POISON THE WELL - Neues Album
... arbeiten an einem neuen Album und schreiben: "So we started writing our next record a few weeks ago here in Florida. Our practice space is basically a gutted building that the owner was sweethearted enough to let us invade, so we cleared out a space and set up all of our equipment, found some beyond-awesome Halloween decorations in the building, and set up our own little area of excellence. I found 3 life-sized mummies with glowing light-up eyes, and put them next to my amp to be my little buddies. Also, it turns out our building is haunted. Chris and Brad Grace keep seeing moving shadows out of the corner of their eyes, Chris felt the distinct feeling of being touched on the shoulder, and then his snare drum got mysteriously turned off. Strange things abound adding to the already-creepy nature of the building and our situation. I love it. My new rule is that if anyone sees a ghost, whatever riff is being played at the time has to go on the record. To either please the creepy critters or piss them off, whichever.
We have a small handful of songs done so far and I think we're all really stoked on how they're coming out. I'm not going to waste my breathe (or my finger dexterity?) trying to describe what they sound like because that's always an impossible task, but so far they don't necessarily sound like any of the other records, and they rock pretty furiously. But let's get real, we're just writing whatever the ghosts in our building tell us to write. They're running this shit hard."
