guess those ones that are not in touch with what LEWD ACTS do yet I could describe it as rough, dark and self destructive Hardcore Punk in the veins of Bands like BLACKLISTED, CURSED, CONVERGE and TRASH TALK.
One Year later and after an huge US tour with Bands like CONVERGE, THURSDAY, GAZA, COALESCE, HARVEY MILK and BLACK BREATH they are back and ready for Europe.
Perfect Support for this powerteam are AT DAGGERS DRAWN, also really crazy youngsters from Berlin, Germany which are around with there own idea of Modern Hardcore since 2009. They already absolved a few smaller tours in Europe and Russia and played shows all over as hard as they can. A current split with DAGGERS is out on FIELDS OF HOPE RECORDS & there Debut full length will follow in the summer of 2010.

Lewd Acts' brand of raw noise reeks of true soul and stunning originality. Opting to embrace their pre-1988 punk and hardcore influences, they collectively shun metal tendencies of todays hardcore scene. Vocally crooning and sonically winding their way through each song in ways that are continuously moving and exciting.
Their latest album "Black Eye Blues" was engineered by Kurt Ballou (Converge) at God City Studios. "Black Eye Blues" shows Lewd Acts growing right before our eyes, splitting shoes as they evolve at a monstrous rate. Their razor sharp precision and dynamic instrumentation continues to reach passed punks limitations while embracing it in spirit. All of this is a vivid backdrop for vocalist Tyler Densley's poetically bruising storytelling. His gruff candor is unforgettable; Sad, tragic, and true to life. Songs like the thematic pairing "You Don't Need Me" and "I Don't Need You" are a true example of this. While the epic closer "Nowhere To Go" proves that Lewd Acts are comfortable creatively coloring outside the lines. Habitually defying the rules as they artistically redefine what is real rebellion in song.

Perhaps you know this... waking up, walking around and watching how daily life brings you in a mood that you just feel goddamn weak and lost? Feeling alone in a crowd of friends and strangers? These are just a few examples that we use to try to explain what's the intention behind At Daggers Drawn. Formed in 2008 some of us already played in other bands and we wanted to start something new. And like almost every band it took a while to find a constant line up and our own path to go. Having started to record stuff since early 2009 we played a lot of shows since then and ended up last year with nearly a month of touring trough Spain, Portugal and France with Tackleberry. For 2010 lots of things are happening. Besides playing even more shows like the already absolved Eastern European/Russian tour with our Belgian friends "Daggers” we are recording our debut full length in spring of 2010 that will be released through Fields Of Hope Records. At Daggers Drawn is not a band that talks about tons of fucked up things going on in this world added with a positive message or a masterplan. More likely we try to share our point of view, that everything that surrounds us has an impact on us and where we are after growing up for years under the "shelter" of a prosperous society. In our music we found a way to release all our fear and anger. Playing shows is what we're all heading on and what gives a sense to our life. At Daggers Drawn is based in the fields of modern Hardcore in the vein of bands like Modern Life Is War, The Legacy ... we could name plenty more but this wouldn't say anything about us, so get your own impression.....
