THE ARCANE ORDER - Studio-Blog

Mo., 03.09.2007 - 07:58 Uhr

... sind der zeit im Studio und lassen folgendes verlauten:

"Okay, so here we are people. It's about time to get this studio diary fired up. I am currently sitting at home working on the leads for the new record, whilst writing this blog, enjoying a glass of cold Baileys Mint and listening to the good ol' classic "Fornever Laid To Rest" with Swedish Seance (yop, Jensen from The Haunted's old band).

It's pretty weird that we'll actually enter the studio just 3 days from now. I can't believe how quickly time has passed by! I mean it seems like only a couple of months ago since we left Jacob Hansens studio when we recorded "The Machinery Of Oblivion" (TMOO), although it's been almost 1½ year. No matter what, the other guys and myself can't wait to get started recording the new monster. We've got quite a nice and nasty surprise for you guys with this record… it's gonna be different from TMOO, but it'll undoubtly kick your ass twice as hard!

Enough said… we have one more rehearsal to go tomorrow Sunday, before we leave for the studio on Monday. The last rehearsal will only be Morten, Kasper K and myself, since Kasper T and Boris are occupied elsewhere. We still have a few minor adjustments to go through, but I am quite confident we all know what to do in the studio.

It HAS been a little hectic though… Just 1½ months ago we were still 4 songs short! And considering it usually easily takes like 1-2 months to finish up a song, we were under a lot of pressure! But somehow we managed to be ultra creative during the last couple of months, and how the hell we came up with such killer songs during such er short time, I have no idea -
but we did it!

There are 2 things I look forward to in the studio… one thing is of course to record the album and see how it takes it's form day by day. The other one is to just hang out with the other guys, have a few beers, play some Playstation, which some soccer and just chill, when time allows us. Time is gonna pass really fast for sure, and before we know it the record is finished and we're outta there - back to resume our daily lives.

All right, I better stop for now and get on with the shredding. I am currently working on the lead for the song "Death Is Imminent" which is one of the faster songs, and the lead will be one of the faster ones as well. I think it's turning out pretty neat! :-)

Right on, we will be back with more stuff after the last rehearsal. Check back tomorrow good people!

/Flemming"
