Gitarrist Wyatt McLaughlin kommentiert:
"The Face is a sequel to our song "A Face Amongst The Flames" from our first full-length. The songs both explore the existence of good and evil/positivity and negativity within and the inherent push and pull between the two. In this song, the protagonist finds some resolutions he wants to hear - and some he does not."
