Avocado Booking Announces: Rise Records European Tour 2011
MEMPHIS MAY FIRE have consistently pushed the envelope to redefine both themselves and the various sub-genres they’ve made their mark within. 2009’s “Sleepwalking” full-length yielded no exception as the band ventured into the territory of Post-Hardcore / Southern Rock with no reservations. Their fresh approach to an otherwise stale scene gathered critical acclaim and found “Ghost In The Mirror” featured on the both the Saw VI Soundtrack and DVD/Blu-Ray releases. Subsequent touring with the likes of Asking Alexandria, From First To Last, and Alesana facilitated the delivery of their music to the masses and established a live precedent that the band continues to build on today.
Fast forward to 2011 and MEMPHIS MAY FIRE have now partnered with Rise Records as an outlet for their musical creativity. This move continues to broaden the bandÂ’s reach and welcomes a new world of possibilities within the scope of their burgeoning career. MMFÂ’s high-octane live show acts as a testament to their ever-increasing identity and always leaves the audience wanting more.
THE COLOR MORALE is a 5 piece melodic hardcore band based out of Rockford Illinois. After well over 5 years of hard work and dedication in the midwest music scene under a different alias, the band changed their name in 2008 with a new name, purpose, mission, and goal. Shortly after, they recorded their first EP with Joey Sturgis under the name The Color Morale which would shortly after translate to a freshman release full length album titled "we all have demons" on Rise Records. The band is currently touring rigorously all over the United States with high hopes for the near future and continuing to work harder than ever while maintaining the mission they set forth. They titled their band "The Color Morale" as a mission statement to stay true to the belief and faith in their institution, goals, and even selves.
Some bands just seem like they were meant to be. They turn heads wherever they go, and make an impact on anyone who hears them. They make hard work look effortless and fun, and opportunities fall into place as a result. Dream On Dreamer exemplifies that exact idea. With a mashup of nationalities (Marcel is German, Aaron is American and everyone else is Australian) and backgrounds, the six members became friends as quickly as they became musical companions. They quickly came together as a unit and began making a name for themselves within their home country.
Since then, the story is short and sweet. Their "Hope" EP was picked up by Australian's biggest hardcore label Boomtown Records, and the band was invited to participate in the Australian leg of the Take Action 2010 tour alongside Attack Attack and Pierce the Veil. They played and toured relentlessly around their base country with all the big names, and ended up being voted by readers of the countries biggest heavy/alternative radio poll as the #15 best record of 2010. Expect their Rise Records Debut out in time for this tour.
