SUICIDE SILENCE - Kein Sell-Out

Fr., 01.02.2008 - 12:28 Uhr

... äußern sich im gestrigen Blogeintrag auf ihrer MySpace Seite zu den Vorwürfen, dass die Band sich verkaufen würde.

Hier die Info: " We posted a blog about this over a year ago & here it comes again in 2008. We'll keep this short and sweet.

Many of you are essentially saying we'd be better off playing in front of the fan-base that already knows us as opposed to steering fans of Slipknot/Disturbed, etc. into a direction of extreme metal that they may otherwise not even know about or may have never be exposed to?

We tour constantly all year long, travel in vans that break down, and cram 5-6 guys into single hotel rooms to save money, still not coming home with money equivalent to working at your local mall. It's not glamorous and it's not easy. However, we like to always step things up and expand our live show. We'll never be able to do this if we tour in the same "league" of bands for our entire career. There's just no way we'd be able to implement all of the ideas we come up with to make our live sets more intense and unique to the specific time you see our band.

Also, if you had a choice between playing on a huge stage with great sound and hundreds of fans headbanging in the first few rows vs. smaller stages with poor sound, inexperienced techs, & less fans rocking out, which would you choose? Sure the small shit is fun sometimes, but this is our career here and unfortunately that involves more than just having fun all the time. Our music is not changing. We'll tour with whatever bands we want. Deal with it.
